RES Talon Mission Briefing 51603.17 - Season 21

 

The crew as part of the resistance teams trying to take back key facilities from the Othan/Tal Shiar alliance, have taken on the mission to head up several teams trying to take back Galae Retor. Hopefully with the communications grid having already been taken down by our engineers, once we make the assault, we'll be able to call upon air support if needed from Galae ships that have been hidden and in waiting to come to our aid. More difficult, our team hopes to also use some covert accesses from the Retor, to possibly enter Galae Command, and see if anything can be done there as well. Some of the crew seem resistant, and have been told that they can return to resistance headquarters, if they do na wish to join this part of the mission. This is all....volunteers at this time.....nobody will be ordered to go. Nobody will suffer any consequences if they decide na to go.

KhreRiovtRex -> :: Standing in the back of the RAC, gathering up her gear and glowering a bit, na happy with the resistance and blame being aimed at her::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::grabs an extra kaleh and sticks it in her belt::

Koga S'Bien -> ::checks his disruptor and kaleh::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: na sure if anyone is actually going to go with her, but intends to go anyway. There are several other ships landing along with them, and we need to make a strong swift strike::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval had her gear on and was ready to go. Her nose was buried in her ISD, however, as she continued to monitor the activity currently happening at the power station.::

M_K_tKsa -> I'll be staying with the triage center that the residence sets up here. ::shouldering her pack::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: turns to Cardboard t'A:: stay and guard the Daise Maenak's position until the reinforcements get a perimeter around her triage area set

Lerak trPexil -> :: Pencil went over and over the communication channels he could monitor to insure they would be ineffective ::

Koga S'Bien -> (oh autocorrect)

M_K_tKsa -> Na, t'A should go with au. I have plenty of help here.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Glances up at tr'Pencil briefly, then back down to her padd.::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::shuts eyes a siuren, as she hears the craft's thrusters change harmonics as they start to descend::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: motions over her shoulder to t'A to follow::

Lerak trPexil -> :: tactical was not his strong suit, but flying was ::

 

ACTION: 7 RAC's make a swift decent into the main courtyard of the Retor, while other ships head to more noticable targets, hoping to draw attention there...

 

Koga S'Bien -> ::regards the other ships::

KhreRiovtRex -> Remember.....This is na the Retor and HQ we left behind. Most of our fellow officers have either fled, are with us today, but many have been captured and yy'a. Tal Shiar and Othan forces are in command here, but information tells us that they pressed many of the younger students into training to fill their ranks.

Lerak trPexil -> I think it will hold Laehval, the block out.

KhreRiovtRex -> They will either join us, or be against us. Be assured, I do na doubt that they were na given a choice, many barely older than children, so many may have given in rather than see their families hurt. We all know that their families will be hunted anyway

Laehval tTemarr -> (( Oh, crap. I just realized we're going in to kill baby jedi. ))

KhreRiovtRex -> However, unless it's someone au know..I'm na sure how much we can trust any of them. If you meet resistance, subdue them, if they fire on au....then au have no recourse, than to fire back

KhreRiovtRex -> ((well, only if the bay jedi had already been taken over by palpatine)

Lerak trPexil -> ((not unless the Death Eaters get to them first))

ACTION: THE RAC'S LAND AND DROP OPEN THE REAR HATCH

 

Lerak trPexil -> :: gets out, weapon drawn ::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: Crouches down as she exits, hugging the side of the vessel, looking around and upward at the guard towers and walls::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval looked up as they prepared to land and tucked her ISD in her suit, reaching for her disruptor. She hung on to the ceiling as the ship landed and then quickly moved forward to join t'Rex outside.::

Koga S'Bien -> ::draws his weapon and follows after tr'Pencil::

 

ACTION:: Random weapons fire hits the ground and sides of a few ships. A few random resistance fighters are hit and go down, before several of our teams start taking down those firing down upon them::

 

KhreRiovtRex -> ::feels the heat of a shot hitting the side of the ship behind her, and cringes a bit:: turns and fires towards where the shot came from, dropping the man atop the wall, who slumps forward and drops to the ground below::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: motions to two of the other teams exiting their ships beside hers:: Get up to those towers. Take out their guards, and set up sniper teams. If any other ships that are na with us and appropriately marked, au are to take them out. Secure the walls ::turns to see who, if any of her group had joined her and make sure they were na hit::

Lerak trPexil -> :: wishes he was a better shot ::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: is silently relieved and thankful to see that her core officers, had indeed joined her. She had told Var'lon she could depend on them when she needed to, and it was at least io small victory to see she had been right about at least some of them::

M_K_tKsa -> ::waiting for the initial firefight to be completed before springing into action to care for the wounded, discussing with io of the other medics on the best shelter placement for a med station::

Lerak trPexil -> I need to get in there to take over the place from the inside.

KhreRiovtRex -> That's the plan Pexil.....once those two teams secure the walls, I'm going to have to depend on au and Laehval to get us into the computer systems and take down their security modules

KhreRiovtRex -> Koga, t'A and I will provide cover for au

ACTION: Othan guard comes out of a nearby building and turns taking aim at her group

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Disruptor at the ready, she peeked around the side of the ship, taking aim at the guard.::

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan Guard> :: goes to fire, then realized he's terribly out gunned....decides to go back for help::

Koga S'Bien -> ::turns and takes a shot at the fleeing guard::

KhreRiovtRex -> (rofl....Carl never stays in the house!)

Lerak trPexil -> :: runs after the guy

ACTION: Koga takes down the fleeing guard as he turns to go back in, falling in the doorway, his dead body preventing the door from closing .

Lerak trPexil -> :: the door open so

KhreRiovtRex -> Nice shot Koga, and now we have a way in..... This way....::waves to two of the other teams to fan out, and one to join us....

Lerak trPexil -> (bah)

Koga S'Bien -> Let's go.. ::nods::

 

KhreRiovtRex -> Pexil, Laeh, as soon as you see any type of appropriate security panels au can access...let us know and we'll stop go cover you. We will eventually have to get you to the main Operations center.....but at least we're now inside. The narrow corridors help us as much as it will hinder them coming at us in large numbers.

M_K_tKsa -> ::now that the initial firefight has ended, the cleanup work on the wounded begins::

KhreRiovtRex -> Au all have served here....au know the buildings....use that to our advantage, everyone spent a few years here. Our enemy.....a few weeks/months at best. Everyone had their hiding places, use them.

KhreRiovtRex -> Laehval...suggestions?

Lerak trPexil -> Right. :: prepping his anti-surveillance gear ::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She nodded at t'Rexan's suggestion.:: Security panels would be helpful. We could crack into the system for a look into the complex. Also, it'd give us control of the security measures. This isn't an easy system to shunt, however. They have severe measures in place to prevent just that.

Laehval tTemarr -> And as soon as we start accessing the system, we're going to set off any number of alarms alerting them to our location.

Lerak trPexil -> Our punishment could be most severe.

KhreRiovtRex -> True, but we have io thing they don't....... The best engineers on the planet. :: smirks:: I've seen your work Enarrain....do au worst...

KhreRiovtRex -> I'm going to assume that if they can clear the way, t’Ksa may be heading toward the infirmary station...we'll follow up with her team when we are able

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She had to smile at t'Rexan's confidence in her and Lerak, though privately had reservations. Especially on this system.::

KhreRiovtRex -> I have to believe the reports. The Tal Shair is split and lost many of their own to the resistance, they are using their people, and Othan fill in's, which can't be all that many, to staff every critical location in the capital. They will be spread thin at best, in areas they may think are na high priority targets....such as the retor...who attacks a school?

KhreRiovtRex -> Besides....I have the access codes to the 'secret corridors to HQ'....it helps to know the boss. And have him want to meet for a few clandestine lunches. ::winks::
