Assistant Engineer's Log

Lieutenant, Junior Grade, Hewitt Demore

Assistant Engineer's Log

Stardate 50309.19

Sky Harbor Aegis

Demore was standing on the overhead platform, watching Zertz work on Docking Pylon 16, which was badly damaged during the evacuation from Cardassia. With guidance from Brex, Zertz has been working flawlessly around the docking area. Demore was stepping in and out, occasionally checking up on things. From what he saw, the two engineers made a good team together.

Hewitt had also been wandering around Engineering from time to time. The space had been virtually empty to him with the loss of GromVik around the place. But, even without him at the bottom of the station, things continued like normal... for most people. GromVik had been a mentor to Hewitt, and would be greatly missed.

Demore had also been checking up on the hearing. In his mind, it was nearing an end. But, he wasn't completely sure. Mogg didn't leave a good impression to Demore when they first met (on the bridge of the USS Pandora's Box) and, in the back of his head, Demore hoped Mogg would loose the case. Demore didn't want him kicked out of Starfleet - of course not. But, in Demore's eyes, Mogg needed a reality flash to get him back on track as a prominate Starfleet officer.

But all in all, the station was running normally. Demore smirked. Actually, it probably couldn't get any better. The station was coming back together, and was gradually regaining usefullness in the Cardassian sector. Since the station was moved away from Cardassia Prime, it probably won't be getting as much traffic in and around it. But, the station can handle whatever was thrown at it; Demore knew of that.
