What to do...

It's been discused, and now brought to light.  The post markers gone, yes lets cry.

 

Now...move to the present...yea...what should we do with it?  Now before this gets locked, or removed, I know that this isnt the most important thing in life, or to Vanroy, his upper lip.  I'm just asking for sugestion with what could be improved on our message posting its self.  (I.E. Bigger avatars)

 

I myself believe that we should be able to add more info on the left side.  If not age location, our interests, and hobbys.

 

I always see some one talk about something, and go:  "They like B5, or go "They do that?"

That's why there is a button at the bottom of each post for PROFILE.  Just go there and add what you want about yourself.  I think the left side is busy enough with Avatar and title and join date and group membership, yes?

Actually the most important thing to my upper lip is making sure I have a Kleenex when I sneeze.  And as I've said before I'm not a web designer, but it seems to me that if the Custom Titles are managable then something else in the post count field would be manageable as well - especially if limits are set when creating the field, maybe saying something like "Whatever you have me put here today will not be changed, ever.  So make sure it's right."

 

Like the existence of the post count wasn't the most important thing to me neither is this.  But it would be cool.

Anyway you can see anyone's post count by clicking their name at the bottom of the Main Message Boards Page (say that 3 times fast). So, who needs it at the left of the screen when it's automatically there on EACH AND EVERY profile.  ;)

Im finding it confusing that your so against us chating about this.  It's not like we're going to stage a revolt or anything, some of us would just like to hear what people think could be done.

Oh we stopped the planning for the revolt you guys could've let me know. Atragon why can't you let us talk about it just giving ideas incase in the future you want to add something you can get a good idea here. No one has asked anyone to do something right away and as I heard someone say before just chilax. ;)

Perhaps I'm missing something but I don't recall seeing that in his response. I do know he suggested discussion about the post counts removal end, but I do not believe he said anything about ending discussion on possible alernative uses for that area.

This is just a suggestion, but, if the board was to be upgraded, if any need arised, could you like, put Startrek.com's logo all over the place? Or STSF's? We can't have too much logos!!  ;)  

 

I'm just kidding, but I think it should be just left how it is. It's just fine for me. And for most other people, it's just fine for them too. 'Course there are those people ::gives "the look" to those people:: who always want change. Now. People just got to realize that even though technology changes every day, it takes a long while for the real world to catch up. So, people, don't be a changling. Be a stayputer.

 

By the way, the logo suggestion was an example of a person who always want's change.

Let me clarify...when I say updates I'm not referring to the "message boards" per say. There is a list of things that have been nagging to get done for awhile and hopefully will be complete in the near future. Examples include new sections of the site, redesign of several areas, etc. May there may minor changes to the boards? I haven't a clue...wrong person to ask. However, in that regard, the old saying "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies. ;)

One last time, shall I?  I never said "Don't discuss it."  All I did (many times now, eh?) is to tell you my opinion and to suggest that, since this is very low on the STSF priority list, you might as well forget about it changing.
