BBC America - Star Trek 50th Anniversary Marathon Sept 8th

http://www.tvguide.com/news/star-trek-50-anniversary-marathon-bbc-america/

In case you missed it, BBC America will be running a 50th Anniversary Marathon of Star Trek - The Original Series (Uncut) starting on Thursday Sept 8th, 2016 starting at 8:30 pm EST. (and some TNG leading up to it). Nice chance sit and reminisce. Great way to introduce your kids to the series as well.

The saying (and book) that "All I've learned in life, I've learned from Star Trek" is sort of true for me, as it was something I grew up with, and was one of the first shows I remember sitting and watching with my parents (along with Lassie, Batman, Gunsmoke and many others...that's what we did back in the 60's and 70's...family around the tv nights). It's moral teachings, dilemmas, social situations, were always current with world events, and even today....a lot more people in the world, could do with sitting and being made to watch this show and get their priorities and idea straight. (Ok, off my soap box now).

Anyway....just posting and sharing. It's been a big part of my life, and if you are reading this, I'm assuming yours as well.

So very true, KhreRiov. I cannot imagine a life without Star Trek. In fact, many scientists were lured into studying the universe at a very young age when the series piqued their interest. It has become an integral part of our civilization, on many levels. Thank you for reminding me of the marathon. I just finished watching First Contact and cannot wait for the year 2063.

Peace, and long life.

Star Trek, as well, has been a huge part of my life. Not only in of itself, Trek also enabled me to branch out into other interests. Happy 50th Star Trek!
