USS Challenger April 27, 2018

Cptn Ja'Lale: Mission Brief - 27 Apr 2018: The Klongat and its fleet was converging to the location of the rogue Klingon base which where a Federation crew was held hostage. The fleet was engaging a barrage of fighters coming from the base. The fleet was about to advance towards the base's location.
Hunter Matheson: Got a question, Skipper
Hunter Matheson: Klongat is on rear guard, right?
Cptn Ja'Lale: Yes
Cptn Ja'Lale: Sorry.. phone call
Cptn Ja'Lale: TBS was zero. Any more questions?
Cptn Ja'Lale: BEGIN SIM
Cptn Ja'Lale: BEGIN SIM
Hunter Matheson: ::doing the helm thing::
Dvokr chim Hok: :: ar comms ::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ACTION: The fleet is breaking through the fighters' line of advance and heading towards the base.
Hunter Matheson: ::change course, following the lead::
Cptn Ja'Lale: Gronk>. Their numbers seem to be dwindling. Looks like they've exhausted their fighters, but an animal is most dangerous when cornered, so be cautious. I'd also like to start to form a boarding party once we've broken through their shields.
Dyan Sylvanis: ::On weapons.::
Dvokr chim Hok: :: Never likes these battles as the are a leading cause of death ::
Caitlin Townshend: ::oh great, a boarding party::
Hunter Matheson: ::focus on course, entering several evasives and an exit vector while he's at it:::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ACTION: There doesn't seem to be much more resistance as most of the fighter crafts from the base are now either destroyed or disabled.
Dvokr chim Hok: Boarding party?
John Randall: ::watches the Klingons in engineering with a wary eye, as he thinks the Klingons are enjoying the battle a bit too much for his liking; his hand stays near his phaser::
Dyan Sylvanis: ::Checking.:: Most of the fighters have been eliminated.
Cptn Ja'Lale: Not all of us would have to join it, just the security people I think.
Dvokr chim Hok: I could argue them to death
Cptn Ja'Lale: Scary
Hunter Matheson: ::snort at Hok's comment, but still focused::
Hunter Matheson: Sounds like a plan, Captain. They'd be so confused... ::headshake::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ::most of the boarding party will be Klingon, maybe some security people.. feel free to NPC a character or use your own::
Dyan Sylvanis: I'll volunteer for the boarding party when we arrive.
Hunter Matheson: Chief BadRad> ::cracks his knuckles, ready to roll::
Cptn Ja'Lale: Gronk> Very good
Caitlin Townshend: ::will stick on the bridge, where she is less likely to be … you know::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ACTION: With no more resistance from the fighters, the fleet makes easy work of the base's shields. Away teams should be congregating to the transporters.
Dyan Sylvanis: ::Stands.:: I'll take my leave then?
Cptn Ja'Lale: I'll go as well. Gronk>. Yes, good luck to you.
John Randall: ::Marek, grinning at something said to him by one of his shipmates, looks over to Randall, and instantly changes expression as he notices the posture and the demeanor of the Challenger's chief engineer, who has been in hand-to-hand combat with a Klingon before::
Dvokr chim Hok: Kronk> :: Gets on the transporter ::
Dyan Sylvanis: ::Walks out with the Captain.:: You realize we'll both be huge targets, even among the other Fleeters. We kind of stand out more. ::Him being a big turtle, and her attire.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: Yes, I agree. We'll need to keep out wits about us. Still, it's not often I get to go on missions like these.
Hunter Matheson: Chief BadRad> ::loaded for bear steps on the transporter::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ::exits the lift and checks his disruptor::
Dyan Sylvanis: ::Smirks.:: Happy hunting then. ::Checks her pistols and blade.::
Hunter Matheson: (wait... we get disruptors?)
Cptn Ja'Lale: (Klingon disruptors)
Dyan Sylvanis: ::Joins the others on the pad.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ::joins the team of about a dozen officers and warriors on the pad::
John Randall: Marek> ::strides toward John but stops a few feet away as he notices Randall's expression:: Lieutenant, is something wrong?
Caitlin Townshend: I've located an optimal beam-in point, sir.
Hunter Matheson: Chief BadRad> ::checking out the load at Syl's waist, wondering how good she is with it::
Cptn Ja'Lale: Gronk> Excellent, let's beam in there.
Dvokr chim Hok: Kronk> :: Itching to go ::
Hunter Matheson: Chief BadRad> ::more than ready::
John Randall: ::nods, his eyes constantly moving:: There is a dangerous atmosphere in this room, Jonpin.
Cptn Ja'Lale: Gronk> Relay the coordinates to the transporter room.
Hunter Matheson: Relaying coordinates.
Cptn Ja'Lale: ACTION: Once the coordinates are received, the AT transports to the base.. please use @ for the base.
John Randall: Marek> What do you mean, Lieutenant?
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::sets perimeter immediately, scanning the area for hostiles::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Arrives and draws both of her pistols.::
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::gonna follow Syl's lead since she's senior::
John Randall: The crew seem to be enjoying themselves a bit too much for my taste. They have their blood up, do they not?
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ ::follows Dyan as well as the other Klingon warriors::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Stays close to the walls and other objects as she moves.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ACTION: For those using a scanner, the three Federation life signs are nearby. Gunfire can also be heard around them.
John Randall: Marek> ::nods:: That they do, but you are in no danger here; we are allies for this mission.
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::stacks up behind Syl, a few others behind him, and some scanning the opposite wall:::
Caitlin Townshend: ::monitoring the AT::
Dvokr chim Hok: @ Kronk > :: With the team ::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Comes to a door, waiting for a breach.::
Hunter Matheson: (that ok to have extra on the sec team?)
John Randall: ::one of the other Klingons comes over to join Marek:: Kavlak> Is there a problem with the Federation man, Jonpin?
Cptn Ja'Lale: (Yeah, sure)
Dvokr chim Hok: @ Kronk > :: Weapon pointed at the door::
John Randall: Marek> Our enthusiasm seems to bother him some, he is nervous.
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::taps Syl and makes a sign that he can breach::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Nods.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @Menk>. You Federation people should go rescue your own. They are not too far away from here. We'll split up and go for the base commander and his crew, Come along, Kronk. Let me know if you need any more of my men to assist.
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::steps around her, secures his position, counts down, and with his breach gun, fires::
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::covers the far side as the air clears:::
John Randall: Kavlak> ::looks at Randall:: Do not worry, Starfleet man. We have been ordered to work with you, and we follow orders.
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ACTION: The Federation crew is kept in a holding area not far away, while the base commander and some of his officers are in the base's command centre in the upper deck.
Dvokr chim Hok: @ Kronk> :: simply nods ::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Moves in and secures cover.::
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::steps for left sweep:: Clear.
Cptn Ja'Lale: @Goodluck, Lieutenant. Menk> And to you as well..
John Randall: ::Nods at Kavlak:: That's good to know, but you'll understand if I don't relax my guard. What would you do if you were on my ship in my situation?
Dyan Sylvanis: @ Clear. ::Moves towards the next area.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ACTION: BadRad, Dyan, Ja'Lale and a few warriors head to the holding area while Menk, Kronk and the rest of the Klingons separate to get the base commander, joined with warriors from the other ships.
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::does that thing:::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ACTION: Both teams are supplemented by warriors from the other ships.
John Randall: Kavlak> ::nods:: I understand, Starfleet man. No harm will come to you. I will make sure of it. ::turns to Marek:: With your permission, Jonpin.
Hunter Matheson: :hates the wait but he's pretty good at it::
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Moves into the holding area after BadRad.::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ ::follows along, shooting at the base warriors as they go::
John Randall: Marek> ::nods:: Watch after him, Kavlak. ::to Randall:: You are in no danger, Lieutenant. But I understand your feelings. Kavlak will watch over you. You can trust him.
Caitlin Townshend: I'm having trouble maintaining a lock on the team as they penetrate deeper into the complex.
Dyan Sylvanis: @ ::Shoots a couple guards.:: Secure the hostages.
Hunter Matheson: ::turns toward the El Tee::
John Randall: ::nods at Marek:: All right, Jonpin. I will continue here at my post.
Cptn Ja'Lale: @::Captain Sivok and two of his crew member stoically look up, once his cell is opened.:: Sivok> It is nice to see you all here. ::in his calm Vulcan expression::
Cptn Ja'Lale: (2 minutes)
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::following Syl, taking out a few, then grabs the hostages, assuring them that we are friendlies::
John Randall: Marek> Very good, Lieutenant. ::nods at Kavlak and returns to his station; Kavlak goes to a station near Randall::
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::directs the corpsman to check 'em out::
Cptn Ja'Lale: @ ::to Sivok:: Good seeing you captain. n Great job. Let's prepare for transport.
Hunter Matheson: @ Chief BadRad> ::corpsman gives a thumbs up::
Cptn Ja'Lale: ACTION: @The Federation team is beamed back to the Klongat with Captain Sivok and his crew.
Dvokr chim Hok: @ Kronk > :: Guarding around ::
Cptn Ja'Lale: PAUSE SIM
Cptn Ja'Lale: PAUSE SIM
Cptn Ja'Lale: Great job everyone... we'll continue from there next week.. no TBS. Any questions?
Hunter Matheson: none
Dyan Sylvanis: nope
Dvokr chim Hok: I have lots of questions... until next week
Cptn Ja'Lale: IF there's nothing else, sim dismissed. Have a great week everyone. And goodnight
