RES Talon Mission Briefing 51604.21- Season 21

 

t'Vatrix and her detail have made it down to the lower level of the building, and have just dispatched two Othan officers that they encounter a few doors down from the secret access way to Galae Headquarters. The plan is to wait a few siuren to see if the others are able to reach our position before opening the hidden passageway. Leah and Pexil had held off security measures just long enough for the advance team to make it to their location without giving themselves up on sensors. However, Othan teams are starting to regain some control and are advancing on the engineer's position and they will need to move fast. t'Ksa has 2 full detachments of troops guarding and reinforcing the medical triage area she's set up, while t'Mahren has been sabotaging the computer server, trying to slow our enemy down, and to decoy them away from our position. Depending on how the Othan troops advance, she will have to decide to reinforce either t'Ksa or our position.

KhreRiovtRex -> ::Pulls her kaleh from the neck of the dead man, wiping it clean on his pant leg and re-sheaths it

KhreRiovtRex -> Menkha work all. Hide the bodies in case anyone else comes down this way...there, behind those mats. Toss some of those towels on top

Laehval tTemarr -> # ::Laehval paused at the junction. They were one floor away from their destination and now had dozens of Othans between them and the other team. She pulled her disruptor from her belt and glanced back at Lerak.:: Some are headed for t'Mahren's position, but there are still many in the way. We need another distraction. Ideas?

tAehjae -> ::nods and moves to drag to bodies out of the way::

Koga S'Bien -> Right. ::grabs one of the dead men hefts him over to the mats like a sack of potatoes::

Koga S'Bien -> ::curls him up and places towels and mats over him::

tAehjae -> :: drops the other behind the mats and tosses a few towels over them::

 

ACTION: Forward teams bring a few more wounded to t'Ksa's location. Most do not appear to be too bad. Another, they probably shouldn't have wasted her time, but will leave that decision to her...

 

Lerak trPexil -> # Lights?

Koga S'Bien -> ::helps tidy up the area with t'A to make it less likely anyone will find the dead bodies or signs a fight had occurred here::

KhreRiovtRex -> TS trooper> Very well....::nods to the other to move with him to the other side and leave him with the nurse::

KhreRiovtRex -> TS Trooper> :: walks back over to t'Ksa:: I was asked to see if au wish to remain at this location, or move this to the Retor infirmary. Our troops have secured the area, and it has better equipment.

 

Laehval tTemarr -> Alright... as soon as the lights cut, we're going. Stay low and try not to bump in to anyone.

M_K_tKsa -> I would love to move, however logistically that's not feasible and would waste valuable time. Once the whole complex is under control, and au all stop y'ya'ing each other, moving might be possible.

Koga S'Bien -> ::Looks around quietly::

KhreRiovtRex -> TS Trooper> Salutes and nods, turning and heading back towards the sound of the fighting....

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> A level below t'Rexan's team, the lights suddenly brighten and then explode, but only in certain sections.

 

KhreRiovtRex -> Hold a siruen, let's see if they come back on, or perhaps.......

tAehjae -> :: stops in her tracks waiting::

Koga S'Bien -> ::stops as well, waits and listens::

KhreRiovtRex -> Either the Othan shut it down to confuse us, t'Mahren took out the computers and facility protocols, or Leah and Pexil shut it down. Let's hope for the latter...

Laehval tTemarr -> # Don't let go. ::She reached for his hand and then pulled him out into the hallway, skittering across in the darkness to the room directly across from them. The path was skewed, winding around obstacles rather than facing them directly. Their guards followed, ready to kill anyone that needed killing.

Koga S'Bien -> Yes, I hope so for the latter.

Laehval tTemarr -> # ::She as breathing hard by the time they reached the next turning. They only had one more hall to go to reach the stairs, but it was full of Othan troops checking rooms. They were coming closer. Leaning close to Lerak, she murmured: <vs> Now set off the alerts on the far end of the building. Lights, sirens, everything.

KhreRiovtRex -> unlocked. ::feels around for the keypad by the door, and punches in a code, which releases the manual door locks::

Koga S'Bien -> ::enters through the door into the other room::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::pulls out a small flashlight and turns it on once they have both entered and makes way over to an old file cabinet

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> On one side of the building, the alarms start blaring. The fire suppression system fills the rooms with a foamy substance, burying a good portion of their enemy. Thankfully it wasn't in their section. The Othans in their way quickly began heading that way, following the shouts for help.

 

M_K_tKsa -> ::jumps into the middle of a procedure with io of the other maenaks to try to help out::

@ ACTION:: OVER THE CITY, THE ROAR OF SEVERAL SIZABLE SHIPS PASSING CLOSE OVERHEAD AND FIRING AT SPECIFIC TARGETS CAN BE HEARD. DOWN ON THE LOWER LEVELS, THOUGH NA SEEN, THEIR IMPACT CAN BE FELT BY THE TEAMS BELOW.....

ACTION:: Feels the ground shake again as it is pounded by weapons fire...

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Leans against the wall once they were in safely and slides her disruptor back into her holster.::

KhreRiovtRex -> Menkha.....na t'Mahren. She mush have had too much resistance to get here, or sent to see to t'Ksa's safety.

KhreRiovtRex -> :: walks over and claps Laehval on the shoulder:: I always said au were the best engineer in the fleet.... Phase 2 will provide the distraction we need.

KhreRiovtRex -> Koga...here... :: pulls open one of the file cabinet drawers, and reaches to the back, finding a keypad and presses in a code, then pulls a manual lever::

Koga S'Bien -> Need help with thatÉ ::heads over to assist::

Lerak trPexil -> :: Notices he is still holding onto Laehval, then lets go ::

 

ACTION: A metallic sound of a bolt unlatching is heard, and t'Vatrix took a step back:: Koga, swing the whole unit to the left

 

Koga S'Bien -> Okay. ::does as instructed as swings the unit to left with a grunt::

Lerak trPexil -> :: He thought it was nice while it lasted ::

 

ACTION: As Koga pushes on the cabinet, the entire section of wall behind it opens as part of the wall and part of the cabinet swing, revealing a passageway behind it

 

KhreRiovtRex -> Once we enter, we'll swing the unit back, and latch it behind us. This passage was meant as an escape route form Galae Headquarters. Only a few of us knew of its existence. Varlon had it put in when he started to distrust a few of the others.

 

ACTION: GROUND SHAKES AGAIN, AS HEAVY WEAPONS FIRE FROM SHIPS IS FELT AGAIN STRIKING THE GROUNDS....
