RES Talon Mission Briefing 51611.03

 

A small number of the crew are preparing to move over to the Stinger when it arrives, as the Talon will be in repair dock for a bit of time. The rest of the crew will be temporarily reassigned to assist where needed, such as manning the station, and other facilities where Galae crews had been executed or lost. All medical staff have been redirected to assist with the crisis affecting those that had been exposed to the bioweapon, and t'Ksa had been named to help head up these efforts.

ACTION: Long range sensors have picked up several small ships that have headed towards the station to rejoin with Galae forces, and a few Tal Shiar ships as well. However, due to agreements with those now heading up their efforts, they have been requested to refrain from disembarking onto the station.

 

KhreRiovtRex -> However, no sighting of the Stinger had been made yet.

KhreRiovtRex -> Med Staff> It does na appears that it is spreading, but we've na been able to independently confirm that as of yet.

KhreRiovtRex -> Med Staff> At least that's what we received in the latest packet of information. Those already affected are showing a high mortality rate, and they've yet to determine how to counter it.

KhreRiovtRex -> @:: after meeting with several other Galae leaders and updating them on the status of the battle, the station and the ships they knew of, in addition to the information she had on the Tal Shiar faction that had been loyal to ch’Rihan....she had to step away.

ACTION> And as if on cue, the Stinger uncloaked rather near the station, setting off a rash of alerts that the station ops silenced, having already been warned. They docked where Laehval had indicated and opened to allow transfers.

 

M_K_tKsa -> Clearly area io is na communicating with the other five that I've talked with:: mutters something about verruls with heads stuck up somewhere they don't belong::

KhreRiovtRex -> # :: she felt as if this were all some terrible, surreal dream that she just could na escape. She knew where she had to go, but had taken a short side trip first, stopping at their working home there in the city. It had been as she had expected........it had been broken into, and someone had been living there. Na doubt io of the higher up Tal Shiar defectors or Othan scum. Na only had they done so, but the place had been ransacked and looted.

NDak -> @ ::He was an able pilot, though it was certainly not his best area. He gave his clearance codes to the traffic controller and after a brief moment hovering near a landing padd, he sat the RAC down with only a bit of a bounce.::

NDak -> @ ::Despite the protestations of his personal guard, Elaehn tr'Jaedv, he had came alone; mostly so he could slip off to check on t'Vatrix. He unbuckled and quickly headed past the landing security check point and into the command center.::

KhreRiovtRex -> #:: she would have to come back later, but had to assure herself that he wasn't there, and then set off towards her main destination. She had to see with her own eyes, what had been done. She quickly turned her ship towards her home, and pushed her small ship to speed.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::With the engineers now swarming over the Talon with their equipment, she left her ship (somewhat reluctantly) and headed out onto the station, striding for the Stinger's docking port which was, by design, nearby.::

NDak -> @::Destorie entered the main room and found himself surrounded by a number of high ranking officials who, to put it mildly, had not been typical allies of his family over the past decades. Though his family -- and namesake -- had once been Galae partisans, his father had followed another path and became far more tied to the Tal'Shiar. Pausing as a Galae officer stopped him, he nodded:: Ie.

@ Galae Officer> Na...I know who au are. Menkha job with the Talon, and taking back the orbital station.....as well as making sure those defense platforms did na fire upon us here on the planet.

NDak -> @ ::Nods:: Hann'yyo. It was a difficult battle, but the crew of the Talon did what they always do. I was fortunate to be able to command them.

@ Galae officer> I am Khre'Riov tr'Dranis's aid. I assume au are fahd to update us on the status of the Talon?

M_K_tKsa -> ::shoulders the pack and picks up the first of several cases that she'll be taking with her, the other cases would be sherpa'd over by the three other medical staff who were accompanying her making her whole party of four::

NDak -> @ We took considerable damage, rhae the battle. I will spare au the technical details, but we will need to make a number of critical repairs before she is capable of going into battle again. We were fortunate to have had several upgrades completed prior to the breakout of hostilities.

NDak -> @ The additional armor plating likely kept us from being destroyed.

@ Galae Officer> I see, it is menkah that au had brought all that latinum back and that addtion had been made. It was a good call, and worth the price in the end. We must remind ourselves in the future, to look to making sure that our ships are ready in case this should ever happen again

@ Galae officer> I am El'Arrain tr'Larus. Several others from tr'Vatrix's staff have been found alive and have returned here to help put things in order. tr'Dranis was io of his top aides, and all have agreed that for the interim, he will be leading Galae until we can ascertain the status of tr'Vatrix and a few others of his main staff. Thank au for collaborating the reports we had received from na only Khre'Riov t'Vatrix, but several other Enarrains. There is some lingering doubt, unfortunately...as to the actions of the Daise KhreRiov and if t'Vatrix had any pre-knowledge of such. Though, from all reports her story check out... she has relinquished command of the fleet to tr'Dranis. To avoid any question of command or conflict, of course.

@ tr'Larus> She did tell us that she had placed au medical officer t'Ksa in charge of handling those affected by the bioweapon. Is this true as well?

NDak -> @ ::Nods:: Ie. Maenek t'Ksa is something of an expert in the field and given her knowledge of the subject, it seemed appropriate. When I left the Talon she was continuing her efforts.

@ tr'Larus> It would give many great hope that she is in charge, at least to those that believe that she was able to 'do what was reported, and cure t'Vatrix'. Even those that had been questioning if the woman had cloned t'Vatrix, are please to see her on this, as either way...her medical skills are far and above superior to anyone else we've been able to get working on this.

@ tr'Larus> Did the station and au engineers give au any type of timetable....or...I suppose even a sense of how long it will take to repair Talon? We could use her to help defend what we've taken back already.

NDak -> @ ::Frowns:: When I left we were still finishing our assessment of some of the secondary damage as well as seeing how badly damaged the orbital facility was, but they are among the finest crew, rhae the Galae and they will work diligent to assure that Talon is returned to the combat status as soon possible.

@ tr'Larus> I'm sure that Khre'Riov tr'Dranis could use someone like au fahd rhae his staff, since au ship is unavailable, though, t'Vatrix had mentioned that au crew have already procured another? How is that possible?

NDak -> @ ::Smiles:: As I said they are very resourceful. They have procured the RES Stringer and I had intended to transfer my flag to her until Talon could be brought back online. Of course, should the Khre'Riov feel I am better used elsewhere I will of course comply.

NDak -> Issaha> ::Making his way to the Stinger, he had been working on various reports from the surface on survivors fate and getting data corraled for t'Ksa -- though the battle had been something of aa distraction on that front.::

@ tr'Larus> I believe tr'Dranis just left a short while ago after a long planning session to try to get a bit of sleep. None of us I'm sure...either here or on our ships above have had much chance go get any rest yet. Hopefully...with the efforts of the last few days, we are past this and can start to rebuild.

M_K_tKsa -> Well, as it stands now, before our last firefight, I was able to contact at least five out of the nine known disaster recovery centers. We just heard word from another io just recently. ::starts to walk slowly with t'Temarr:: I'm trying to build the communication network so that we can put the combined knowledge to use and help us combat the issue quicker.

M_K_tKsa -> I know two of the DRM's personally, so that helps, but with the infrastructure as it is, it's a challenge.

@ tr'Larus> Do think about what I said, we will be needing officers to replace those in key positions once the dust gets settled here. If au have any thought of such a role, or should the Khre'Riov wishes to remain in the fleet and wishes her ship back...well, I suppose that is a bridge to be crossed once we all get there....

M_K_tKsa -> Unfortunately several of our live samples were damaged when the Talon was engaged in the firefight, but the research t'Rike provided from center this has helped.
