USS REPUBLIC MISSION BRIEFING 51412.08 - SEASON 23 HOLES AND HOBOS.........

The crew while exploring the caves to find out what happened to the missing colonists as well as to their own Captain Kwai, have in their passage, had a bedraggled (hobo) appearing young man in a fleet cadet uniform run into them, and he's warning and updating them on what's occurred as far as he knew.....

STSF_BluRox -> :: on ship awaiting another update from the away team and studying over the maps of the other colony worlds that had missing colonists. there had to be a concoction::takes another sip of cocoa and decides she needs more marshmallows......because...how can one be relaxed without enough marshmallow in the cocoa

Jas -> @ ::walking in the middle of group, slightly nervous at returning to the maze of caverns:: ...and so all these creatures forced us to retreat into the caves, I got separated from the other scientists though.

ACTION:: SOME SORT OF DRAGGING OF HEAVY ITEMS IS HEARD DOWN ONE OF THE SIDE TUNNELS THEY PASS....

ACTION: The passage opens out into a small cavern, filled with large metallic crates many stamped with the id of the colony, yet others with id numbers and names from some of the other planets that also had missing personnel

 

Jas -> @ ::briefly pauses for a moment, looks around and picks up a hefty rock:: This'll just have to do...

ACTION: The scrapping is getting louder, as if it's coming towards them...

Jas -> @ ::grip tightens on rock while scanning surroundings for any danger:: ::takes cover behind a crate::

ACTION: As they watch the entrance across the way, they see a large metal crate being pushed into the cavern, but have yet to glimpse just who is pushing it!

 

Jas -> @ ::stays hidden, peeking through a small gap between two crates::

ACTION: At the sound of the noise...a rather large and hairy humanoid, with what appears to be a small horn in the center of his forehead looks around the side of the crate he was pushing::

Jas -> @ ::recognizing one of the creatures from before, grip tightens on the rock and he feels the jagged stone tight against his palm::

ACTION: The creature is stunned....

....as another comes into the chamber from the same direction....

Jas -> ((I'm just happy you didn't shoot me... yet))

ACTION:: Creature his hit with the stun, and still staggers towards Will

ACTION: Creature goes down on the 2nd stun

ACTION: The sound of the roar and phaser fire has echoed a bit through the passageways..

Jas -> @ A mutation like this would be highly unusual and almost impossible to occur naturally, from what I've learned at the Academy anyways.

ACTION: JAX'S Voice echoes down the passage ways, and soon noise is heard coming towards them.....

 

Jas -> @ ::gets up from crouch to stand, surveying the three tunnels, mumbles to self:: I remember it being a lot more confusing than just three tunnels...
