Chirakis -> Scientific survey probes sent to investigate the nebula are transmitting data.

Chirakis -> The Horta's home world is located along the path that the Pakleds took through the nebula.

Chirakis -> A scientific probe has closed in on the planet for investigation.

Chirakis -> For reasons unknown, the nebula seems to have become a popular starship route.

Kallah Ramson -> ::entering the CnC via to TL::

Fletcher Jackson -> ::munching a sandwich, well away from the TAC console while Ens Lackey takes over:::

Dacia Sandero -> ::sipping her tea and monitors the Horta's biosigns::

Jylliene -> The probe is in stable orbit.

Kallah Ramson -> ::moves over to by the holodisplay::

Wes Roberts -> ::lunch with Mai::

Fletcher Jackson -> ::swallows hard::

Jylliene -> ::Overlays display with the datastream::

Kallah Ramson -> Anything of interest yet?

Jylliene -> You can see the incoming data - it's displaying the usual scientific scans on the planetary surface.

Wes Roberts -> (edit: working lunch, has a padd with the tactical display running::)

Fletcher Jackson -> ::resumes his position at TAC:::

Annisha -> :: Eating her sandwich with Alexis ::

Jylliene -> Still processing. It's definitely an intriguing planet; there are some deposits that could make for good mining potential if it weren't for the dubious location.

Jylliene -> That could be a reason for offloading, or perhaps what we're reading IS what's been dumped.

Scott Coleridge -> ::in engineering, reviewing the update from the engineers who got assigned to emergency turbolift maintenance::

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Were they carrying ore also found on that planet?

Jylliene -> That much is harder to tell at this point; further processing should give us some information about whether these are raw, natural-seeming deposits or if things look like a site where there has been targeted deposit of foreign matter.

Chirakis -> @ ::with Ltn Kapar as he continues sorting through the data from the Vladivostok.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> :: Looks at a display :: Hmm, my contact in science has gone silent.

Fletcher Jackson -> ::finds an alternative to the main TAC overlay and shifts it to another screen:::

mimipavilion -> ::also looking over some information on the Horta::

Nijil tr'Korjata -> The probe exploring the nebula is still there in there.. will exit in 20 minutes.

Kallah Ramson -> ::looking through the data:: No life signs detected but we're not penetrating very deeply.

Annisha -> :: at school :: We sure do a lot of eating... :: nom nom ::

Jylliene -> Further scans should bring up a bit more information.

Alexis McFarland -> We've got growing bodies ::nom nom nom::

Chirakis -> Horta> ::being a new mother::

Jylliene -> Put it together, see if the deposits are just deposits or are deliberate structures, if you will

Annisha -> Yeah :: nom :: This fish sandwich is good.. I think it's called Toona.

Kallah Ramson -> The planet has collected a lot of the nebula gas into it's atmosphere. Can we compensate anymore for the scattering effect?

Nijil tr'Korjata -> I'm suddenly hungry. Probe watching does that I suppose.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> :: Looks to Ramson :: More scans will filter out the noise.

Alexis McFarland -> A bit dry? I have bacon sandwich

Jylliene -> Science is doing some filtering, but yes, continued scans will allow a bit more of that.

Annisha -> Not that I can tell....

Kallah Ramson -> ::nods::

Annisha -> Bacon? Pork Mister Cuddles...

Alexis McFarland -> Yes

Dacia Sandero -> ::watches the Horta's egg::

Kallah Ramson -> ::turns to Nijil:: And how visible is our probe if someone was on the surface scanning outward?

mimipavilion -> ::finishes up her lunch, closing the information and heads into main sickbay where the Horta is at::

Alexis McFarland -> Funny.

Annisha -> I need to write that down...:: she gets out her PADD and writes her latest masterpiece inside ::

Annisha -> Do they have a name for the baby rock yet?

mimipavilion -> ::approaches Dacia:: How's our patients?

Dacia Sandero -> Baby and mother are doing well.

mimipavilion -> Good.

Alexis McFarland -> ::Leans on Annisha:: No. Not yet.

Annisha -> How about Nhaih?

Chirakis -> Horta> ::cuddling her egg::

Alexis McFarland -> What does that mean? And is that for the mother or the baby?

Annisha -> Oh, I know Irrhae'nhaih

Dacia Sandero -> Yes, she certainly has a good maternal instinct

Nijil tr'Korjata -> If paranoid.. Rihans :: gave her a 'yeah, I know' look :: right away.

Fletcher Jackson -> ::looks to Commander Ramson::

Annisha -> What does rock taste like?

Fletcher Jackson -> Commander Ramson, ma'am?

Kallah Ramson -> ::turns to Jackson:: Yes?

Alexis McFarland -> I don't know. I never tried to eat a rock before.

Dacia Sandero -> Hm. From what I read, it is a long time.

Fletcher Jackson -> I'm getting a tactical alert from a strange area of space, ma'am. It says that the USS Vladivostok may be under control of someone other than Starfleet.

Annisha -> :: Runs to the grassy outside of the school and then found the rock garden near by.. bent down to lick the rock, contorted her face ::

Annisha -> :: runs back and sits down :: Not good Alexis...not good.

Kallah Ramson -> ::blink:: Can you authenticate the source?

Fletcher Jackson -> Well, ma'am, that's a little bit of a problem.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> :: Listens ::

Fletcher Jackson -> The proper ID is verified, but it's bouncing around from one place to another...

Alexis McFarland -> ::giggles::

Fletcher Jackson -> The origin seems to be somewhere between Romulan and Ferengi space.

Fletcher Jackson -> But it's hard to pinpoint.

Kallah Ramson -> Where is the Vladivostok?

Fletcher Jackson -> And the verification ID is... Captain Chirakis?

Fletcher Jackson -> No idea, ma'am.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Probes are not out that far.

Fletcher Jackson -> It

Kallah Ramson -> ::Fletcher:: Track down it's last known location.

Annisha -> Perhaps your aunt can ask it.

Fletcher Jackson -> Aye, Commander.

Fletcher Jackson -> ::gets to work:::

Kallah Ramson -> ::pondering, returns attention to the probe::

Kallah Ramson -> Allow the probe to do a standard planetary scan. Then, have it move off to a new survey point.

Alexis McFarland -> ::telepathically asks Dacia:: Hmm. ::waits a bit:: The Horta can't describe how a rock tastes.

Kallah Ramson -> I want an option though to somehow keep a tab on this planet without being spotted.

Annisha -> Are you thinking to her? They can't...

Alexis McFarland -> Who can't what?

Fletcher Jackson -> ::::turns to Commander Ramson::: Ma'am?

Kallah Ramson -> ::tapping into her console a query for Mr Roberts location::

Kallah Ramson -> Yes?

Annisha -> Can't tell us how it tastes

Fletcher Jackson -> USS Vladivostok's last transmission came from the outskirts of nebula 236A, and that was six days ago.

Fletcher Jackson -> Nothing from them since.

Jylliene -> With the background noise, just as it hinders us, it also hinders them. We don't need something as well-hidden as we would outside the nebula, but a cloak of some kind would still help, whether a true cloak or just taking maximum advantage of the nature of the nebula.

Fletcher Jackson -> They were investigating a strange signal within the nebula, one that was not consistent with their last visit.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> We could have the probe maintain a higher orbit and make it go along the magnetic poles

Alexis McFarland -> No.

Chirakis -> @ ::in discussion with Riov t'Aldani and Admiral Mullins::

mimipavilion -> ::turns and goes back to her office to do some paperwork, until something more exciting happens::

Kallah Ramson -> No signal from them since? ::more pondering::

Fletcher Jackson -> No, ma'am.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Oh, the nebula probe is coming out of the nebula.. will transmit back to us shortly

Kallah Ramson -> ::distracted a moment in thought then turns to Nijil:: When did it break orbit?

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Different probe Captain.

Jylliene -> ((Name the probes. Bob is in orbit. Eugene is emerging. How many others do we have, two?))

Chirakis -> (I believe there were 4 in total.)

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Probe-E is transmitting...

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Shall I redirect?

Jylliene -> ((Bill and Ted are on an excellent non-nebular adventure))

Annisha -> Well, I'm done. Where to next?

Nijil tr'Korjata -> (( I heard it's a real gas ))

Kallah Ramson -> With the data we'll have once the first probe completes it's survey, can you bring the second in undetected?

Alexis McFarland -> Uhh... I don't know. What do you want to do?

Chirakis -> Horta> ::contented Horta is content:::

Alexis McFarland -> It's nice to have a day off from school.

Nijil tr'Korjata -> I can direct it to a polar vector.. The initial survey probe-e will need to be analysed anyhow.

Dacia Sandero -> ::tidies things up in the sickbay, noting the Horta's contentment::

Nijil tr'Korjata -> :: On screen, probe-e starts its approach vector ::

Kallah Ramson -> Let the first finish it's survey and move on as if it noticed nothing...which so far it has. ::folds arms, looking at the data::

Kallah Ramson -> Then move the second in. Park it out of sight. I want it collect data for 48 hours running as silent as possible. Then have it transmit that data to us.

Kallah Ramson -> ::looks from Nijil to Jyl:: Make it happen.

Jylliene -> Yes ma'am

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Understood

Jylliene -> ::starts making it happen::

Nijil tr'Korjata -> Jy, the probe will make a slower approach as it diagnoses the damage the nebula may have had.

Annisha -> How about a run in the park?

Kallah Ramson -> ::steps over to Fletcher:: Send all data on the Vladivostok to my office and inform Mr Roberts of the signal we received.

Annisha -> I can try out my boomerang

Fletcher Jackson -> Yes, ma'am. :::sends::

Jylliene -> Second one is going to come in on that polar orbit, as you mentioned. See if that altitude looks right for it?

Alexis McFarland -> ::smiles:: Sure. Sounds fun

Jylliene -> That should keep it fairly difficult to detect without really knowing to look for it and where.
