Is the doctor in?

Andrea Knlwtchr took in and released a long breath as she stepped off the shuttle.  She looked back at the helmsman of the pod who just nodded in return.

 

"Just over that pass, right?"

 

The helmsman just smiled.  "You will be fine, Ensign.  They were expecting you.  Captain Moose was informed of your assignment before they started this mission.  Just watch out for stray phaser fire."

 

Andrea's eyes widened as she stood poised before the door of the shuttle.  "You know?  I think I should wait for the Captain to return.  Im not so sure that Im ready for..."

 

"Relax, Ensign.  I was just kidding.  Its the middle of the day.  Im positive you will be fine.  Our second in command is just over that hill."

 

The new counselor released a breath and straightened her uniform.  She turned and watched as the doors of the shuttle closed.  Andrea stepped back alittle and watched her last chance for "surviving" this catastrophy raise slowly, turn, and glide easily back towards her new home.

 

Now alone, the weary ensign started for the Second Officer and her team's last known coordinates.  As she reached the peak of the hill, she could see three Starfleet officers conversing and passing a tricorder back and forth.  Andrea knew there was no turning back, especially after one of them had spotted her and was waving her over.

 

Andrea let out an internal "doh!" and continued towards the group.  Well, she thought, I guess the doctor is in.
