= /\ = 23 June 2388 - Stardate 2388.174 = /\ =

TBS is 0 - the time is 1500 hours (3:00 pm) Aegis Local.
USS Rodman, USS Chi Song, and USS Agincourt are berthed at Aegis.
Personnel are under quarantine in the medical complex.
Engineering is examining the ships.
The nebular mists have strangely vanished.
Flowering vines on deck 188 have taken root near the cargo deck.
They have done nothing that would endanger anything or anyone.

mimipavilion: ::in medical::
CdrBrown: ::in Drankum's finishing up a late lunch::
Chirakis: :::staring out the window over the commerce deck, checking those who are in that area:::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: With Robinson ::
Dacia Sandero: ::working in sickbay, checking on the patients::
Tarisa: Miana> ::With the Goon squad. She has a backpack full of snack bars and juice boxes.::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: feeling out of it again ::
Alexis McFarland: ::with Miana and Annisha, she also has a backpack full of snacks and drinks as well:: We thought of the same thing.
CdrBrown: ::finishes the last bites of his Reuben and wipes the mustard from his mouth::
Alexis McFarland: ::the other two girls nod:: Red-haired girl>. Stick close so you don't get lost. It's easy to get lost under there.
Amanda Davis PhD: :::approaches Mimi:: It seems that most of the crew are relaxed and ready to leave, even though I believe it should take another 24 hours just to make sure.
Sierra Robinson: Chubby Bolian Kid> I got my lunch...made my Mom.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Nods.:: Mm. Best to be prepared.
CdrBrown: ::pays his tab, grabs the last sip of root beer, and gets up::
Alexis McFarland: ::glances at Chubs:: Nice.
mimipavilion: ::Amanda:: Agreed.
Dacia Sandero: ::Nods::
Alexis McFarland: ::holds Miana:: Let's go.
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> :: follows trying to fit in ::
Annisha: Where ya going Alexis?
Alexis McFarland: We're off to see the plant thingie.
CdrBrown: ::exits the establishment and heads up the nearest set of stairs to the observation level::
Sierra Robinson: :: enjoying a late lunch at the promenade ::
Annisha: Oh yeah. Let's go.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Follows, and begins humming.::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: watching the action from his station ::
Scott Coleridge: ::on the CnC, pondering the scan results::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> So are we going to visit the kid-eating-plants?
Alexis McFarland: Red-haired girl, Meg>. ::leads the group around to an empty corridor leading to an access tube:: After you...:gestures inside, once she opens the hatch::
Alexis McFarland: ::nods:: Yes, hopefully it's not hungry
Alexis McFarland: ::enters the access tube::
Annisha: :: Follows her friends ::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Looks down the hatch, before climbing down herself.::
CdrBrown: ::stares out the nearest window, seeing a couple of crumbs still lurking in his beard through his reflection::
Sierra Robinson: :: sips her tea with her salad ::
Alexis McFarland: Meg> ::closes the hatch and climbs down as well::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Is eating with Sierra Robinson ::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs>:: struggles down tube ::
Chirakis: ::as she watches those on the commerce deck she is more contemplative than usual:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: eating a sandwich :: I am still feeling out of it. I thought I would be over my experience by now.
Sierra Robinson: That ship inspection...all three...same thing. Something I doubt Starfleet has run into before, I had a class mention Breen Dampening weapons in the Dominion war..but those left clues to what happened.
CdrBrown: ::completely failing to do anything about the crumbs in his beard, steps away from the window and walks towards the lift::
Sierra Robinson: Oh sorry...I won't talk shop now.
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> Man..I am so buff...no plant is gonna eat me..
CdrBrown: ::enters the TL:: CnC, please....
Scott Coleridge: ::finishing a post-scan analysis, pondering::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Please please kitten, don't mind me. :: Nijil facepalms :: Elements. I think I am still Prani..
Alexis McFarland: Meg>. ::kind of hopes the plant eats him first:: There we are. We need to use this crawlway, might be a tight squeeze for you. Maybe suck in your belly.
Alexis McFarland: ::to Chubbs:
Tarisa: Miana> ::Giggles as she starts through the crawlway.::
Alexis McFarland: ::follows after MIana::
Sierra Robinson: Sir. .. :: decides to ask :: Are you seeing a Doctor about this?
Nijil tr'Korjata: The dampening is different from that conflict.
CdrBrown: ::exits the TL to see Scott with a look of deep thought on his face::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Not yet... Guess I should.
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> Heh!!!
CdrBrown: ::to Scott:: You need a meal relief?
Annisha: :: Watching their backs ::
Sierra Robinson: If something were to happen where we need you on the level sir....and that well...happens. ...
Nijil tr'Korjata: I think it's a memory crossing.
Scott Coleridge: ::Brown:: No, thanks, I had a light lunch. I need to … it’s not micro wormholes, I don’t think. What about a cloaked ship? Or ships? Some kind of cloaked array?
Alexis McFarland: Pretty tight crawlway, I guess this is how you kids got around, eh?
Nijil tr'Korjata: Muuhi warned me, given how long I was in their time.
Amanda Davis PhD: :::paging through the information she has gained from the crew and a few other things:::
Alexis McFarland: ::Meg nods:: Yeah, takes you pretty anywhere you need to go
Sierra Robinson: :: partakes of more of her salad :: I guess I think...I am saying is ..maybe you should take some more time off Sir.
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> ::: trying not to fall behind...is actually keeping up ::
CdrBrown: ::leans in:: cloaked array? that much power drain would require a sizable piece of equipment. have any of the scans indicated an unexplained mass?
Alexis McFarland: ::keeps going as well::
Scott Coleridge: Not causing the drain. The mist does that on its own. But as an explanation for where the power went.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Climbs out of the crawlway. Dusts herself off.::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Na, I just need a visit with the doctors. I should be fine. :: pause :: We need to find out who disabled those ships.
Alexis McFarland: ::dusts herself off as well::
Nijil tr'Korjata: It's something I would do if I was constructing a base within the nebula.
Scott Coleridge: While the advanced sensors might detect cloaked ships under certain circumstances, I'm not sure they could do so at such a distance...and the ships, if they were there, have almost certainly moved on now that the mist has dissipated.
Chirakis: :::deep sigh as she pushes away from the window:::
Alexis McFarland: Meg> Nice work. We just need to go down this ladder which should take us directly there.
Scott Coleridge: But imagine... a cloaked vessel or group of vessels uses the mists to siphon away the power, and then they leave and disperse the mist. We have no way of tracing where that energy went.
CdrBrown: It would still require a decently sized battery to store the energy, unless it was serving as a gateway to transmit the energy elsewhere.
Sierra Robinson: :: pauses :: To develop a weapon system that leaves no trace of its attack is remarkable. And...a bit beyond my understanding of Energy Transfer Physics.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: nods to Sierra :: +Mimi+ This is Nijil.
Scott Coleridge: True. So for now it’s just a theory. But the sensors didn’t turn up the tell-tale signs of micro-wormholes. I'm open to other ideas.
Sierra Robinson: :: quiets ::
Scott Coleridge: ::sighs:: Unless engineering can find something on the ships to give us ideas.
Alexis McFarland: ::starts climbing down the ladder::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Looks down again.::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Starts climbing.::
CdrBrown: would the sensor turn up micro wormholes if they were hidden and shielded inside of a ship?
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> :: turns on a flashlight and looks down :: Oh man...Superchild time.
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Mimi Pavilion+ I need to schedule an appointment. I have issues with my recovery.
Annisha: :: Watching Alexis :
CdrBrown: with the interference caused by the gas, plus shielding from the vessel itself.... it would make for a great way to hide things. Probably even allow whoever is doing this to use smaller vessels that are even more difficult to detect.
mimipavilion: +Nijil+ Alright, when is a good time for you, I would like Dr. Davis to join us.
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Mimi+ I am not swamped with work, so when is a good time for you?
Sierra Robinson: :: sips her ice tea trying not to be an intrusive listener ::
Scott Coleridge: So, I guess that brings us to the bigger question of... why?
Alexis McFarland: Meg> Not much longer...
Scott Coleridge: This is *not* possibly an efficient way of stealing power. Anyone who can pull this off can generate enough power. And our ships are not themselves damaged. Pump them full of deuterium and antimatter and they're good to go.
Scott Coleridge: So what has been accomplished here, other than to bewilder us?
Alexis McFarland: ::climb climb::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> :: finally makes it down the ladder...and looks triumphant :: Man, that was intense.
CdrBrown: Charging a much bigger weapon.... powering a society where power generation is difficult otherwise..... an elaborate prank?
Annisha: :: to Alexis :: Hey, what level are we on?
Tarisa: Miana> ::Hops off ladder.:: That was a long climb...
mimipavilion: +Nijil+ will now work for you
Alexis McFarland: ::sighs:: 188?
Chirakis: :::slow pace around CnC:::
Alexis McFarland: Meg> We're almost there.
Annisha: Can't be, they would have force fields in place.
Sierra Robinson: :: munches some croutons ::
Nijil tr'Korjata: +mimi+ Yes. :: to Robinson :: I will see the doctor now. Thanks
Alexis McFarland: Oh, that would make our trip a very short one.
mimipavilion: +Nijil+ Understood.
mimipavilion: ::Amanda:: Can you join me in my office?
Tarisa: Miana> We should rest and have snacks.
mimipavilion: ::takes a seat behind her desk::
Annisha: If au hit the shield, it will get ya.
Annisha: Everyone stop!
Alexis McFarland: ::Nods at Miana:: I agree. The shield will get us, or the plant?
Alexis McFarland: ::stops::
Annisha: The shield.
Sierra Robinson: I hope you have a productive appointment sir. Be well sir.
Alexis McFarland: Ah. ::moves closer to the others:: It's the type that shocks you?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Says something in Yith without thinking ::
CdrBrown: What if draining power from a few ships, in the middle of literally nowhere is just a test of their capabilities?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: walks off from lunch and arrives moments later at sickbay ::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> :: The Bolian 9 year old is of course willing to break out the snacks ::
CdrBrown: would engulfing an entire planet be an efficient transfer of energy?
Alexis McFarland: ::sits down on the ground and takes off her backpack::
Annisha: I think this is as close as we can get.
Sierra Robinson: :: stands briefly with a face of concern as her superior departs ::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Has a seat and pulls out a few snack bars, handing them out. Then gets the juice boxes.::
Scott Coleridge: I mean, settled planets can produce a lot of power, sure.
Alexis McFarland: Ah. It was still a fun adventure.
Alexis McFarland: Can we at least see it from here?
Annisha: I don't think so... I don't have a drone either.
Amanda Davis PhD: :::sorting material as her lunch arrives next to her::: Thank you, Ensign.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: enters sickbay :: Doctor?
Alexis McFarland: Yeah, I should've thought of that
Amanda Davis PhD: Ensign> Anything else you need, ma'am?
Amanda Davis PhD: Oh, no. This is fine.
CdrBrown: On Earth, in the early to mid 1900s, they tested nukes in the middle of nowhere, where the general population wouldn't notice or be impacted
Amanda Davis PhD: :::notes Nijil entering the medical complex:::
Sierra Robinson: :: finishes up her meal and heads to Main Engineering for a late shift ::
mimipavilion: ::Nijil:: I'm in my office. ::pages Amanda to her office::
Scott Coleridge: They did *what*??
Amanda Davis PhD: :::hears the page and moves toward Mimi's office::::
Alexis McFarland: ::eating some snacks::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Sipping on a juice box, she reaches into her backpack again, pulling out a small set of what looks like tools.::
Annisha: Well :: eating a lemon energy bar :: We did what we could.
Scott Coleridge: I didn't realize our nuclear lunacy started before the Third World War.
CdrBrown: Second World War. It’s what helped usher in an end to the conflict.
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> Man..are we giving up on seeing the plants?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Goes to Mimi's office ::
Alexis McFarland: ::eating a granola bar:: Yeah, I think so. I don't really know how to get past the shields.
Amanda Davis PhD: Hello, Nijil, :::she waves, meeting him at the door::
mimipavilion: ::sees Nijil approach:: Please take a seat
Amanda Davis PhD: ::sits aside to listen:::
Alexis McFarland: ::looks at Miana's tools:: What are those?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Sits ::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> I hate shields!
mimipavilion: You said you were having issues readjusting
CdrBrown: A few starships might just be an inefficient amount of power to transfer. An industrialized moon, Utopia Planitia, Earth herself..... the gas can easily encompass objects of their size, and they would be able to drain/transfer magnitudes of more power than three ships can generate.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Opens up the pouch to show engineering tools.:: Always try to be prepared.
Chirakis: :::everything is strangely quiet in CnC, which makes her wonder:::
Alexis McFarland: Wow, I didn't know ya had those.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Oh I think her memories are with me.
Scott Coleridge: If this mist is a weapon, and it can be deployed against an entire planet, that would be... troubling.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Nods.:: We keep a set in our suite.
Nijil tr'Korjata: I am talking in Yith without thinking. I've called Robinson "Kitten" more than once. A term of endearment.
Alexis McFarland: Ooh
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> Will these get rid of the shield?
Tarisa: Miana> I think so.
mimipavilion: ::concerned, then looks at Amanda::
Nijil tr'Korjata: I see fragments of her life.. Prani's.
Alexis McFarland: If you know how to use 'em.
Amanda Davis PhD: :::listening:::
CdrBrown: I think we need to look at it as just that. A weapon.... and who knows what their plan is with it. Try a space station next?
Nijil tr'Korjata: I'm me. :: smiles :: As she described the process. It's not an exact copy like you'd do with an isolinear rod.
Scott Coleridge: Then it is even more paramount that we figure out how this mist works and develop countermeasures.
Chirakis: :::will speak with the commander when she has a chance, but now is not the time::::
Alexis McFarland: ::drinking her juice box, and resting her feet::
Sierra Robinson: :: arrives in Engineering asks for a briefing from the duty officer::
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> Can't we just see though the shield to look at the plant?
mimipavilion: ::nods:: That's interesting.
CdrBrown: ::Scott:: we are going to need help to figure this out. I see 3 ships out there and plenty of resources...
Alexis McFarland: I hope we can. I mean, it's not like I was planning to go up there and touch it or anything.
Amanda Davis PhD: ::thinking::: Nijil, can you explain a bit more so we understand?
Scott Coleridge: Good point. I'll talk to Dr. Pavilion about when the crews will clear quarantine. That being said, Starfleet will likely want to retask those ships as soon as possible. We can't have 3 ships and crews sitting around right now.
Sierra Robinson: + Commander Coleridge + Engineering to Commander Coleridge.
Scott Coleridge: +Robinson+ Yes, Lieutenant?
Nijil tr'Korjata: Ia, e masani ona ou miti ... faatali ..
CdrBrown: ::nods::
mimipavilion: ::looks at Nijil::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Sorry, still teaching the computer Yith.
Sierra Robinson: + Coleridge + Sir, I was wondering if another visit to the Mystery Oberth ships was being requested.
Alexis McFarland: Meg> It's all good for me either way.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Gets up and stretches after having her snack.::
Alexis McFarland: ::Puts away her snacks and garbage back in her bag::
Nijil tr'Korjata: I get daydreams. If I have an experience like Prani's in my past I get a bit of mine and a bit of hers.
Amanda Davis PhD: What if you speak in another language, Nijil? Try that.
Scott Coleridge: +Robinson+ I'm not aware, but we could do another inspection. Do you have any specific theories you’re trying to test?
Sierra Robinson: Chubbs> :: finishes snack 1 of 4 for the day ::
Nijil tr'Korjata: I know four languages, which one?
Amanda Davis PhD: Pick one. See if it works.
Alexis McFarland: That was nice at least.
Amanda Davis PhD: I know you know many languages.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Ou te le mautinoa o faia ai se eseesega i mea ou te manatuaina.
Amanda Davis PhD: And that means?
Nijil tr'Korjata: I guess memories would be linked to language.
Nijil tr'Korjata: What? Oh.. it was I'm not sure it makes a difference on what I remember.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Starts slowly walking down the corridor.::
CdrBrown: ::heads over to the replicator to get a strong cup of coffee:: Computer, coffee, black, very strong. ::quietly to himself: this is going to be a long day.
Alexis McFarland: ::follows Miana::
Sierra Robinson: + Coleridge + The Navigational Deflector Assemblies of the vessels sir....a wild guess.
Chirakis: :::Brown::: The same for me, Commander.
CdrBrown: Computer, a second cup. repeat settings
CdrBrown: ::grabs both mugs and heads to Chirakis::
CdrBrown: ::hands Kirel her mug, handle facing her::
Scott Coleridge: +Robinson+ Sometimes a wild guess is what we need. Let me take care of some things on my end. I would like to accompany you, likely tomorrow.
Sierra Robinson: + Coleridge + In any case...we got to find something...to help us...and there has to be a clue on those vessels.
Chirakis: ::receives it and nods::: Thank you, Commander.
Sierra Robinson: + Coleridge + Understood sir. I will see you then. Robinson out.
CdrBrown: ::nods:: most welcome. Never a dull moment on here.
mimipavilion: Well your situation is more Amanda’s field than it is mine.
Nijil tr'Korjata: So do I try to purge the memories or live with them>?
mimipavilion: I'm not sure

Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=
Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=

Chirakis: Thank you
CdrBrown: ::does the paws thing::
Chirakis: Very well done, as usual.
Chirakis: Once more... TBS will be ZERO (0)
Chirakis: We have many things going on here, so think wisely.
Chirakis: Any thoughts from you, Commander Coleridge?
Scott Coleridge: Same as you. Lots of moving parts right now, lots to tease out and explore before answers might appear.
Chirakis: Agreed.
Chirakis: Questions or comments from the crew?
Chirakis: Very well,
Chirakis: Crew dismissed. Be well. Be Safe. Don’t forget your towel.
