RES TALON MISSION BRIEFING 051502.12 - Season 20

 

Safe (for the moment) from the factions that seek to overthrow the Empire from within, the command crew of the Talon gathers to discuss their next course of action. Their Enarrain has secret information that might enlighten them to their current situation, but may very well throw them further into the path of danger. With her clues and t'Mahren's Federation contacts, they may just see their families safe once again... if they make it through the next few days alive.

Lerak trPexil -> :: Sitting down at the now cleared dinner table, drinking water. He was feeling better, but still not firing on all thrusters ::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: looks over to Laehval, then walks over towards where the others are sitting::

tAehjae -> :: sitting awaiting tRexan's return from her chat with tTemarr::

KhreRiovtRex -> Fhaen, if au qiuu could come sit for a few siuren......I wish to talk to au about what I suspect is going on

Lerak trPexil -> :: Pexil looked up to see t'Rex approach, but he was invested in his own thoughts, if only for a moment ::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Seated on the stairs, arms resting on her knees, she waited for t'Rexan to begin.::

KhreRiovtRex -> Alright, we all know that things have been very tense the last couple of years, lots of political upheaval and unseen dealings.

M_K_tKsa -> ::playing with what's left of her braid after her new, updated and more civilianized look - which she has luckily not seen yet in the mirror because if she did....::

Koga S'Bien -> ::Looks up and listens, drinking another glass of tea::

KhreRiovtRex -> We know that even our own crew has been tied up in this, unintentionally on our part to be sure, but firmly involved to be sure.

tAehjae -> :: looks around at the others and smiles when she looks to tKsa and admires her new hairdo thinking it looks great even if she does say so herself::

KhreRiovtRex -> We all know that since the incident with the nanogenes, and tKsa's unheard of healing techniques, I've been a matter of contention for many of our people, and....an excuse for some to cause political unrest...all in the name of saving the Empire. As au all know from first hand dealing with me.....I evidently am the scourge of the Empire.....as evidenced by my planning to settle down, raise a family and retire:: scoffs at the notion::

KhreRiovtRex -> tKsa's own kidnapping also a part of their plan, learn what they may, and make their own self healing army ie?

KhreRiovtRex -> Luckily she was unable to share the nanogene technology with them. and even further back, if au all remember, back to the arms dealing, where we had to go after some of our own, dealing arms to other races, I'm sure tMahren can bring us up to speed with that shortly.

KhreRiovtRex -> What I am about to tell au, would normally have me pulled in by the Tal Shiar for inciting rumors against our government, but somehow, I think we're all beyond that at the siuren

KhreRiovtRex -> Before I go too far, is there anyone here that would prefer to leave and rejoin their families, and na get in too deep?

KhreRiovtRex -> Because there may be na way out of this? I will na hold this against any io of au, that wish to go their own way.

KhreRiovtRex -> For most of us, no. However, some of our junior officers, might be able to blend into the public... as disrupted as it is, an start new. I'm sure that au tMahren, could create some very convincing official identification papers for anyone that wished to go.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Casts a wandering eye upon the others, searching for signs of reluctance.::

KhreRiovtRex -> What I'm saying is, that if au remain with the group, or with a few of us specifically, looks at Laehval, t'Mahren, tKsa and Koga.....we are too notable, too easily spotted.

Lerak trPexil -> :: Simple Pexil.. He was deep, he knew it... or not ::

KhreRiovtRex -> As au know, we've had several run ins in our history on the Talon with tr'Vren of the Tal Shiar and tr'Merk the Fvillah's Pro Counsul. if they had their way, I'd be dead or in chains....lost in v'rykly prison or worse. I already lost an eye to that pair.

KhreRiovtRex -> When I was home with my child, I heard much from Var'lon :: clears throat: Sorry, the Daise'Khre'Riov...oh enough of that, au know who he is....

tAehjae -> I have been loyal to au thus far and will na cease now rekkhai

KhreRiovtRex -> There had been increasing pressure by trVren and trMerk in their meetings with the Fvillah to turn over more of the Empire's protection to the Tal Shiar, and to give much more power to the Othan Colonies, as they were rich in resources and basically were funding much of the Empires rebuilding after the Dominion War losses

Koga S'Bien -> ::Rubs chin::

KhreRiovtRex -> They had been pressing for more control in the Senate, and for actual control of much of Galae. Var'lon and Galae strongly opposed and when his ships noted the Othan fleets ranging further and further afield, making their own alliances and au even evidenced their cowardly attack on the Talon and Terronix at Dumakazen....

KhreRiovtRex -> Anyway, it came, and I'm sure it was due to whispers in his ear, that Var'lon's loyalty was being questions, even though he had always supported the Fvillah. Var'lon finally got out of him that indeed he had been swayed to see if he would position the fleet where he wanted, or where tr'Vren and the Fvillah wanted. When he did what he wanted, they again tested him..this time revoking my retirement, and trying to get Var'lon to attack the Fvillah. instead, au all remember our departure, and Var'lon's ability to turn it into a plus.

tAehjae -> :: nods::

KhreRiovtRex -> However when we were recently joined by the Terronix, they had given me a message, that things were grave at Homeworld and they feared a coup or civil war, that the Fvillah and Var'lon both removed. Word must have come to them as we all saw Terronix's rapid departure with no message. Var'lon was in trouble without his ship or crew and they responded.

KhreRiovtRex -> This is why I sent the Stinger away to hide it. So, we are but pawns in others attempts to take over the Empire and they plan to blame some of it on us. That they must purge us from causing further issues.

Laehval tTemarr -> It is a pity, then, that they do na know us well, at all.

KhreRiovtRex -> I've also had word that some of our forces have taken refuge at Dumokazen. I can only hope they are still safe there.

KhreRiovtRex -> I do fear for au families, I know Var'lon had a plan to notify them in case something like this were to happen. I can na guarantee that any of them had time, or were reached, but I do hope so and that they believed and were faithful to au.

KhreRiovtRex -> t'Mahren, if au could shed some light as well from au contacts?

KhreRiovtRex -> :: sees that she is still trying to call up some data so turns back to the others::

Laehval tTemarr -> Was there na contingency in place to ensure tr'Vatrix's safety? Did au never make plans with him on how or when to meet should this very situation arise?

M_K_tKsa -> ::pinches the bridge of her nose:: Or how to contact him if/when something occurred?

KhreRiovtRex -> We had some plans, however those were mad when we thought I'd be on the homeworld with my family, we had but hours once we found I was being sent back to Talon. But it concerns me that our orbital station was taken so easily. that was a waypoint so have no assurance.

KhreRiovtRex -> We do have some fall back locations, but I will have to find out if they have been compromised. The signal I expected on the orbital station was na there, which has greatly concerned me.

KhreRiovtRex -> Now, I know I scoffed before when some of au spoke of going to check out and doing some scouting and check on families. Au can na go to families until au know for sure it is safe

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> Quite suddenly, the front door chimed. Internal sensors showed two individuals waiting patiently at the front door for entry.

KhreRiovtRex -> :: pulls ieyakk, and motions others to do the same, taking cover if needed:

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval had a hand on her disruptor the moment the chimes rang, leveled at the door and waiting.::

EvietMahren -> ::looking warily at Morgana and Laeh::

KhreRiovtRex -> Laehval, I though au said nobody would be in this area this time of year?

tAehjae -> ::looks to the door then moves to b behind the individuals if they enter::

Laehval tTemarr -> Na mine, but I would surmise that t'Mahren has some idea of who they might be.

tAehjae -> :: standing behind the door listening being ready in case this goes bad::

EvietMahren -> ::beyond her, two Romulans are visible -- one a tall male with typically dark hair in a severe cut, the other a female with slightly longer dark hair::

EvietMahren -> Male Guest> ::smirking himself:: Too late for tea, then?

Koga S'Bien -> ::Looks at the video feed::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: sees tMahren lower her weapon, and hopes she can trust the woman still, hoping that she hadn't also betrayed Var'lon and his trust, but it would be entirely unlike the woman to do something like that.

KhreRiovtRex -> Perhaps, au should ask them in Evie.........

EvietMahren -> ::looks to the new arrivals, stepping aside and sweeping them in, bowing with a widening smirk::

M_K_tKsa -> ::watching the tension in the room, since whomever it is rang the bell, she assumed there was na the threat that everyone else treated it to be. Since when does the Tal Shiar ring a doorbell anyway?::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She lowered her disruptor and stood, walking down the steps to the main floor.:: Ie, welcome them in. I, for io, would like to have a conversation with them about our proximity sensors. ::A bit irritated that the visitors managed to disrupt or sneak past them. Then again, that was likely their specialty.::
