USS Manticore, 8/24/15

=/\= USS MANTICORE BRIEFING #871, STARDATE 51508.24 =/\=

The Manticore has just defeated a group of mercenaries, led

by a former Black Ops commander and A9's old mentor, Ben

Harris. Harris had been abandoned by Starfleet and left to die

more than a decade ago and he was looking for revenge. A9

was able to talk Harris out of a terrible plot to destroy Earth,

after they both realized it was truly the plan of his second, a

bitter, twisted man called Xavier. Harris freed the Manticore

crew and we subdued the mercs and killed Xavier. The mercs

were told to leave the sector and never bother the Federation

again. In the scrum of their departure, A9 gave Harris a shuttle

from the mercs' ship and told him to run or face unfair treason

charges. The crew and ship are now safe, but some feel that A9

went too far in his leniency with the head of a group set to

destroy the Federation as well as a planet of billions of people.
