USS Republic Mission Briefing 516601.18 - Season 24

 

In an attempt to fool their 'reluctantly incarcerated guests' the new plan is to let them think that they've fooled the Federation crew that 'rescued' them....even though we know everything is an outright lie. Records retrieved from raids on Federation stations and colonies showed at least 2 of those held below, taking part in the capture and atrocities against those that would soon be mutated by the madman J'Rom. In an attempt to have them lead us to the others that had escaped our reach earlier, we plan to release them on whichever of these two planets we've approached, convincing them that they are free and that we're in a hurry to resume our chase. However..... We have another plan....one that depends heavily on our away teams and their ability to blend in undercover....

 

We left off noting 30 minutes will have passed and the away teams are assembling in the shuttle bays

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::makes her way to the shuttle bay, dressed in an non-descript wardrobe of beige and grey... but does her hair up the way Holly suggested last way::

Rue Wydown -> Giles>::as per usual, been pretty quiet since they boarded Republic, deciding the sooner he's away from these nuts the better::

Rue Wydown -> Rue>::waiting for the next show to begin...and hoping her popcorn will be ready in time::

August Jax Robinson -> ::frowns at the other shuttles still under repair:: I don't think all of those dents are going to come out

STSF_BluRox -> ::wonders if Rue is awake yet and got the message about the away team mission plan::

STSF_BluRox -> +Rue+ This is Blu...... did you have a chance to see the mission plan I sent to your messages while you were off shift?

Ayumu Kasuga -> I could say the same about mine, but after researching the women on the planet, this seems to be normal garb

Ayumu Kasuga -> Do you like how I did my hair? Holly suggested I do it up like this.. I think she's good a good point.

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::apologizing to our raider/guests:: We'll be ready to go momentarily, if you all could take your seats in the shuttle. ::had sense to take them to the 2nd shuttlebay so they wouldn’t see anything::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::heads to her shuttle and begins pre-flight checks::

Heather Jamieson -> :: has a similar, but lighter jacket ::

Rue Wydown -> +Blu+ Just a watching the parade of actors flounce through the shuttle bay via the XO office monitors. You ought to see what Jax did to her hair.

STSF_BluRox -> +Rue+ Meet me in shuttle bay one...I’m almost afraid to see this.....

Heather Jamieson -> :: takes the seat next to Ayumu and does her own series of checks ::

STSF_BluRox -> +Ayumu+ Make sure that Will's prisoner's do not 'see' any of you others in the shuttle bay. The idea is to tail them with people that they will not easily recognize.... Which is why they will go down with Will and Christina, they would expect Security to take them down and release them

August Jax Robinson -> +Will+ am I going with Ayumu and Heather, or your shuttle?

Rue Wydown -> +Blu+ Aye aye Admiral

Ayumu Kasuga -> +Blu+ Aye sir. Understood.

STSF_BluRox -> Cardboard Christina> Has Will's shuttle already prepped, and though their 'guests' have been cleared to be released......continues to glower at them.....keeping up the security ruse of being unhappy about releasing them....

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::gets everyone seated::

Rue Wydown -> Giles> ::glances at the other two yahoos who have never been the brightest comets in the sky before taking his seat.::

STSF_BluRox -> +Ayumu+ Stand by in the shuttle bay, we don't want them knowin another ship is launching...we'll have to follow from a distance, but we need them first to tell Will which of the 2 planets they want to go to...then you can follow from a distance and then land after as well...

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::powers up shuttle:: Gentlemen, where are we headed so I can get clearance from the bridge?

O'Malley> So what's the deal? You're just dropping us somewhere? Don't we get passage to someplace we want to go after being released? :: looks expectantly to Will""

Heather Jamieson -> :: looks down at her tiny green mark on her wrist::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::looks at Heather's green mark:: What's that for?

LtCmdrRobinson -> Unfortunately we have another mission, taking you even this far is delaying us as it is.

STSF_BluRox -> I take it you've had a chance to look at the plan? We lost track of the ship we were following with all the ion trails criss-crossing here. There are 2 planets and one small moon base that they could have put in at and landed to hide.

Heather Jamieson -> Oh, I told them to keep it when they were turning us back from Orion green.

LtCmdrRobinson -> If you want, we could shoot you out into space in torpedoes, in the general direction you wish to go.

August Jax Robinson -> ::Snickers:: leave it, or couldn't be totally removed

STSF_BluRox -> If they are even hiding....they may have thought they got clean away. We're going to release and track 'our guests'. Holly's already marked them, Will and Christina are taking them down, and then Jax, Ayumu and Heather are going to follow from a distance.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Seriously? Man... I'm glad it all faded away. I'm not taking any chances this time.. I really hope this mission doesn't end up like that one.

STSF_BluRox -> We're hoping they'll lead us to their partners....be it friendly or in anger for being left.

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::brings up a display they can see:: You get a choice of those two planets.

LtCmdrRobinson -> Then we need to turn around and head back, those two are as far as I am authorized to take you.

STSF_BluRox -> I was thinking originally....of sending you, but you sat in the interviews, not sure if you think they’d recognize you from a distance..

Heather Jamieson -> I'm glad you and Christina were there with me.

Rue Wydown -> If we have tracking devices, then why send the crew so close?

Ayumu Kasuga -> Yeah, it was a disaster, but at least we stuck together. But next time, we'll just call Hans for a ride.

STSF_BluRox -> It's just a viridian patch...if they change, no good. But we need to find who they are talking with, who's helping them. I want all these creeps..

 

Ayumu Kasuga -> It really wasn't easy being green. (Couldn't help myself!)

STSF_BluRox -> I'm not sure how many Caitians there may be down there, so I may stand out too much....

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::monitors comm traffic:: We'll leave about five minutes after Will's shuttle.

Ayumu Kasuga -> That should be a good balance of not being too close, and not too far away as we lose them.

Rue Wydown -> You do remember the last I helped your crew in an undercover mission on Risa I ended up in a wet t-shirt bikini mob scene?

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::;looks at the chrono displayed on the shuttle console, keeping track of Will's shuttle::

Rue Wydown -> Giles> ::mutters something incoherent under his breath::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::plots a course for the closest planet::

Heather Jamieson -> Yes, they chose the closest one.

Ayumu Kasuga -> All right. Setting a course for the closest planet. ::does so::

 

STSF_BluRox -> ::scrunches up her face:: Luckily...due to my head injury at that time, I dont' remember too much about the particulars of that mission......

STSF_BluRox -> +Ayumu+ Proceed....be sure to keep a distinct distance...

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::looks at the time:: Enough time should have passed... +Blu+ Understood. Oh both counts. ::lifts off and departs the shuttle bay::

Rue Wydown -> Well there goes any ride I'd get. Oh well.

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::once out of the bay, she loosely follows Will's shuttle making sure they're well back::

STSF_BluRox -> Cardboard Christian> ::turns to Will:: I need to know where to head to. Eridas 3 or Kleros 2? And which of the spaceports on either a preference?

STSF_BluRox -> :: looks at Rue:: We have a transporter. We can join them after they get on the ground and make contact, or, you and I can stay up here and keep looking for that ship if it takes off or is hiding out here elsewhere.

LtCmdrRobinson -> I asked them already, they didn’t answer. ::looks back:: Hey guys, we are going towards Eridas 3, unless you want us to drop you off at Kleros 2. Speak now or forever be stuck on Eridas 3

 

STSF_BluRox -> We also have other ships...I happen to have a fast little one of my own you and I can take down....I just wanted to give you the option since you were off shift, and missed the team meeting last night

STSF_BluRox -> O'Malley> I know a really good club on Eridas...but ... :: looks to Giles to decide::

Rue Wydown -> Giles> Bernie perhaps there's a friend or two you can find there to put you up until you get on your feet. Didn't you used to date that purple chick?

Rue Wydown -> Rue> Transporter would be just fine. Would have much use for another ship down there. Besides, I could just connect up with Robinson and Christina if needed.

STSF_BluRox -> Bernie> Oh yea....she was fine too..... I'll have to look her up for sure. I bet she'd know who we could stay with for a bit too

STSF_BluRox -> Alright then. They plan to change into local garb after they see that our 'guests' are on their way, and ...move the shuttle to another location. I"m assuming they'll beam back to where they left them off, but will leav that up to Will and Christina to decide
