USS Excalibur Sim Log - 05.05.19

MISSION BRIEF: The Excalibur is making some repairs with assistance from the USS Lysander, as well as working on calculations to hopefully return us to the correct time period.

William Chocox: ::is working in Engineering::

Hunter Matheson: ::sorting gear to repair the helm console and other things in the area that were damaged:::

Irene Mincine: :: Irene is restrained in her biobed, but at least she's not violent anymore! She comes to. :: "The hell is this?" :: She struggles but makes no progress toward getting out. ::

Rhan K'hal: ::swings back into sickbay to present the (hopefully) final round of nanite programming so Irene doesn't split various parts of her anatomy into separate times when they attempt to go Back to the Future::

Indaura Ryssan: :: Placing her plant and soil samples for catalogization ::

Hakran K'hal: :: down in the physical science section, remotely working with the Lysander on the calculations with the rest of the spacetime scientists ::

Hunter Matheson: ::digging into the boxes, looking for compatible equipment and having a hard time::

Indaura Ryssan: :: Truth be told, the idea of somehow going in time again and not getting smooshed in the process scared her ::

Maryse Dubois: ::Checks in on Irene.:: How are you feeling?

Hunter Matheson: ::stops to think:::

Irene Mincine: :: Irene looks like a cross between disoriented and hungover. :: "How much did I drink last night? Whose holding cell is this? Starfleet? Earth? The Ferengi embassy?"

Hunter Matheson: ::kneels by the console, flips open the panel and checks the data crystals:::

Maryse Dubois: I hope that's a joke, and not you being time displaced again.

Indaura Ryssan: :: Hears Dr. Dubois speak ::

Hakran K'hal: :: holding his head in his paws as the calculations have to go back eight steps again due to the latest round of additional mass brought aboard ::

William Chocox: These engines are a right mess. The next time I'm at a spacedock I'm going to have a word with those guys.

Rhan K'hal: :: stops outside the door to Irene's room (for a change) :: I come bearing gifts of code. Is everyone decent?

Hunter Matheson: ::only three compromised, which is pretty good considering the flip and flop it took to get where we are now:::

Irene Mincine: :: Irene looked confused. :: "What? I had a hell of an 18th birthday party, I think. I don't remember aaaaanything. Is that what you mean?"

Maryse Dubois: Sure... ::Smiles as Rhan enters.::

Cptn Swain: ::In the ready room working with Sati::

Rhan K'hal: :: steps in :: Sounds like the sooner we get this over with, the better.

Hunter Matheson: ::scoots out, strolling toward the helm equipment locker, jerks it open and reaches in, only to scrape his arm along the damaged locker door::: Damn....

Indaura Ryssan: :: nods for some reason then goes back to her work ::

Hunter Matheson: ::grabs the chips and the med kit, kicks the door closed, data crystals on the console, opens the med kit and starts working:::

Irene Mincine: "I am never drinking again." :: she said probably for the thousandth time. :: "We were supposed to just go out to the Klingon bar... and then I was gonna get a tat... and then... ugh..." :: Irene looked sick. ::

Rhan K'hal: :: takes his usual seat and loads up the programming on the console ::

Hunter Matheson: ::wrap wrap wrap after antibiotic, replaces the chips, secures the console, and there's a drip...drip...drip on the floor:::

Maryse Dubois: ::Preps the hypo.:: Last one.

Hunter Matheson: ::tightens the gauze, slaps on another pad, and finally uses the tourniquet::

Rhan K'hal: Crossable digits crossed.

Hunter Matheson: ::mutters a lot of words no one should hear:::

Hunter Matheson: (TL in working order?)

Irene Mincine: "Hangover cure?"

William Chocox: ::replaces his current panel and goes to the next one in line::

Maryse Dubois: Yes...A hangover cure. ::gives her the hypo.::

Rhan K'hal: Yep, it'll be like turning the clock forward and it'll be a distant memory.

Indaura Ryssan: :: Shakes her head thinking about that Irene is going through ::

Hunter Matheson: :::steps into the lift:: Med bay.

Rhan K'hal: :: manages to be a smartass and correct at the same time ::

Hunter Matheson: ::exits on the medical level and walks in, wondering if he has to take a number:::

Irene Mincine: "Shoot me up, docs! I feel like I'm gonna hork all over the place, so make it quick."

Cptn Swain: ::to Sati:: The numbers still don't work.

Maryse Dubois: ::Stands back to let the nanites do their magic.::

Rhan K'hal: :: checks the "line of fire" between Irene's position and his console :: Didn't realize I was going to need a tarp. And they're off!

Hunter Matheson: ::looking around for a doc or nurse, or at least a corpsman::

Cptn Swain: Sati> ::rubs the bridge of her nose:: We could find another star to use for the slngshot.

Hunter Matheson: ::rings the little bell that's near the entrance:::

Hakran K'hal: Semek> :: arrives in a somewhat timely manner and takes up a position at the time bubble controller ::

Irene Mincine: :: Irene closes her eyes. Looks like this one's going smoother than the others, at least. :: "Oh, man..." :: She's pretty tightly restrained, so at least this time she can't jump up and punch everyone?

Hunter Matheson: ::bur everyone's busy:::

Hakran K'hal: Semek> Apologies for my tardiness, I got caught behind another lift.

Rhan K'hal: Hopefully we won't need you except to hit the "OFF" button, ensign.

Indaura Ryssan: :: Goes over to Doctor Dubois :: How is Mincine?

Hunter Matheson: ::date, time, on the tourniquet, just in case:::

Maryse Dubois: Hopefully this is her last treatment.

Rhan K'hal: :: starts getting first round telemetry from the nanite supervisors :: So far, so good. She might start to experience a little strange blood chemistry in a moment. You might want to have one of the all-in-ones ready, Maryse.

Irene Mincine: :: Irene's skin takes on a grayish tone as the blood chemistry begins to change. Are those veins turning... green? :: "Maryse! Rhan!" :: Looks like she's back to the right time, at least. ::

Maryse Dubois: ::Takes hypo out of her pocket.:: All set.

Rhan K'hal: :: frowns both at Irene's physical appearance and the bevy of alarms going off on his console :: That wasn't in the game plan.

Rhan K'hal: :: attempts to adjust on the fly, but has quite a bit of lag with the computer system being what it is ::

Hakran K'hal: Semek> Experiencing fluctuations in her temporal alignment. I cannot compensate with the time bubble however, as the fluctuations are at different levels in different parts of her body.

Hunter Matheson: ::waiting in the med entrance:::

Irene Mincine: "Do something before I turn inside-out!" :: Irene looked in rough shape. ::

Cptn Swain: Not really an option. The longer we're around this time period the more risk of contamination.

Hakran K'hal: Semek> More likely parts of your body will begin to disappear as they...

Rhan K'hal: Not the best time for honesty, Mr. Semek.

Hunter Matheson: ::tries another way: Alors, peut-être je devrait demander à quelqu'un ...:::

Rhan K'hal: :: the nanites begin a reversion of changes up until the instabilities occurred ::

Hunter Matheson: ::stands up to wander toward the docs:::

Maryse Dubois: ::Gives Irene the hypo to help stabilize her.:: What was that?

Irene Mincine: "What? Rhan!" :: She gradually went from gray back to her normal naturally copper-ish skin. ::

Hakran K'hal: Semek> Temporal alignment instabilities decreasing.

Rhan K'hal: DNA stabilizing. It appears your sleeper DNA has a fail-safe hostile takeover defense mechanism.

Indaura Ryssan: :: Making sure she is recording all of this ::

Irene Mincine: "I'm going to kill whoever did this to me!" :: Irene struggled in her restraints. :: "Let me out of these things, it's me and I'm back at my normal time!"

Rhan K'hal: :: Maryse :: Is it me or is this well beyond the kind of genetic engineering we're used to seeing among the major powers? When even these nanites are coming up in second place.

Hunter Matheson: ::figures he can get a corpsman in MARDET and leaves:::

Hakran K'hal: Semek> That does indeed sound like the current Ms. Mincine.

Indaura Ryssan: Matheson? Something I can help you with?

Hunter Matheson: ::turns:: Oh. Hi doc. Yeah, I cut my arm pretty deep when I reached into the helm locker.

Maryse Dubois: :;Nods.:: We're not dealing with someone typical here.

Indaura Ryssan: How on Denobula? :: sit over here ::

Hunter Matheson: Got a tourniquet on it about 30 minutes ago. ::points to the info on the tourn.cuf:::

Rhan K'hal: That's what I was afraid of.

Rhan K'hal: :: sighs ::

Rhan K'hal: Mr. Semek. How is her time stability? Can we let her out of this bubble yet?

Hunter Matheson: You're busy, so I thought I'd go to MARDET for a corpsman. They're pretty good at this kind of thing.

Irene Mincine: "I'm very typical." :: Hmph. Her stability was much better than before, though. ::

Indaura Ryssan: And leaving scars. :: scans the wound ::

William Chocox: ::whistles tunelessly as he works::

Maryse Dubois: With all of my knowledge, I don't think we're dealing with someone from the Alpha or Beta quadrants...at least not in our timeline...

Hakran K'hal: Semek> :: reviews the data :: Her temporal stability is well within the parameters Dr. Dubois set up early on in the process. It is my professional opinion the time bubble can be deactivates so long as no more treatments are in progress.

Cptn Swain: ((TWO MINUTE WARNING ))

Indaura Ryssan: Tell you what, how about I escort you down there?

Hunter Matheson: Uh.. sure.

Hunter Matheson: You think I need it? I mean... it doesn't seem to be that bad.

Irene Mincine: "Thank Kahless!" :: She was more interested in getting out than anything else. :: "Nobody from the Delta quadrant hates us enough to do... whatever it is they did to me."

Rhan K'hal: :: nods at Semek, then looks at Maryse :: It's your call. I'm sure you'd be happy for some peace and quiet, and I'm sure my brother would be happy to have her back in the saddle.

Maryse Dubois: ::Looks to Rhan.:: I can agree to that.

Maryse Dubois: ::Undoes the restraints.::

Indaura Ryssan: I wish to take a break from sickbay. :: Sprays something on the wound to stabilize it. ::

Rhan K'hal: Hit the big red button, Mr. Semek.

Hunter Matheson: Yes, ma'

Hunter Matheson: Ma'am

Hakran K'hal: Semek> The off button is cyan, Lieutenant. And its size does...

Rhan K'hal: Oh good grief, how fresh from Vulcan are you. Just turn the damn thing off.

Hakran K'hal: Semek> :: blink :: Yes, sir. :: turns off the time bubble ::

Hunter Matheson: ::following the doc toward the lift:::

Cptn Swain: ...and...

Rhan K'hal: They can take your DNA, but they cannae take your freedom.

Irene Mincine: :: With the restraints removed, she sits up on the biobed. :: "I'm free!" :: She hops out of the bed and promptly collapses to her knees. ::
