Orders, anyone?

Devistation. That's what Arcadia's Counselor predicted on this away mission. Devistation and imminent doom.

Andrea could tell that Commander Dacotah did not agree with her. In fact, Dac was becomming a bit perturbed after Andrea's conveyance of uneasyness. But, the new Ensign couldn't help it.

Andrea considered the First Officer in a moment of distraction during the meeting and bit her lip. It was her job to see to the mental health's of the Arcadia's crew. If chasing ofter this probes debris did not threaten to cause them physical harm, it might atleast cause emotional damage to the Arcadia's crew and, especially, the natives of Arcady.

Ensign Knlwtchr remembered certain details of the briefing. Considering the matriarchal society they were about to penetrate, Andrea just knew that something would go wrong. The women they were about to encounter would be egotistical, demanding, impatient, and down right demeaning, especially to their male counterparts.

Added to this the fact that the Arcady could very possibly know more about Starfleet now that they had pieces of the probe. If anyone of the crew were to be found out or connected in anyway to the probe, they would be sure to find certain death.

Andrea balled her fists in frustration. She found herself suddenly angry with Starfleet, allowing one of their probes to contaminate Arcady. Shouldn't they have known better? Aren't they the finest in all Creation in exploration, safety, and the Prime Directive? Shouldn't there have been better precautions taken to assure that this never happened?

The questions in Andrea's head continued to stir, even long after Dac had asked for input. The Counselor had kept quiet, mostly because she knew that Dac and Moose were only following orders given to them by Starfleet. Arguing would only flare tempers and muddle an already touchy situation.

Ensign Knlwtchr was relieved to finally be able to leave the room. When she reached her quarters, she stood before the mirror and considered herself and her mental status at the moment. She remembered her training at Starfleet and her long talks with her father. Slowly, the uneasy feeling released its grip on her emotions and she stood before her image releasing a long sigh.

After another moment, Andrea decided she would just have to stick it out. This was only her second mission and, if she knew Starfleet, it was only bound to get worse. Like her fellow crewmates, she would just have to follow orders.
