The Manticore was caught in a huge energy and gravitational

rift and we now find ourselves on the far side, in a strange

universe. We are surrounded by three large ships from the

National Space Exploration Administration offering to help us.

The NSEA has never heard of the Federation and we don't know

who the NSEA is. At the same time, there are centuries-old works

of fiction in each universe that describes a future world of space

travel that is identical to the other. Somehow we are the physical

manifestations of each other's "Science Fiction."
