Sky Harbor Aegis | 17 April 2020

Chirakis: Attention to orders!
Chirakis: Commander Kital, front and center.
Jylliene: ::Steps forward::
Chirakis: ::nods, her hand out for a box that Commander Cayne is holding::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: Gives her the box ::
Chirakis: ::opens it and steps forward:::
Chirakis: Commander Kital, it is with great honor that we award you the Gold Medal for your participation on Aegis.
Chirakis: :::pins on the gold medal and extends her hand for a handshake::: Thank you, Commander.
Jylliene: Thank you ma'am

= /\ = Aegis Mission Brief 4/17/20 = /\ =
= /\ = 7 June 2388 - Stardate 2388.158 = /\ =
TBS is 20 hours. The time is 0800 hours (8:00 am) Aegis Local.
Commander Nijil tr’Korjata and Prani have switched brain thoughts.
Now they are trying to get back into their own brains.
Teams from engineering, science, medical, and security are assisting.
The science vessel USS Rodman has joined science vessel USS Chi Song in disappearing.

Sierra Robinson: :: in engineering ::
Jylliene: ::CnC::
Chirakis: ::sequestered in her office, doing Scott's work:::
mimipavilion: ::in medical neuro suite getting set up for the first simulation::
Amanda Davis PhD: :::medical complex, neuro suite, mulling over the transition from one brain to another:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Nijil walks to the doctor appointment as there were sure to be many questions ::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Turns the corner and sees the large medical complex, really the size of a small hospital... enters :: Doctor?
Sierra Robinson: :: taps console looking at the large 3D Holographic Display in the center of engineering. ::
Amanda Davis PhD: ::going over information on Nijil's brain function:::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: Looking over records of the Chi Song ::
Annisha: :: Heading to school ::
Amanda Davis PhD: ::turns to Mimi::: Now that I think about it, our side of the equation isn't going to be that difficult.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Nijil, sporting a clean uniform, goes to the front desk of sickbay :: I believe I have an appointment?
Sierra Robinson: :: hears some background talk about a new alien aboard and doesn't give it much thought ::
mimipavilion: ::nods::
Amanda Davis PhD: The biggest problem will have is the wormhole, and we don't have any control over that.
Amanda Davis PhD: So...
Tarisa: ::In her office, looking over data.::
Amanda Davis PhD: ::thinking::: The brain processes information that is received from the senses and the body. Sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch are picked up by the body, then the body sends those messages to the brain.
Jylliene: ::looking up the records from the broadcasts, reading the transcripts that were later made::
mimipavilion: ::finishes up the simulation, while listening to Amanda::
Amanda Davis PhD: :::thinking aloud:::
Amanda Davis PhD: Also, humans and humanoids think and experience emotions with the brain, which is the root of human intelligence.
Amanda Davis PhD: Certain areas of the brain are responsible for certain functions, just as certain personnel on Aegis are responsible for certain functions.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Takes a seat in sickbay :: I guess I'll wait.
mimipavilion: Hmmm...
Amanda Davis PhD: All we have to do is pin down those areas of Nijil's brain - the areas that Prani is using - and secure it for transfer through the wormhole.
mimipavilion: Agreed
Sierra Robinson: :: walks over to the duty officer and gives him his task PADD :: All set.
Dacia Sandero: ::working in the sickbay:::
Amanda Davis PhD: And..... :::pages through her PADD:: humans and humanoids can transfer information by using magnetic signals.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Gets up from the waiting room :: Uhm, hello. :: looks around ::
Sierra Robinson: :: heads for another after shift stroll to get herself familiar with things ::
Tarisa: Miana> ::Heading out after eating breakfast.::
mimipavilion: So we just need to recreate the specific magnetic signals that Prani was using.
Annisha: :: Arrives at school ::
Chirakis: :::steps out from her office to check a few things that have been thrown in Scott's direction:::
Alexis McFarland: ::finished breakfast as well, heads out to meet Miana::
Sierra Robinson: :: takes the lift ::
Dacia Sandero: ::listens to Mimi:: Goodluck with that.
Amanda Davis PhD: Yes... and we will need Prani for that.
Dacia Sandero: ::nods::
Amanda Davis PhD: ::Dacia::: Well, I believe we'll need a little more than luck.
Dacia Sandero: Yes, indeed. ::smile::
Alexis McFarland: Hey morning Miana. ::hugs Miana:: You ready to go?
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Prani was delighted sickbay was relatively quiet, but wondered if she was early for her appointment.
Amanda Davis PhD: We need a complete brain scan from Prani.
Tarisa: Miana> Morning. ::Nods as she purrs.::
mimipavilion: ::nods::
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Robinson+ Nijil here, I am at an appointment in sickbay, how is engineering?
Jylliene: ::trying to absorb the details that they had gleaned from the broadcasts, as well as from later research, and meld them with what Prani had told her::
Chirakis: ::walking toward Jyl as she reads::: Commander, a moment?
Dacia Sandero: All right. I can scan if you want. ::greets Nijil/Prani::
Jylliene: Of course, Captain.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Looks at Dacia :: You are....which doctor?
Amanda Davis PhD: Perfect.
Alexis McFarland: ::smiles and makes their way to school as well, holding Miana;s hand::
Sierra Robinson: :: In lift :: + Nijil + Hello Sir, everything is nominal....the duty officer has things under control. I was going to visit the park on my break. Is something wrong?
Dacia Sandero: I'm Dr Sandero. Nice to meet you again.
Chirakis: Have you found anything related to our problem so far?
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Robinson+ Wrong? No no, everything is fine here. Just checking in.
Jylliene: I wish I could say I had. Still searching, through.
Chirakis: :::sets a padd on Scott's desk:::
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: extends her hand :: As myself, more or less.
Sierra Robinson: + Nijil + Understandable....I will be back in 15. Robinson out.
Chirakis: :::stares into space, thinking:::
Jylliene: Attempting to find - well, something. Anything in all this that could help.
Jylliene: Either from the broadcasts themselves or the signals that carried them
Sierra Robinson: :: exits the lift and gets a look at the park for the first time : My gosh. Amazing.
Chirakis: ::head turns to face her::: The signals. Of course.
Nijil tr'Korjata: I must say Doctor Sandero, I thought sure I'd be placed in the brig or something, but the people here have been rather accommodating. Do strange things happen in this area of the galaxy often?
Chirakis: The origin and destination of the signals. Can you pin that down?
Dacia Sandero: I can't say that it does, but then again... Err, I can begin scanning you, if you'd like.
Alexis McFarland: ::makes her way to school, waves at Annisha::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Sure. :: goes to the biobed :: What plank resolution does your scanner go down to, if I may ask?
Tarisa: Miana> ::Also waves.::
Amanda Davis PhD: :::preparing the neurosurgical suite for whatever transpires::
Sierra Robinson: :: observes..the Cardassian Star System through the transparent aluminum of the Park...and notes a running track. That will come in handy. ::
Annisha: :: Waves, sporting another braid :: Yo
Jylliene: Trying - but as they also traveled through time, that's going to be an issue. I can attempt to pin down the exact locations when these broadcasts were sent.
Alexis McFarland: Oooh, pretty! Your dad again?
Jylliene: But there's no guarantee it's the same location. It's almost the opposite, given planetary motions.
Jylliene: But it would be a start.
Jylliene: ::gestures toward the console::
Dacia Sandero: Hmm, standard resolution as far as I know.
Chirakis: Please do, Commander.
Dacia Sandero: ::begins scanning::
Jylliene: ::nods::
Chirakis: And pass that information on to engineering and science.
Sierra Robinson: :: looking out through the Transparent aluminum, Sierra exhales and takes in the view, the vastness of space with several ships moving around. Where is the the Chi Song?..somewhere out there::
Jylliene: Of course, ma'am.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Oh... maybe I can improve that... would be larger than ours back home. I'll give it some thought tonight.
Nijil tr'Korjata: So, I heard you can read minds, specifically emotions?
Jylliene: ::back to it::
Annisha: Yeah, I think he's taking lessons in the holodeck.
Sierra Robinson: :: notes she will have to get some running gear for the track, and with one view of a ...Koi Pond? she heads back to the lift and Main Engineering ::
Cdr Wyatt Cayne: :: Reading over the ship's roster ::
Chirakis: My office door is open if anyone needs me... or whatever it is that our XO does.
Dacia Sandero: Sure, that'd be appreciated. Yes, as a Betazoid we can read both -- we're a telepathic and empathic species.
Jylliene: ::continues working::
Nijil tr'Korjata: I think Nijil could be, at least, telepathic. It's in his heritage, back before their split with the Vulcans.
Nijil tr'Korjata: I think from time to time he may even feel things.
Sierra Robinson: :: exits the lift and enters Main Engineering , she checks in with the Duty Officer and returns to her station close to the large 3D Holographic Display of the Ft Laramie Class Station ::
Dacia Sandero: Yes, that's true theoretically.
Annisha: What classes today?
Dacia Sandero: Hmm. Interesting.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Oh?
Alexis McFarland: Uhh, the standard stuff and I think gym. I forget what we're doing in gym though.
Amanda Davis PhD: ::secures the neurosurgery room, turns and wanders toward the lounge so she can study Nijil's brain function (the real one, that is):::
Alexis McFarland: And music too. ::checks her schedule on her PADD::
mimipavilion: ::goes back to her office for the time being::
Nijil tr'Korjata: Sorry that Muuhi is not here, she could explain a lot more than I.
Nijil tr'Korjata: I should not call her the.. I guess Doctor would be her title here.
Annisha: Music... ah.. I'll have to borrow an instrument
Dacia Sandero: I think you're doing a good job. ::finishes her scans:: There we go, finished with your scans.
Nijil tr'Korjata: Ah... I hope I..or we are fine.
Jylliene: ::pulls up older records of their analysis from the time, and compares it with the reanalysis she was running::
Sierra Robinson: :: does a quick look around, wondering if any Starship can have an Engineering core as large as this one ::
Alexis McFarland: You can replicate one, if you need to.
Nijil tr'Korjata: The transformation is painless and we are both put into a non-rem sleep.
Alexis McFarland: THat's what I'm gonna do. I forgot my harp at home.
Annisha: I want to see you drag that over to school...
Dacia Sandero: That is reassuring.
Amanda Davis PhD: ::thinking aloud::: Music goes directly to the limbic system. I wonder....
Alexis McFarland: It's not too large or anything. Sure, I can do that.
Chirakis: 10:45 PM
Amanda Davis PhD: ::looks up:: Music..
Amanda Davis PhD: +com+ Jylliene, are you available or are you busy?
Nijil tr'Korjata: Well, the first time stung a bit, but the memory was wiped, so no harm.
Dacia Sandero: ::nods::
Jylliene: +Davis+ Running some analyses on the old broadcasts at the moment.
Jylliene: +Davis+What can I do for you?
Tarisa: Miana> ::Starts humming.::
Amanda Davis PhD: +Jyl+ Oh.. perfect. Music goes directly to the limbic system of all humanoids. Are you able to pin down the music that we heard on the old broadcast?
Jylliene: +Davis+ Pin down in what way?
Nijil tr'Korjata: Is there anything else I can help with in sickbay? I should go back to work, though I really don't work here. :: smiles ::
Sierra Robinson: :: taps her console , which at the moment is monitoring the EPS grid ::
Amanda Davis PhD: +Jyl+ Oh... something that would point to a certain location in space.... or... maybe something that would point something in one direction.
Jylliene: +Davis+ That's what I'm currently working on. ::grins::
Amanda Davis PhD: +Jul+ Perfect! Can you send what you have to me, please?
Jylliene: +Davis+ As soon as the diagnosis finishes running, I'll pass it along.
Amanda Davis PhD: +Jyl+ Thank you!
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: waves goodbye to the sickbay staff, exits ::
Alexis McFarland: Going with vocals eh Miana? ::smiles;:
Jylliene: +Davis+ Of course. Ops out.
Tarisa: Miana> ::Nods.:: Mmmhmm
Amanda Davis PhD: :::tosses her coffee and moves to Mimi's office::: Mimi, are you busy?
Amanda Davis PhD: ::pokes her head around the corner:::
Alexis McFarland: Nice! That's the easiest.
mimipavilion: ::hears Amanda and looks up:: Just trying to catch up on some of the paperwork on my desk.
Chirakis: 10:55 PM
Amanda Davis PhD: Well... consider this one, please.
Amanda Davis PhD: Music plays a large role in pinpointing areas of the brain. It also pinpoints areas in space.
Sierra Robinson: Duty Officer> Learning Ensign?
Alexis McFarland: ::waves::
mimipavilion: ::takes the PADD from Amanda:: Ok.
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Robinson+ I'm out. Touring the station.
Dacia Sandero: ::Waves:: We'll let you know if we need anything else
Sierra Robinson: :: Sierra Looks up from her console :: Yes Locations and such. Thanks for assigning me a Work Station next to the Holographic Diagram. it is helpful.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Nods to Sandero ::
Sierra Robinson: ::Duty Officer quiets upon page::
Amanda Davis PhD: So... Jylliene is looking for information on that music we heard a while ago. If we can pinpoint that area, it will help us, if only a little.
Sierra Robinson: + Nijil + Uhm...Robinson here..Monitoring the EPS grid per duty officer instructions sir.
Chirakis: 10:57 PM
mimipavilion: ::looks it over:: Sounds like a plan.
Nijil tr'Korjata: +Robinson+ I am sure it's doing just fine. I think it would be good to look over the entire station's systems. Look for how systems are integrated, the failsafes, the redundancies.
Amanda Davis PhD: As soon as Dacia is finished with Prani, we might be able to figure a few more things out.
Chirakis: (Prepare to pause)
Jylliene: ::gets a location from the new analysis and compares to the prior, confirming a match, then sends it onward to science, engineering, and medical::
mimipavilion: ::nods:: Agreed
Sierra Robinson: + Nijil + Yes Sir...looking around is a good idea..sounds like a plan!
Amanda Davis PhD: ::looks at her PADD:: And it seems that she has already pinned down something.
Nijil tr'Korjata: :: Not looking forward to recreating the equations for this generator from memory ::
Alexis McFarland: ::starts jotting down notes::
Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=
Chirakis: =/\==/\=PAUSE SIM=/\==/\=
Chirakis: Thank you
Chirakis: Excellent work, all.
Chirakis: TBS is zero. We'll pick up from here.
Chirakis: First, congratulations to Commander Kital for her Gold Medal tonight.
Sierra Robinson: Congrats!
Chirakis: Secondly, those of you who wrote logs, many thanks.
Chirakis: And now, questions or comments from the crew?
Sierra Robinson: I had a question! How Classified is the Wormhole project?
Chirakis: Very
Sierra Robinson: So most of the crew might not know about it?
Chirakis: Correct. You gather your information and pass it on to your team leader. No discussion when others are around.
Sierra Robinson: Okay no more scuttlebutt gotcha
Chirakis: Right.
Chirakis: Anything else?
Chirakis: Crew dismissed. Be well. Be Safe. Don’t forget your towel.
