Sky Harbor Aegis | 1 January 2021

= /\ = Aegis Mission Brief 1/1/21 = /\ =
 = /\ = 26 June 2388 - Stardate 2388.179 =/\=

TBS is 2 days - the time is 0900 hours (09:00 am) Aegis Local.
Commander Coleridge boards the Oberth ships to check them out.
The ships’ personnel have been released from medical.
Only one from Chi Chong has died.
Captain Chirakis seems suspicious as she walks the decks.
The command crew is gathering in the conference room to report.
Questions?

Scott Coleridge: ?
Sierra Robinson: ?
Chirakis: Scott
Scott Coleridge: Is it that Chirakis seems to have suspicion of something, or do others see Chirakis as suspicious?
Chirakis: Both
Chirakis: Lt Robinson
Sierra Robinson: So exploration of the Oberths is complete?
Chirakis: After two days, I would hope so.
Sierra Robinson: okay thanks!
Chirakis: Commander Coleridge, do you need more time to investigate all the ships?
Scott Coleridge: No, I think we are good.

mimipavilion: ::arriving on the CnC to go to the meeting in the conference room::
Dacia Sandero: ::working in sickbay, writing up the last of her reports::
Chirakis: :::in her office, ready to move into the conference room.
Alexis McFarland: ::with Miana and Annisha::
Chirakis: ::she takes a deep breath and enters::
mimipavilion: ::takes a seat::
Chirakis: ::turns back:: Commander Cayne, you have the conn.
Scott Coleridge: ::about to enter the conference room::
Chirakis: ::enters the conference room and plunks her tablet on the table::::
Sierra Robinson: :: enters C n C and spots Commander Coleridge :: Sir....Commander Coleridge....
Scott Coleridge: ::Sierra:: Yes?
Sierra Robinson: :: walks up to the Commander and offers her PADD :: Sir...here is my report on our expedition. I felt it could be of use for your meeting.
Alexis McFarland: ::at Blubby's, eating a Blubby Breakfast Wrap::
Scott Coleridge: ::Sierra:: Much obliged.
Sierra Robinson: :: smiles :: Thanks for letting me have a crack at the mystery. I will report back to engineering if you need anything.
Scott Coleridge: ::nods and then goes into the conference room::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Walking to the meeting ::
Sierra Robinson: :: heads to the Lift ::
Scott Coleridge: ::turns before he enters:: Lieutenant Robinson…
Sierra Robinson: :: stops :: Yes Sir?
Amanda Davis PhD: :::in the medical complex, attending to business:::
Scott Coleridge: ::Sierra:: Would you prefer to deliver these thoughts yourself? ::gestures into the conference room::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Sees Robinson ahead ::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: Enters the conference room himself, a mug in his hand ::
Sierra Robinson: Uh....sure... Why not...I suppose one is needed to translate Sierrian...
Scott Coleridge: ::enters the conference room with Robinson::
Chirakis: ::assuming that Cayne had given the con to someone else, she nods:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Goes inside to get a seat ::
Annisha: Blub> Any good Alexis?
Chirakis: Are we missing anyone?
Sierra Robinson: :: enters conference room smiling at Nijil...the lieutenant takes a seat at conference room and has the PADD with her ::
Dacia Sandero: ::looks around the relatively empty sickbay::
Alexis McFarland: Yes, very good ::snuggles Miana::
Sierra Robinson: :: takes seat ::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Nods to her as he takes his seat. Days had passed since the med bay visit, but nothing for him had changed ::
Chirakis: ::leans forward and opens her padd:::
Chirakis: ::as the door closes::: We have much to attend to. I would like to begin with Dr Pavilion. Doctor?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Looks at the doctor ::
Chirakis: ::hoping that everyone from the ships are now well:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Hears a voice in his head calling his name...ignores it ::
mimipavilion: ::nods:: The personnel of all three ships have been released, with the exception of one who died from difficulty of breathing due to an unknown allergy. They were all malnourished.
Amanda Davis PhD: ::making her rounds in the medical complex... a child with a splinter in her finger to begin with:::
Chirakis: An unknown allergy. You are testing the contents?
Chirakis: ::elbows leaning on the desk, ready to make notes if needed:::
mimipavilion: Yes analysis is still ongoing, it looks like it was something he ate.
Sierra Robinson: :: adjusts her mask ::
Chirakis: Something he ate while in the complex or something he ate while in the nebula?
mimipavilion: That's the ultimate question we're looking into.
Chirakis: ::nods:: Send the information to me when you do.
Annisha: Blub> :: eats and drinks ::
mimipavilion: ::nods:: will do.
Sierra Robinson: :: certainly respects allergies given what happened to her earlier with the Alien Plants ::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: Listens ::
Alexis McFarland: ::eats as well::
Chirakis: ::turns::: Commander Coleridge? ::turns to listen:::
Scott Coleridge: We inspected the Chi Song.
Scott Coleridge: Most of our investigation is inconclusive, but we found a few interesting correlations. For example, we think that whatever phenomenon drained the power from the ships left a residual static charge on the hulls of the ships.
Amanda Davis PhD: ::after removing the splinter, she hands the girl a lollipop and sends her on her way::
Scott Coleridge: I've asked Lieutenant Robinson to provide her summary of our findings. ::nods at Sierra::
Chirakis: :::now very interested, she turns to Sierra:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Looking at his padd ::
Alexis McFarland: ::eating a Blubby Pie for dessert::
Annisha: Blub> They have pies?
Sierra Robinson: We explored all known areas of the ships regarding power generation, transfer and usage. We could not find any trace of the phenomenon that drained these vessels aside from a residual static charge trance on exteriors inside the ship.
Alexis McFarland: It's new I think. Though I don't know what fruit the filling is.
Sierra Robinson: One item of interest to point out. While all ship's systems linked to the main power grid were affected by the unknown phenomenon, individual shuttles powered down on the Oberth vessels were not affected by the phenomenon.
Sierra Robinson: It is as if, whatever went through these ships passed over the shuttlecraft as if they were rocks in a stream ...letting them be.
Chirakis: Clarify, Lieutenant.
Sierra Robinson: The Chi Song had four science craft aboard. Small shuttles for observational purposes these Type IV craft were powered down when we found them. We investigated their internal power systems and found them completely operational.
Scott Coleridge: In other words, the power-draining phenomenon only drained power from systems on the ship that were active. Independently-powered systems were unaffected as long as they were grounded from the ship’s hull.
Sierra Robinson: Lt Tarisa postulated that perhaps the phenomenon gained entry to the ship's systems via the bussard ramscoops, and, perhaps I would like to add, exited through the warp coils themselves. Further analysis will be needed to verify this.
Scott Coleridge: This gives us some interesting directions for R&D to pursue in terms of defences, should this phenomenon... re-occur.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Listens ::
Sierra Robinson: :: looks to Commander Coleridge with a nod as to say that is all she has ::
Chirakis: Indeed. Let us hope that it does not reoccur.
Chirakis: :::slight pause before she continues::: I'm curious about....
Chirakis: ...about the nebulae supposedly sucking energy from the ship but not from the ship's interior.
Chirakis: :::looks around::: Did any of the ship’s personnel attempt to use the internal craft?
Scott Coleridge: No, according to the logs they weren’t accessed while the ships were in the nebula.
Chirakis: :::rocks back, thinking:::
Sierra Robinson: :: wonders if that was brought up in the interviews of the survivors ::
Chirakis: And from what I understand, the nebular waves disappeared as soon as the ships were dead in space. Is that correct?
Scott Coleridge: Correct.
Chirakis: Very well. ::turns to Nijil:: Any words from you, Commander Korjata?
Chirakis: :::glance to Cayne:::
Chirakis: Anything from anyone else?
mimipavilion: ::shakes her head::
Chirakis: Very well.  Considering something that must not go beyond this office.....
Chirakis: Several high level personnel have found that Aegis is not only being compromised from outside. It is also being compromised from the interior. We must be very cautious. Watch and report to myself or Commander Coleridge if need be.
Chirakis: Questions?
Sierra Robinson: Is this in regards to the plants Captain?
Chirakis: Somewhat.
Sierra Robinson: Understood.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Hope it is not me.
Chirakis: However, it goes beyond just one thing or one area.
Sierra Robinson: :: looks to Nijil wondering what he meant by that....::
Chirakis: Security is informed.
mimipavilion: Is there any one person or group of people to look for?
Chirakis: Anyone else... besides myself and the Commander... is classified.
Chirakis: Watch, Doctor.
mimipavilion: ::nods::
Chirakis: There are ordinary people for the most part on Aegis. The few others are.... compromising.
Chirakis: Anything else?
Chirakis: Very well...
Chirakis: Dismissed. :::she stands as they do::::
Sierra Robinson: :: stands and exits ::
mimipavilion: ::stands and walks to the door, making sure she doesn't bump into other people or they bump into her::

Chirakis: Thank you
Chirakis: Well done.
Chirakis: TBS will be one week.
Chirakis: A longer time to allow personnel to settle down, relax, and think.
Sierra Robinson: ?
Chirakis: Question, Lt Robinson?
Sierra Robinson: Will the Oberths be still moored at Aegis in a week or will they be removed to R@D?
Chirakis: High level personnel will tend to that one. We hand them over and they make a decision.
Sierra Robinson: okay thanks!
Chirakis: Comments for the crew, Commander Coleridge?
Nijil tr'Korjata: Should do a log over the week
Chirakis: Any more questions from the crew?
Chirakis: I thank you all for coming tonight. Happy New Year to all.
Sierra Robinson: Happy New Year!
Chirakis: Crew dismissed. Be well. Be Safe. Don’t forget your towel.
