USS REPUBLIC MISSION BRIEFING 51505.04 - Season 23

 

Will's away team had returned with one of J'Rom's assistants, a Dr Hentrick, who claimed to have knowledge of the transformations and expressed his own desire to attempt a reversal. He’s confessed that there were many mistakes along the way, which J’Rom was trying to perfect a special formula for a select few, and in his haste to create a vast army to protect himself, had fell back to his former procedure. Many of those on the planet if there were transporter records, or complete medical files, could indeed be returned to normal. Those that there would be difficulty, where the lizards to an extent, as he wanted those scientists to retain their knowledge and wit, and the fierce wasps guards. Then there was the Queen……. A deadly, deadly Queen, which the science team had just let loose in Holodeck 2….. In a mockup of the awful caves she had been kidnapped and held prisoner in…………. What could go wrong?

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::panicking because of her environment, running from one corridor to another::

Ayumu Kasuga -> Why'd they do that? :: monitors readings from the holodeck::

STSF_BluRox -> Dr Hentrick> Don't you understand.....she's deadly. She's a killer...... we need to run.... get off this ship

Dr Hentrick> You can't save her....all you can do is hope to kill her!

LtCmdrRobinson -> She is my Captain, so we have to change her back. And there are multiple force fields between her and you.

August Jax Robinson -> ::Outside the Holodeck::

LtCmdrRobinson -> We have changed her back once before, so its not unheard of.

Dr Hentrick> That was before..it was a simple DNA reversal...J'Rom, he's mutated her dna, her rna, all of it

Dr Hentrick> he used the worst of the worst, the meanest, deadliest. She’s cunning, she'll figure out a way to kill us all!!!

 

Capt Rian Kwai -> LET ME OUT! ::screaming to the walls, angry, afraid and panicked::

LtCmdrRobinson -> While I wish my wife ::glares at her:: hadn’t moved her, she isn’t going anywhere. Other than the redundant force fields, if she breaks out, we'll simply beam her into space. its not an issue, really.

STSF_BluRox -> Dr Hentrick> I'm a scientist, not a hunter.......you catch her, you bring her to the lab, and I can help you put her down, that's about all you've got

STSF_BluRox -> Dr Hentrick> See...if it's not really an issue, then flood the place with poison and kill her now!

STSF_BluRox -> (Heather, if you are in Holodeck, you've made it into a series of tunnels and caves, there is no intercom to speak into, just can call down the echoing corridors)

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::looks back at August:: And YOU. Please do not move any prisoners next time without running it by me. We had her in that location for a reason. It was the safest.

 

ACTION: As Rian yells out, the holodeck arch momentarily showed itself, then went back to the cave projection

 

LtCmdrRobinson -> Well Doc, if you dont want to help us, then we will have to return you to holding. Unfortunatly the only holding cell we have available is right here in front of us, with the Queen.

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::confused, saw the arch, trying to figure out how that fits into this::

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> Ayumu, can you go down and find out what the blazes they're doing down there? Have they started testing the reversal on any of those affected yet down in sickbay, and I want a report when you come back on the Kwai issue.

Christina_Nickles -> We can’t believe that. She was able to overcome this before from my understanding. She has a good kind mind. I’m betting she can overcome it again. You have to try..

 

ACTION> As Kwai yells at the doorway, the arch again appears and the door opens suddenly to the surprise of small group standing outside of it.

 

STSF_BluRox -> Through the door, is seen a lush tropical jungle setting.....

STSF_BluRox -> Dr Hentrick> I believe we can help at least half to 2/3 of the victims, many though, will be unretrievable
