RES TALON MISSION BRIEFING 5171026 - SEASON 22

RES TALON MISSION BRIEFING 5171026 - SEASON 22

After briefing the crew about checking out the Ustallan and Quatel systems, and leaving Laehval to make sure that all proper angles were covered, the Talon is ready to head off on their current mission, to ensure that the Othan have not razed everything in their wake. Meanwhile, a conversation had went poorly.

KhreRiovtRex: :: hrrau her chambers, where once she had been calm and resigned to dealing with this mission, was now fuming and furious::

STSF Seiben: ::checks course heading and speed""

m_k_tksa: ::stepped out on the Oira, glancing at the others casually as she heads to the lift::

Laehval tTemarr: ::Shifts in her seat, checking the course heading and speed because sometimes Koga needed someone to check his work. She glanced at Ksa as she passed, one eyebrow raised in curiosity.

Lerak trPexil: :: Lerak studied his ISD once more, making sure he was not at the tip of t'Vatrix's dagger ::

KhreRiovtRex: :: glares at the weapon rhae her desk, and then shoves it away hrrau disgust::

m_k_tksa: :: answer's t'Temarr's eyebrow raise with a spreads her hands, faintest of shrugs, a shake of the head, before heading to the lift::

Lerak trPexil: :: Gets a call from his team down in the armory ::

m_k_tksa: ::enters the lift:: Medical. ::rocks back on her heels::

KhreRiovtRex: ::hits her t'Liss:: +t'Temarr, my chambers h'nah

Lerak trPexil: +Eng+ Check those numbers again. I don't wish to have a torpedo with a faulty trigger component.

Laehval tTemarr: ::Swiping her screen off, she rose from her seat.:: S'Bien, au have the Oira. Keep us on course.

STSF Seiben: Ie rekkhai. Understood.

STSF Seiben: ::keeps the ship on course and at a good optimal speed::

Laehval tTemarr: ::She didn't bother ringing the chimes as she'd been invited. The door opened for her and she moved inside, giving her a nod.:: Ie, Rekkhai?

KhreRiovtRex: Have a seat

KhreRiovtRex: ::motions to the chair across the desk::

m_k_tksa: ::after a few moments, finds herself in medical once again:: So, now what. ::glancing at her office door, would have normally gone to grouse in there in the past, but na today, instead looks for something to help with in main medical::

Lerak trPexil: :: Gets up from his console on the oria and walks to Koga :: Koga.

Laehval tTemarr: ::Takes a seat and leans back, tilting her head.::

STSF Seiben: Ie?

KhreRiovtRex: As personnel fall under au perview, I wish au to have words with the Daise Maenak. She has been surly and insubordinate towards myself for months. I have let it go, as we have all undergone much trauma and loss, but I will na have her standing up and walking out on me, and continuing to spread her attitude around the ship.

Lerak trPexil: My team has been making adjustments to the sensitivity of the controls at impulse. :: taps a command :: If you feel it is too loose au can adjust there. :: points to an adjustable indicator :::

STSF Seiben: Ah, okay

STSF Seiben: ::tries a minor adjustment just to test it out and corrects it back to where it was:: Very nice, it's definitely more responsive now.

Laehval tTemarr: ::Both eyebrows lifted.:: t'Ksa insubordinate? What was said? What did she do?

STSF Seiben: Should be useful, thanks.

Lerak trPexil: It does push the thrusters a bit, but they are newly forged.

m_k_tksa: ((Didn't you know? I didn't kill her when she told me to, so I'm insubordinate.))

STSF Seiben: Hopefully, it won't be long to break it in.

KhreRiovtRex: She has stated she can na trust me, and walked out without being dismissed.

Laehval tTemarr: What was her reasoning for that? The Daise'Maenak does na usually form unfounded opinions. She is a woman of science and fact.

m_k_tksa: Have we run the quarterly diagnostics on stations io through thi? ::glancing at io of her nurses while checking the equipment trays at each station::

KhreRiovtRex: I have spent months of her curtness, and I need a crew that will work together towards our common goals of securing this sector and protecting the home world. She has been and continues to be unwilling to work with me. If she does na wish to serve on the Talon, perhaps au can find her a posting to her liking.

Lerak trPexil: :: Nods to Koga :: I am heading down to medical for any engineering concerns.

STSF Seiben: All right.

KhreRiovtRex: She fears that I will turn on the crew, that I can na be trusted. I told her, if she felt that strongly that I am endangering the crew, then gave her the option of preventing that as well..:: pointed towards the weapon on the desk::

Lerak trPexil: :: Exits the oria and commands the lift to take him to medical ::

KhreRiovtRex: I'm here to do a job, I need this crew whole and working together, and as much as I've tried to make amends, she still holds me in contempt. Fvaht...I don't even want to be here...I fvahting retired, and was forced back...... I've had enough.

Laehval tTemarr: ::Her eyes followed to the blade and she snorted.;: Well, that was a rather poor way of handling it. ::She picked up the blade and tossed it in her hand. Her eyes lifted to t'Rexan.:: She told au how she was feeling, the reason for her coldness, and au gave her an ultimatum? That does na seem productive.

KhreRiovtRex: We can na even think that we can heal aur world, if we can na even heal this ship...fvaht.....

Lerak trPexil: :: Enters medical ::

Laehval tTemarr: ::She pointed the weapon at her.:: Au know... we have never had our own discussion -- the io we should have had after I knocked au out to keep au from throwing yourself into a blind suicidal rage.

m_k_tksa: Let's run that diagnostic again, then. ::glances over her shoulder to see tr'Pexil entering medical:: Jolan tru, rekkhai. What can I do for au?

Laehval tTemarr: Au can na expect to win over the trust of the crew again so easily. Au have na been the most reliable Enarrain. Au let your quest for vengeance cloud your better judgement. ::She raised a hand.:: I know that has changed. Au have started seeing reason once again, and I believe au would na put this crew or ship in unnecessary danger.

Lerak trPexil: I am here to see what I can do for au and aur team. Are there any engineering issues her I can personally help with?

Laehval tTemarr: But au can na wipe out months of irrational behavior with io brief conversation where au completely prove her point by telling her to usurp au.

KhreRiovtRex: And yet, when I make attempts at amends, it is thrown hrrau my face

Laehval tTemarr: By your own admission, au threw that in her face. ::She tossed the dagger back onto the desk.:: How is that making amends?

STSF Seiben: ::Settles in and keeps their course and speed steady::

m_k_tksa: ::dusts off her hands:: Nurse Tau is about to run the quarterly diagnostics on those three stations over there.

m_k_tksa: Perhaps au could oversee that? That way I don't have to relay messages back to au about what we find?

Lerak trPexil: I can remain for a moment while those proceed.

Laehval tTemarr: ::She sighed.:: Rekkhai, I honestly believe that au should speak to the Kheinsa about what's been going on with au. Everything that has happened.

Lerak trPexil: This a small rest from the oria, so this was na problem.

KhreRiovtRex: My thoughts and behavior, were focused on those that did this to us, and wanting to prevent them from escaping.

m_k_tksa: The Oira na to your liking? ::watching as Tau types the commands into the etrehh to start the diagnostic::

Lerak trPexil: :: He looked at t'Ksa for a moment :: Ready for our next mission?

m_k_tksa: Are we ever ready? ::amused smirk::

KhreRiovtRex: Ie, and I'm sure she has also given him an earful of her hatred towards me. They are a .....team, but Var'lon had trusted him previously. so I will na say na . But why is it that au feel I need too? Do au mistrust me as well? Galae put me in charge of our defense in this sector.

KhreRiovtRex: They felt I was still able to do the job........ that and they'd still be in hiding if na for this crew.... But, are au having doubts and questioning their decisions as well?

Laehval tTemarr: ::Her eyebrow lifted again.:: Au think the Kheinsa is corruptible simply because he is her mate? That is an insult to his profession. ::She waved a hand at the dagger.:: Your attempt at making amends ended in an ultimatum where au invited the Daise'Maenak to eliminate au, and au wonder why I would be concerned?

Lerak trPexil: Oh, of medical matters. One of the women I knew from ch'Rihan is living with my parents and recovering nicely, Nalia. She is helping with chores and other odds and ends while she stays.

Lerak trPexil: On behalf of my family I thank au for the efforts to help those people.

KhreRiovtRex: She stated that she feared I would turn on the crew. I but told her if she felt I was that much of a danger, then to remove it.

m_k_tksa: Oh? Is this to be a temporary arrangement, or are you hoping that it becomes more permenant?

Lerak trPexil: :: Goes over to watch the diagnosis ::

Lerak trPexil: :: He about chokes at t'Ksa's question :: Umm, that is yet to be determined.

m_k_tksa: Tau>::Makes a face:: There's a blip in the cardiac monitoring system here.

Laehval tTemarr: I would say that is na an unfounded fear, given your past behavior. Your actions and thoughts were focused on the Othans and defeating them, but au also alienated yourself from the crew. As I said, trust takes time.

Lerak trPexil: I don't know her that well, all things considered. I guess seeing her in that state I took a heap of pity on her.

m_k_tksa: ::amused chuckle:: I see. Well, I hope she has a good recovery then ::doesn't say "speedy" just because it might be counter to what tr'Pexil wants::

Lerak trPexil: :: turns :: Just an every day citizen in a dire situation.

Laehval tTemarr: Au wish to make amends and prove that au are the leader that we know au to be, but au can na do that by automatically jumping to the conclusion that everyone that questions your methods wishes to see au stripped of command.

Lerak trPexil: :: He did not mention her attractiveness, especially when she was her normal self at that shop. It was refreshing...no ties to the Galae, none to the Tal Shiar...though that would be really funny in light of all events ::

Laehval tTemarr: We are na questioning your ability to command this ship. ::Pointedly.::

Lerak trPexil: If this mission goes well I hope to see her at her as I first met her.

Lerak trPexil: :: He watched t'Ksa's staff work on their diagnostics ::

KhreRiovtRex: And yet, I can make na headway with the Daise Maenak. I'll be honest, my first thought was to get her off the ship, but realized that too, would be counterproductive. Which is why I asked au to speak with her as well. If it will make au feel better, then go ahead, and send the Kheinsa up. I will speak with him.

m_k_tksa: Tau>And there's another irregularity here. ::frowns at the diagnostic::

Lerak trPexil: Perfection in engineering is a journey, not a destination.

KhreRiovtRex: Though au all must remember, I still am under orders by Galae, and in part with Justaru's lead in this sector. I do na have time to take a vacation,.

KhreRiovtRex: I need to make sure this sector is secure. And I need 'all' of au help to do so

Lerak trPexil: :: His mind wandered from Laehval to Nalia, then Nalia to Laehval...this was going to be a long mission ::

KhreRiovtRex: PAUSE SIM

KhreRiovtRex: Pause sim

KhreRiovtRex: Ok, thanks all, have a good night, Crew Dismissed

Laehval tTemarr: Night, everyone.

STSF Seiben: Goodnight!

Lerak trPexil: Night all
