A Time Out From Klingons

Ne'Arrain R'Tor t'Batok's Personal log

 

The doors to her quarters barely had time to fully open before R'Tor strolled in. "Etrehh lights," she called out.  Blinking a few times to adjust to the light contrast, she moved over to her table.  Setting down her multicorder and eng kit on the table as she sat down in the chair that she was standing by.  Making sure the multicorder was turned off, she set it aside then slide the eng kit in front of her as she brought her hand back towards her.  As she opened it her eyes came to rest on the modified device that she had picked up on the surface after they had been discharged.  One end piece was gone and the other was only attached by a piece about half an inch wide.  A small smile touched her lips as the device was being observed, after all the modifications worked, she didn't blow up the armory, and the mission to rid the klingons worked.

 

Standing up she removed her uniform jacket as she moved around to behind the chair.  Placing the jacket on the back of the chair so the chair back was inside the shoulders, she studied the modified device still in the eng kit.  Reaching over the chair she closed the eng kit, deciding to leave the post use evaluation of the modification, which she felt would add to her report on the modifications, for later.

 

Straightening up she looked around her quarters before spotting the ISD pile with the manuals and data of the different power flow and system integrity systems.  Deciding to get some reading done before getting some sleep she started in the direction of the ISDs.  Her stomach decided that moment to rumble reminding her she hadn't had dinner yet, so she change her course making a detour to the replicator.  Getting a sandwich from the replicator she proceeded to the ISD's and took the top two.  Returning to the table she set the ISDs and the plate with the sandwich on the table, while sitting in the chair.  Turning on the top ISD she continued on reading from where she left off while eating her sandwich.

 

Finishing the chapter that she was on when she finished the sandwich, she got up and moved to put the ISDs away stopping by the replicator to recycle the plate.  Moving over to her bed she decided to get some sleep before they head back to dealing with the klingons.  "Etrehh set alarm for 5 hours from now."  Sitting on the side of the bed she took her boots off then she swung her legs up onto the bed and settled down trying to get comfy for a nap before she would be up and hustling around engineering again.
