Vanroy, going off what you said...while the Vulcans are pacifists...I think their quest for logicalblity (is that a word?)  Would over come that...Say during the domminon war, it would be illogical to alow the alpha quaderent by the Domminon, and stuff like that...

That is exactly my point.  Locking oneself into ANY extremist postition (such as pacifism which is the belief that war and the use of force is ALWAYS wrong, no exceptions) is illogical.  Inherent in the concept of logic is the ability to explore alternatives, which is not possible if you permit yourself to have only one viewpoint regardless of circumstances.
