SUSS Republic Mission Briefing 5150824 - Season 23

 

The crew has identified what may be the raider ships that had attacked the ship earlier while attempting their rescue mission to get Kwai and the others back. The ship is attempting to approach without drawing attention to ourselves.

Rue Wydown -> ::has now learned the difference between the various buttons she shouldn't press (but probably will) and is now observing the crew trying to fly casual::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::follows the ship and keeps a safe distance, maintaining that fine line::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::on the bridge, plotting various strategies to blow up all the ships in the shortest amount of time::

Jas -> ::in sickbay doing sickbay type things::

 

Rue Wydown -> Well, let's see. There are reports of an overabundance of lightly darkened bread throughout the ship.

Ayumu Kasuga -> We're still on a pursuit course. It doesn't appear as if they've spotted us, or they simply don't care we're following them.

Heather Jamieson -> We are tracking the likely raider ships, keep a safe distance assuming their level of sensors.

August Jax Robinson -> ::Eyes dart to Will, who isn't even listening!::

Christina_Nickles -> :: in main security cleaning up the toast::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::listening but not his job to give a bridge report :P ::

STSF_BluRox -> ::turns to look at Wydown and rolls her eyes:: Turns to Kasuga and Jamieson, as they seem to be actually telling her something she needed to know

STSF_BluRox -> Have you identified any sort of base of operations that they are using? A planet, some sort of station?

LtCmdrRobinson -> They are keeping their flight path close to a number of planets and then flying on by, hard to pinpoint what their target is.

Rue Wydown -> ::shrugs slightly, guessing that drowning in breakfast food must be normal around here::

Heather Jamieson -> Not yet. My guess they are between destinations, or a more final destination.

Ayumu Kasuga -> That'd be my guess as well.

Jas -> ::puts away various medical supplies::

STSF_BluRox -> I don't want to lose them, make sure to maintain a lock on them

STSF_BluRox -> ::turns to Will:: I want you to head up a pair of ships to he ready to support us in surrounding them

Heather Jamieson -> Tickle the belly, but don't punch the face...

Rue Wydown -> How much further can a ship of that size travel before stopping for supplies? Is there a way to extrapolate where they're going by estimating how much further they can travel?

 

STSF_BluRox -> I'd like to see at least a viable team put together in case you need to go boots on the ground to go after them

STSF_BluRox -> ::nods over to Rue:: She's right, they've got to have way stops around here. Will, I'll leave it up to you to get your teams together

STSF_BluRox -> I would suggest Will, that you make a good grouping with you

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::nods:: I'll have two shuttles standing by, ready to roll.

STSF_BluRox -> And take along that new doctor, he's worked with some of them before and may be able to gain their trust

Rue Wydown -> ::starts to make a mental count of how many times she can get Blu admit that she might be right - knowing it might be few and far between considering her reputation::

STSF_BluRox -> I suppose Will, that you will be taking the armed ships?

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::makes necessary corrections in collaboration with Heather's data::

STSF_BluRox -> Will, just because you stock any shuttle you take with grenades, that does not count as armed....

Jas -> ::finishes putting away the supplies and moves on to run diagnostics of the biobeds' systems::

STSF_BluRox -> :: turns to Wydown:: You interested in heading out on this hunt with them?

Heather Jamieson -> :: Watching Kasuga make alterations in their flight path based on the sensor data she is sending her ::

Rue Wydown -> Are there explosives involved or are you just teasing me?

STSF_BluRox -> These animals killed quite a few colonists and people on our outer stations. I intend to see them stopped and made to answer for what they've done

STSF_BluRox -> We are going after the raider ships. As you've worked with some of these people at the compound, I was hoping you could provide some insight of where they'd go and how desperate they are

 

LtCmdrRobinson -> We shouldn’t need science on this one. Straightforward boarding party. If you need her, I won’t take her from you

STSF_BluRox -> And, you will also know their limitations Jas

STSF_BluRox -> Alright, she can help Ayumu here plot and track their movements

Ayumu Kasuga -> ...in addition to seeing lots of things go boom.

ACTION: Computer notes that the Republic has reached the limit of the raider ships long sensors and needs to hold position for now

Jas -> ::nods along:: I'll do my best, although I didn't spend long in their midst... mostly hiding and getting away from them.

STSF_BluRox -> It will do, but if this gets to be a ground mission, there is the chance that someone might be injured and you'll be needed as well

Rue Wydown -> You might be amazed in how much that information will help.

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::checks sensors, and maintains position:: We've reached the outer limits of the raider ship's scanning range, and will need to maintain position here to avoid being detected.

 

Heather Jamieson -> Kasuga... we need to slow down

LtCmdrRobinson -> Are they slowing down or changing course? We shouldn’t have caught up.

Ayumu Kasuga -> I'm not sure at this point.

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::checks over sensor logs for the last encounter with the ships:: Well they dont have any blind spots for a good approach.

Rue Wydown -> Is there any inhabitable areas that could possibly be their base nearby?

August Jax Robinson -> ::Scans for power that a base would generate::

STSF_BluRox -> Very good, looks like we have a plan then

Heather Jamieson -> None nearby, but the base could be concealed.

LtCmdrRobinson -> Ships are small enough they could hide/land anywhere, small asteroids even.
