USS Republic Mission Briefing 51508.03

With Kwai shipped off to Starfleet Medical, the crew has been sent a temporary replacement for First Officer in the person of Commander Rue Wydown. As the task force has taken over dealing with those on the planet below, the Republic's mission is to find those small attack ships, which had been raiding small colony worlds, outposts and even an attack against the Republic. We cannot allow their raiding and the transformation of even more unsuspecting innocents.

Rue Wydown -> Where did they originate out of? Can you tell?

Heather Jamieson -> :: Check the raider ship flight patterns and that of other ships in this sector ::

STSF_BluRox -> They originally approached us from the far side of the planet. we found the underground hanger base that they had launched from. We're estimating that perhaps as many as a dozen were in the original fleet by the size of the hanger and the equipment lines we saw there

STSF_BluRox -> However we did destroy 2 when they tried a sneak attack on us, disguised as a supply run from below.

Jas -> ::goes about reorganizing medical supplies::Rue Wydown -> So that means there's what...10 on the loose? Or is my math off?

STSF_BluRox -> We don't know how many survived earlier attacks on other sites and ships. Just saying that we had seen the set ups for about a dozen.

STSF_BluRox -> +Jax+ What's the status of that holodeck? Holly will be coming back online shortly, and I'd rather not have her all ticked off at the moment

Rue Wydown -> Gotcha. ::blinks at the spaghetti on the screen:: Ms Jamieson, can you narrow down the flight signatures of our three wayward ships and clear off what might be just local traffic? Or Fed traffic?

 

Heather Jamieson -> Yes I can.. :: the map clears up a bit ::

Heather Jamieson -> The further in time we go the less reliable the paths get.

STSF_BluRox -> +Jas+ I have a small project for you. I'd like you to get some samples from LtCdr Robinson, and find out why he, when injected, was immune this time to any of this mutation mess.

Heather Jamieson -> The larger of the two belts is better for larger bases, if they have those, but the smaller of the belts contains ores that makes our scans difficult.

Rue Wydown -> So that's great for hiding, but they'll have to find something to sustain them because you lot have been here a while, yes? Any way to use long range probes to scan for energy signals or warp trails?
