The Manticore is enroute to Earth, but after picking up supplies

at a starbase, we also pick up a "passenger." An alien is in the

cargo bay who can "talk" into most of our minds (without sound)

while cancelling out all forms of manufactured energy. Sovak

tried to meet it and almost died when he got too close to it. It is

asking for our help in finding a remote, non technology place to

live (hide?), away from all others. Analyzing its tissue sample,

we discover it is a match for a race known as a Yaku. The Yaku

was thought to have been completed wiped out, mysteriously,

a year before the creation of the Federation, following their

own attack and destruction of another entire race.
