USS Excalibur Sim Log - 05.20.18

Cptn Swain: MISSION BRIEF: The Excalibur crew has found a small holoemitter from Captain Swain left behind in the temple vault pointing the way to the final destination, which he indicated he had not informed his captors of the final location and that they would need to go to the sixth coordinate first. The group is returning to the yacht to head back to the Lugh.

Hunter Matheson: ::making his way with the others toward the yacht::

Cptn Swain: Arden> ::Putting his breather back on as they head into the damp air of the surface::

Hunter Matheson: ::or that::

William Chocox: ::puts his rebreather on as he walks back to the yacht::

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Irene's following everyone, wearing her rebreather, making sure there are no more surprises on the way back with her biological tricorder. ::

Maryse Dubois: ::Heading back.:: Can't say I'll miss this planet.

Hunter Matheson: Same here. ::doc::

William Chocox: I don’t think any of us will.

Ens. Irene Mincine: "I don't know, I thought it was interesting. From a scientific perspective, anyway. From the perspective of a visitor, it was a dump."

Maryse Dubois: ::Smirks.::

Hunter Matheson: ::sideglance at the labcoat:::

Cptn Swain: Arden> At least the yacht is still here.

Hunter Matheson: ::then he thinks of how much he loves his helm and he figures that the coat feels the same about her work::

Hunter Matheson: ::Arden:: Always good, sir.

Cptn Swain: Arden> ::Nods::

Maryse Dubois: Yeah, because I think I would rather stay on this planet than trust that flying mothball's transporters.

William Chocox: Who would’ve taken the yacht?

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Thinking... :: "As long as there's no biological contamination... or corrosion from the rain... I'm sure we're fine."

Hunter Matheson: ::flashback to the goo:::

William Chocox: Do you want to jinx us?

Cptn Swain: Arden> One time, Asher and I got a shuttle towed on Gharas IV.

Ens. Irene Mincine: "I'm just evaluating all possibilities, sir." :: Looks up from her tricorder. :: "...towed?"

William Chocox: How do they tow a shuttle?

Cptn Swain: Arden> A tractor beam as it turns out.

William Chocox: Well then.

Maryse Dubois: ::Grins as she arrives at the yacht.::

Hunter Matheson: ::wants the rest of the story, but is afraid to ask::

William Chocox: ::steps in::

Hunter Matheson: ::enters and moves forward to power up:::

Hunter Matheson: ::and preflight check::

Maryse Dubois: ::Finds the comfy chair she has claimed for herself.::

William Chocox: ::sits down::

Ens. Irene Mincine: "...well then..." :: Hops into the shuttle, tossing her scanning equipment bag on the floor. :: "I'm sure they'll find my report on this planet's biosphere fascinating, but I'm ready to get out of here."

Hunter Matheson: ::and only then does he look around at the mess he's making after sloshing over whatever::

Indaura Ryssan: :: with the group :

Hunter Matheson: ::but... checks progress with preflight... he's in good company where that's concerned::

Indaura Ryssan: Reminds me of caves on Denobula, that I don't like.

Cptn Swain: Arden> ::Sits down in the co-pilot seat::

Hunter Matheson: :::NIP:: Anyone realize that this shuttle has an "I need a good cleaning" alert?

Hunter Matheson: ::flips off that switch, taking note, then looks to Arden:: Ready when you give the word, sir.

Cptn Swain: Arden> Lets go.

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Straps into a bench seat in the back. :: "It wasn't that bad..."

William Chocox: Well, the Captain should’ve thought about that before running off.

Hunter Matheson: Everyone strapped in? ::waiting for word:::

William Chocox: Yes

Hunter Matheson: Powering up. If you'd not secure, it's gonna be a hell of a ride.

Ens. Irene Mincine: "Ready to get back to a ship with... semi-working sonic showers, sir."

Hunter Matheson: ::half grin:: Liftoff in five....

Hunter Matheson: ::making sure the hatch is sealed:::

Hunter Matheson: Moving out.

Hunter Matheson: ::Arden:: Contact Luge please sir, whenever we're out of this atmosphere and within range.

Cptn Swain: :Nods, and leans back into the seat:: Transferring additional power to the structural integrity fields.

Cptn Swain: Arden> Will do.

Maryse Dubois: ::Smirks at Irene.:: There is one right behind you in the corner. Better make use of it, cause you won't find one on the Lugh.

Hunter Matheson: Transfer complete. ::continues slow, measured progress at 90::

Hunter Matheson: ::checks the vector they used for entry::

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Sighs, looking in the corner.... :: "I think I'll wait until we've settled down. I don't want to go flying around the back of the ship with no uniform on."

Hunter Matheson: The way is clear. Entering stratosphere. Hang on.

Maryse Dubois: You're probably right. But...that would be quite the spectacle. ::grins.::

Hunter Matheson: +Luge+ On approach at your six. How copy?

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Blushes, hanging onto the bench. :: "Not one that's appropriate for this situation, though."

Maryse Dubois: ::Laughs as she lays back in her chair.::

Cptn Swain: Luge> +Llameri+ You are cleared for landing.

Hunter Matheson: +Luge+ Copy that. Landing in 30s

Cptn Swain: ACTION> Irene briefly sees a distortion in the corner of the yacht, but it quickly dissipates.

Hunter Matheson: Okay, folks. Remember to step over the garbage when you exit. ::takes her in to a smooth landing:::

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Blinks, clearing her eyes. :: "Did you see something over there? I don't know if it was us being shaken around or..." :: She pulls out her tricorder and points it over at the corner with the shower. ::

Hunter Matheson: :::sets down::: +Luge+ We're in. Good to go.

Hunter Matheson: ::hears Irene, but focuses on power down::

Maryse Dubois: ::Shakes her head.:: I haven't seen anything.

Hunter Matheson: ::pops the hatch:: We're in. All ashore going ashore.

William Chocox: What are you talking about Irene?

Ens. Irene Mincine: "There was something, I swear... and no, I don't just want the shower to myself." :: Irene hops up from the bench and approaches the corner. :: "Do we have internal sensors that work, at least?"

William Chocox: I think so.

Hunter Matheson: ::turns in his seat:: Got 'em in the yacht. I can power up.

Cptn Swain: Arden> ::Turns::

Hunter Matheson: ::swivels to power up sensor system:::

Hunter Matheson: She's all yours. ::Irene::

Maryse Dubois: ::Gets up, grabbing her own tricorder. Starts scanning.::

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Nods... :: "OK. Focus the scanners back here, please. Look for any unusual energy signatures, contaminants, life signs... anything that could have come with us from the planet."

Hunter Matheson: ::his head spins with the sight he saw - or thought he saw – on planet:::

Hunter Matheson: ::staying in his seat, not wanting to interfere::

Maryse Dubois: ::Scanning towards the rear of the yacht.::

Cptn Swain: ACTION> The focused scanners reveals two feline creatures with long pointed ears svelte body and a very unusual tail that branches out into several other tails.  They look as surprised as anyone at their reveal.

Hunter Matheson: ::hands drop and he stands::: What the....?

Cptn Swain: Arden> ::Blinks::

Hunter Matheson: So I'm not insane...

Maryse Dubois: Oh...hello...

William Chocox: Well then.

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: She jumps back when the scanners reveal the creatures. :: "What the hell?"

Hunter Matheson: ::NIP::: Not Cait, right?

Hunter Matheson: ::looking around:::

Maryse Dubois: No, not Cait. ::Takes a couple more scans, but keeping her distance for the time being.::

Ens. Irene Mincine: :: Pointing her biological scanner at the creatures, Irene looks back at the front of the yacht... :: "Sir...?"

Cptn Swain: ACTION> Scans show it to be something vaguely similar to a Terran cat, but it is much larger and seemingly possess the ability to render itself invisible. The two feline creatures continue to stare inquisitively at the crew as the TO BE CONTINUED flashes on screen.
