In The Jailhouse Now

Assistant Medical Officer's Log

Once again, it has been proven that speaking out against what you disagree with does not result in change or understanding, it results in getting stuck in the brig.

I’ve been lying in this metal box for a couple of hours. I tried to sleep it out but since I got a good sleep the night before and because of the infuriating buzz of that force field I’ve been lying here staring at a wall. Now this is one of those moments where I would actually need Mogg’s ball in some feeble Steve McQueen impression but alas it’s lying on my desk next to that small Union Jack flag standing out of a Starfleet Academy mug. I’ve attempted every form of entertainment to keep me busy, meditation, I-spy (Which lost it’s novelty after the 2nd game) and singing a variety of songs including but not limited to, “Nobody knows the trouble I’ve seen”, “Rescue me”, “Please release me”, “You don’t own me”, “I fought the law and the law won” and the “Jailhouse rock”. However as my repertoire of imprisonment tunes grows thin and my voice wears out I have had to put my musically career on standby, and have decided to get a job as a bureaucrat, in other words to sit around and do nothing. But since nothing gets dull rather quickly I’m just going to have to “try” to get some rest and relaxation, although all things considered, I’d rather be on Risa. Hmm, dinnertime should be very soon, I wonder how that will be, though I seriously doubt it will be caviar and filet mignon.
