reassigned after 20 years on the USS Manticore. Now the crew must
forge on into the "Undiscovered Country"... Aka Starbase 214.

McFly: I forgot to mention to meet at 8:30 before the sim.

McFly: Think anyone will show up or have they already regretted their decision to continue?  \

McFly: no worries, not much to go over anyway
Erich Jaenke: If there was an earlier time to meet I did not see it

McFly: I burnt the top of my mouth with chili tonight. Now I can't stop licking it.
Kansas Kenickie: ice cream will help
McFly: Ooh, that would help. Just wish I had some
McFly: I have hot chocolate. Would that work?

Vilanne: I heard ice cream and came running... hot chocolate too

Vilanne: and 3 minutes to spare! (Since I seem to have started a pattern this last year of being late)
McFly: I'll give Bren another minute before we start
McFly: So I just wanted to take a quick second before we begin. As it's painfully obvious we only have 6 people in our sim now. And I don't see anyone joining in the near future. With that in mind, I wanted to encourage the creation of more permanent NPC's. We're going to need at least two of them for senior staff not to mention the ship itself feeling a little empty. This could be a great way for everyone to branch out in other areas as well, especially during those plots that are focused towards one department. It also gives us a chance to play around if we're starting to get bored with our character perhaps because of said plot line not being in our chosen field. Of course no one is required to do any of this. If you're happy playing the way you are then leave it that way. This is just a suggestion to help make the ship feel more alive.

Vilanne: ::having finished transferring all of the staff that left's medical files back to the FLeet, her work is done, inventory is being taken by Nurse Nancy, and Vil is kinda enjoying not being alone in sickbay since she claimed a seat on the bridge to babysit KK, even though she's not being babysat anymore::

Keb: ::looks over at Erich:: You know, we'll probably have a bit of time to explore the base while we're there. I bet they have some new holonovels.

Vilanne: ::taps on the empty station, logging into Sickbay, pulls up another memo, and writes to Starfleet... her mouth moving as she types the words, since she doesn't want to do the verbal commands and disrupt the bridge activitiy::

Keb: No--that's not it, Erich. There's something wrong with how Manticore's flying.
Keb: I'm adjusting for it, but we're not flying true.

McFly: Look, I know this a huge change. It's changing for everyone. But I could really use you next to me.

McFly: We both have been on this ship for a very long time and we've both killed a ton of people. Enough that should keep us awake at night. But here I am, Captain of a starship. You're Chief security. Very high positions that neither of us would otherwise hold if we weren't in Special Ops. ::raises eyebrow hoping the SpecOps card can convince her::
McFly: I don't know what I have to do to convince you.
McFly: I'd hate to have to ask OpsGuy.
Keb: ::shakes head:: I think it's something off in the sensor array, or maybe even at the nav level.

Keb: I dunno...it was kind of neat to see how a ship might think if it were alive. Sometimes when you're sitting in the engine room, with all the life of the ship throbbing around you, doesn't it feel like that anyway?

McFly: Whatever NPC you come up with just let me know species, position and if they're an odd species how they are in starfleet.
