RES TALON MISSION BRIEFING 51602.11 – Season 21

 

The various resistance groups had begun the joint incursion against the Othan and homeworld Tal'Shiar collaborators, hitting important targets near the capital, transportation centers, communications hubs and military sites. Some teams were encountering more of a fight than had been expected, and others were making great strides. The group that the Talon crew had joined with, with help from t'Mahren's friends, had made it to their main target, and while drawing attention, have so far been able to move towards the goal of dismantling and installing a virus into the communications. While Leah, Pexil, t'Ksa, t'Mahren and Koga move towards their objective, others including t'Rexan and t'A are fighting off and trying to lead away a number of attack ships that are trying to stop our teams...

KhreRiovtRex -> :: all around Leah's team, lay sprawled the last of the armed group which stood between her team and their objective::

Koga S'Bien -> ::bogged down battling towards their goal point::

Lerak trPexil -> :: With Koga, waiting to get in ::

M_K_tKsa -> (m) this would be so much easier if people would stop shooting at us.

KhreRiovtRex -> Resistance TalShiar> :: turns to Koga:: get ready to follow our lead, we'll draw them out and take them down. We need to get you and your shipmate to join au Enarrain in there...

KhreRiovtRex -> ((ricebowls at 50 paces?)

Koga S'Bien -> ::nods:: Understood. I'm ready.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval grunted at Ksa's comment and strode into the power station, letting t'Mahren's cohorts take the lead to clear the way. If they were lucky, they wouldn't have to contend with any more guards.::

KhreRiovtRex -> RTS:> ::nods to his men, as they move forward firing, trying to pin down the remaining fvai that had been shooting at them..

Koga S'Bien -> ::follows along as the RTS' squad provides cover also hoping to make it in quickly::

Lerak trPexil -> :: Lets the RTS move them along ::

KhreRiovtRex -> RTS> :: turns and points to Koga and Pexil:: Make sure au have your gear with au, au may na have the chance to come back

Koga S'Bien -> ::Checks:: Ie, we should have everything we need with us.

Koga S'Bien -> ::looks to Pexil:: At least I do.

EvietMahren -> ::watching as the salt-and-pepper haired "Romulan" disappears around the corner and into the beyond with tr'Argelian::

 

ACTION:: The others advance, and wave Koga and Pexil to proceed down the side passage, along with 2 guards to give them cover if needed

 

Lerak trPexil -> I am equipped as well.

EvietMahren -> ::silently wishing them luck as she turns her attention back to the tasks at hand::

Koga S'Bien -> ::nods and Pexil and guards and heads down to the indicated side passage::

Lerak trPexil -> (w) This better work

 

ACTION: Leah's team can hear some more weapons fire echoing down into the facility through corridors or ventilation shafts, but it sounded as if it were a bit closer

 

M_K_tKsa -> ::pretty much accepted her fate of being baggage carrier for this jaunt behind enemy lines because she nas little tech skills that would be of any use to Laehval::

KhreRiovtRex -> (but think what you could do for them if Pexil should get a paper cut!)

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She had her disruptor pistol at the ready, but really didn't want to have to kill anyone if she didn't have to. She was an engineer, not an assassin. Moving quickly, she paused at the next junction and peered around the corner.::

EvietMahren -> ::was an assassin, but simply wanted the job done so things could get back to normal... well, as normal as they get for her::

M_K_tKsa -> ::was neither an assassin nor an engineer...only a maenak which probably made her the most frightening one of all :P ::

KhreRiovtRex -> #Meanwhile..... The firefight between the resistance ships, and some of the Tal Shiar or Othan ships, was na going as smoothly as the communications mission. Additional ships had joined in from neighboring regions, after their fights had been won or the driven off..... Some flew as if they were assassins!

EvietMahren -> (( Or the one that would have to clean up the mess after we all make it out of here... ))

Koga S'Bien -> ::Advances with the aid of the RTS squad to the passage or near to it::

Lerak trPexil -> :: Was another engineer wanting to get from point A to point b without becoming someone's notch on their disruptor barrel ::

EvietMahren -> ::backing up Laeh, taking a position on the opposite wall of the junction, checking for baddies::

KhreRiovtRex -> RTS Leader> :: turns to Pexil and Koga:: Do you know where to find the etrehh that au need to work with? Will au be joining the other team?

EvietMahren -> ::disruptor at the ready as she "sliced the pie" to look around the corner and check::

Lerak trPexil -> :: nods :: There are several we can use, some better than others

Koga S'Bien -> Better ones are preferable.

 

ACTION: Suddenly as they reached the next corner, a large man in Othan uniform reached out and grabbed Koga, thinking to subdue him and hold off Koga's companions

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Seeing that t'Mahren's crew had "handled" the resistance ahead, she slipped around the corner and continued onward, checking her wrist display.:: We're nearly there. Next junction and then a left to reach the main control room.

Lerak trPexil -> :: Takes aim with his disruptor :: I'd let him go if au with to live.

Koga S'Bien -> ::luckily he's large too, grabs the Othan's arm and twists it back behind him, possibly breaking his arm in the process::

EvietMahren -> ::senses on alert as she follows Laeh's lead::

M_K_tKsa -> Menkha, because I didn't want to have to ask the "are we there yet" question. ::teases through the nervousness she feels::

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan> Argg..!!

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan> :: stomps his boot on Koga's toes:

EvietMahren -> ::glances to Morgana:: Don't make me turn this team around... ::smirks::

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> When the trio reached the control room, there were bodies everywhere. Most had been killed with a swift blade to the throat. Efficient. Two of the advance team were injured -- one from a nasty stab wound and the other bleeding at the temple.

M_K_tKsa -> She started it ::pointed to the invisible sibling/whatever::

Koga S'Bien -> ::kicks his legs out from under him:: Stomp my boots, eh? ::Stomps on his face::

EvietMahren -> ::stops short, looking over the carnage::

EvietMahren -> ::raises brows::

EvietMahren -> Well, that solves that problem.

M_K_tKsa -> Well, now I see why you brought me here. Clean up crew for our team. ::motions that she's going to go help the io with the stab wound while handing over the equipment box to t'Mahren so she can help Laehval::

EvietMahren -> ::takes the box and moves to assist Laeh::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval went directly to the central console and tapped to access the main grid. The security credentials flashed red, locking them out of the system. With a frown, she reached under the console and yanked open the access panel.::

 

ACTION: Two more Othan come around the corner, pointing ie'yakk at Pexil and Koga

 

EvietMahren -> ::reached over and tapped a few commands into the system to delay the alerts, at least::

KhreRiovtRex -> RTS Leader> :: turns and points weapon back at them, leaving Pexil in the middle to do....

Lerak trPexil -> :: Takes a shot at them ::

Koga S'Bien -> Oh. Au had friends. ::draws out his disruptor::

M_K_tKsa -> Put pressure on his wound ::handing off a bandage to io of the other members of the team, knowing that they'll take care of each other:: I'll work with this io first. ::motioning to the stab wound::

 

ACTION: Othan's withdraw around the corner, firing back towards Pexil and his group

 

Koga S'Bien -> ::fires back as well::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She dug through the box Evie brought over to find the tools she needed, glancing to the door as she pulled free one of the ODN harnesses.:: I need tr'Pexil for this to go faster. t'Mahren, send someone back to find him and S'Bien.

KhreRiovtRex -> Meanwhile, t'Mahren and her 'friends' hear weapons fire very close to their current position

Lerak trPexil -> :: takes cover as well ::

EvietMahren -> ::arches brows:: There's no one left to send.

Koga S'Bien -> ::moves closer to Pex and the RTS group, taking cover with them:: So many of them..

EvietMahren -> ::looking toward the door, unholsters her disruptor and heads toward the fire::EvietMahren -> ::peeks cautiously around the door, seeing the fire ricochet off walls down one direction in corridor, turns and goes the other direction, remembering the floorplan::

EvietMahren -> ::eases around a corner and keys the entry to the stairs::

Laehval tTemarr -> Stab wound> ::Grunts at Ksa, not the whiny sort even though one of his lungs was punctured.::

EvietMahren -> ::stands to one side as the door slides open, maneuvering so she can glance at the staircase to ensure it's clear before heading into the stairwell::

EvietMahren -> ::finding it clear, takes them two at a time and exits, not even bothering to check on the other side, weapon and nerves at the ready::

EvietMahren -> ::rounds another corner and finds the back of the guards that have Pex and Koga pinned::

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan> :: turns slight to one of the others:: Give me one fo those stun grenades, we'll hit them with this, and be done with them

EvietMahren -> ::switches phaser to rapid fire, taking shots at the backs of the heads of the Othans::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Rewires the power to the console and plugs in one of her decryption devices to crack the security system.::

Koga S'Bien -> ::Stays low, almost has his head disrupted off by a close shot::

EvietMahren -> (( Er, disruptor... ))

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan> Shot...and drops grenade.....

EvietMahren -> (( Because even before phaser, I had typed blaster because I've been playing Star Wars... ))

KhreRiovtRex -> (lol)

Koga S'Bien -> ((ooh, now did he take off the pin before he got shot? :D )

KhreRiovtRex -> Give it 2 seconds and you will know....

 

ACTION: The metal canister clanks on the floor, and rolls to a stop against the wall. Nothing happens.....

 

KhreRiovtRex -> (I wanted to see if one of you dove on it! lol)

M_K_tKsa -> ::smiles just a touch as she tends to the wound:: You guys did brillantly, you know. Menkha job.

Koga S'Bien -> Nice shot?

EvietMahren -> ::continues to fire narrow-beam, high impact shots at the Othans::

KhreRiovtRex -> Othan Lead> :: turns in suprise, only to have his face meet with the energy of t'Mahren's weapon::

EvietMahren -> ::gaining a sense of satisfaction as she watches the body count rise::

KhreRiovtRex -> The headless body drops to the floor next to the rest of the dead.

Koga S'Bien -> ::moves closer towards the other end, taking cover as he does::

EvietMahren -> ::muttering:: I'm really rather over this whole scenario.

 

ACTION: There seems to be no further movement.

 

M_K_tKsa -> ((What is this? The Romulan version of a Deadpool body count?))

EvietMahren -> (( Perfectly okay with that. ))

 

ACTION: Koga hears movement around the corner.....

 

ACTION: t'Mahren hears movement around the corner....

 

Lerak trPexil -> :: Does Pexil hear anything around the corner? ::

EvietMahren -> ::ducking in a doorframe, peering carefully, as not to expose too much of herself to fire or to gain attention::

KhreRiovtRex -> # t'A, get us away from that big fighter, our sheilds won't take another big hit from it...

Koga S'Bien -> ::takes cover and points a disruptor towards the movement, looking to see what it was::

KhreRiovtRex -> # +t'Kallen+ I hope you have some more ships you can divert here, we've encountered some heavy resistance. We've taken about half of them out, but they've done the same to us. We're trying to pull them away from the ground team's objective. My ship won't take much more. We may need to set down and take cover until someone can come get us....

KhreRiovtRex -> #+t'Temarr+ Hope you've made it, we're going to have to bail out, the other ships will see you out....

KhreRiovtRex -> # t'A, Chaz...:: points to the other 2...get on the transport pad, we'll beam you to the ground 2 at a time, and let them take the ship out, and think we didn't make it, we'll meet up at LZ 23 on your maps....

KhreRiovtRex -> Ok...so next week, if Koga, Pexil and t'Mahren don't shoot each other, they'll join up with Leah's team and move forward with the plan.

KhreRiovtRex -> The ship teams, will take a bit more to rejoin up, but hope they can shortly..
