USS Challenger 01.04.2015

Cptn Ja'Lale -> Last week, the Challenger was bailed out by a Klingon bird of prey which ultimately dealt the final destructive blows to the SS Fort Erie, the terrorist ship that had attacked the CHallenger. LAst we left off, the Klingon ship went back to Klingon space and the Challenger was being towed back to SB 179 by a Federation ship that responded to our distress call. TBS was a few hours, I believe.

Cmdr Rinax -> ::on bridge:: Captain, is the crew going to be given shoreleave while Challenger has repairs at SB 179?

Cptn Ja'Lale -> Yes, that is correct. I hope you're feeling better, Commander.

Cmdr Rinax -> Getting there, Captain. The doctor has good remedies.

Dyan Sylvanis -> ::Checking in on Cass.::

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ACTION: As Hunter mentioned, we were docked last week.

Cassie Granger -> ::has moved into her quarters from Boon Medical Center::

Cmdr Rinax -> I have a large list of requests to disembark, Captain. Do you have any reservations for who can and who cannot go?

Cmdr Rinax -> I"m going to hang around... I'm still nursing on the meds the doc gave me.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ::Rinax:: Just the basic skeleton crew. We're undergoing major repairs as well as some refits. So, Engineering might want to have more people to show the repair crews around and oversee the repair process.

Anastasia Poldara -> ::on the bridge, just finishing up some reports before she gets ready for shore leave::

Cmdr Rinax -> Yeah, I saw a ton of parts being shipped over, and a lot of techs coming on board.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ::nods:: Might as well get our refits done, while we still resemble a block of swiss cheese

Cassie Granger -> Gave Doctor Hanson something to do for a while. ::reaches for her own drink that she's been nursing for a while:::

Cptn Ja'Lale -> +Shipwide+ Attention, all persons with scheduled shoreleave may now take their liberties on the station. Any department chiefs requesting supplies, may submit their requisition lists to the quartermaster for review.

Hunter Matheson -> :running down the duty roster, finds his name and mutters:::

Dyan Sylvanis -> Yeah gave people quite the scare.

Cassie Granger -> Sorry 'bout that. ::shifting a little uncomfortably, she gives a sigh:: How are things aboard otherwise?

Hunter Matheson -> ::reports to the OD:::

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ACTION: Repair/upgrade technicians pour into the ship from the station.

Anastasia Poldara -> Oh, yes, supply list.

Cmdr Rinax -> Oh my word, Captain... so far, 44 techs have checked in and boarded Challenger. It's practically an invasion!

Anastasia Poldara -> ::has run out of ursine gelatin creatures::

Hunter Matheson -> ::snaps a salute:: Sir! Gunnery Sergeant Matheson, taking first watch, Sir.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> Wow. We must be getting one heck of an upgrade.

Cmdr Rinax -> ((LOL Anastasia, maybe we could get you more from those capsules that you drop into water and grow?))

Hunter Matheson -> Maj Johnson> First watch, Gunny. Carry on.

Hunter Matheson -> ::moves to his watch station, logging in:::

Dyan Sylvanis -> Quiet now that we're back on station. They have a skeleton crew running for repairs.

Cassie Granger -> ::slow nod, sipping her juice:: How bad is she? She took quite a beating from Erie.

Cassie Granger -> And while we're at it, how did Shadow Squadron do?

Dyan Sylvanis -> ::Nods.:: It's actually quite embarrassing. One of the top of the line ships in Starfleet getting our butts handed to us by a freighter...

Dyan Sylvanis -> Shadow is fine. We all made it back.

Cassie Granger -> ::lets out a sigh of relief:::

Dyan Sylvanis -> Couple messed up birds, but otherwise we're good.

Cassie Granger -> ::nod:: If it's any consolation, Lieutenant, what we came up against wasn't supposed to be there.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ::goes over the list of upgrades:: Seems we'll be getting quite a bit of upgrades here; shields, engines and some new counter-cloak technology.

Cassie Granger -> ::her slate pings, and she looks over, then silences it:::

Cptn Ja'Lale -> It seems our progress with cloaking technology has been going well, and some of it will be implemented on other ships.

Cassie Granger -> ::with a quick press, she forwards her new orders to Cptn Ja'Lale:::

Cmdr Rinax -> ::slight smile:: That sounds great Captain, we'll have fun with that!

Cassie Granger -> So the birds are good, you're good, and the ship is under repair. ::sets down her juice container:::

Dyan Sylvanis -> Yeah well, it's even worse when a Klingon ship show up and with one shot finishes them off, when it took everything we had just to scratch it.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> ::Reads the notes from Cas::

Dyan Sylvanis -> ::Nods.:: Yeah. I heard there's some upgrades being installed. Not sure how long they think it will be.

Cassie Granger -> ::wan smile:: Klingon technology is eons beyond ours. Don't let it bother you, just be glad we're on the same side.

Hunter Matheson -> ::checking his side arm, verifying its status and the position of the others, he begins his rounds:::

Cassie Granger -> Let's hope they are substantial.

Hunter Matheson -> ::first stop, the armory, making sure everything is in order:::

Cmdr Rinax -> ::returns the PADD to Ja'Lale:: Wow... now that never crossed my mind.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> Makes two of us.

Cassie Granger -> ::turns to Dyan:: Hungry? They have a great burger place on the next level.

Dyan Sylvanis -> ::Nods.:: I see. ::Stands.:: Well I there was talk of some of us getting together later for food. You're more than welcome to join us. I'm sure everyone would be glad to see you are alright.

Cptn Ja'Lale -> I see. Same here. I also plan to send over our findings to Starfleet. The Klingons really did save our bacon. Maybe there's hope for peaceful relations between us, yet.
