RES Talon Mission Briefing 51408.29 - Season 19 - The Talon has just entered the fringes of ch'Rihan space and have no idea what to expect. They, along with the Stinger, have cloaked and are heading in stealthy, hoping to assess the situation before more trouble starts. Sensors show other ships in the area, some Galae and others Othan, but at this point, the Talon doesn't know who to trust.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Back on the bridge, Laehval sat in her usual spot while t'Vatrix looked over the intelligence they'd been able to uncover so far. She was also keeping an eye on the cloak, though her attention shifted to other things, like the sensor logs. Especially the sensor logs.::

M_K_tKsa -> ::exhales deeply, blowing her hair out of her face, talking to herself:: The inventory of what we need to replicate to replace the supplies we've used so far is staggering. I'm na liking the power drain we'd cause if we were to proceed. ::enters her office, tossing the ISD at her desk so that it skids across the surface but does na fall off::

M_K_tKsa -> Maybe we'll get lucky and na io will shoot at us......again. ::shakes herself:: Oh who am I kidding, Morgana, this is Talon.

Koga S'Bien -> ::keeps an eye on sensors and ship traffic patterns as they get closer to ch'Rihan::

 

ACTION> Those cloak readings Lerak was watching suddenly started to fluctuate as one of the power nodes in the medical lab began to overload. Something toxic in the lab exploded and alerts began to sound all over the Talon.

 

Koga S'Bien -> ::hears the alarms and tries to isolate the source::

Lerak trPexil -> :: Jolts awake :: +Oria+ We have an explosion in medical.

M_K_tKsa -> ::jerks her head up, hearing a klaxon warning sounding:: Fvadt. ::heads out of her office to see her staff rushing about::

tAehjae -> I knew this was going to smooth.

Kheinsa Maec -> ::coughing as he heads out of the hallway where his office is located as the bulk of the smoke is coming from that direction::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval swore under her breath and sat up straighter in her chair.:: t'Aehjae, get down there and make sure everyone is evacuated from the area. +Pexil+ Acknowledged. Do na let it impact the cloak status.

M_K_tKsa -> Close off that corridor! Get the fire suppression unit activated. :: assists io of the medical staff stumbling away::

Lerak trPexil -> +t'Ksa+ internal sensors indicate a compound registering as toxic. Au may wish to evacuate.

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> Koga's sensors show a trio of Othan ships between them and ch'Rihan.

 

tAehjae -> ::stands and nods to Laeh:: Ie rekkhai :: snaps to and heads down towards medical::

M_K_tKsa -> +tr'Pexil+ ::coughing a bit herself as she answers:: Thanks for the warning, tr'Pexil.

Koga S'Bien -> I have three Othan ships on sensors in our path.

Laehval tTemarr -> Take effective measures to avoid them.

Koga S'Bien -> ::nods:: Will do.

Koga S'Bien -> ::inputs the necessary corrections to avoid said Othans::

Kheinsa Maec -> ::voice scratchy as he moves to the computer console at the nearest station::

tAehjae -> :: exits the lift in medical::

Lerak trPexil -> +t'Temarr+ I have the cloak stable once more, but 5.6 seconds passed while the local node was in flux.

Kheinsa Maec -> Lab 3. Back corridor. ::looking for life signs on the monitor but his eyes are watering too badly::

M_K_tKsa -> +tr'Pexil+ I need help with the ventilation here before all of medical is flooded with fumes.

Laehval tTemarr -> +Pexil+ Understood. Let us hope it was minimal enough that no one noticed. S'Bien, do the ships seem to be converging on our last position?

tAehjae -> Did all of aus teams get out of that lab or do I need to go get them with my dheno teams?

Lerak trPexil -> :: Waves over a team :: Get a team down there to fix that before it disrupts the cloak.

 

ACTION> Luckily, Pexil had stabilized the cloak before their sensor sweeps caught the fluctuation. The ships were scanning the area, but hadn't detected the Talon.

 

M_K_tKsa -> ::coughing, glances at t'Aehjae:: We need to verify that all the medical staff and patients are accounted for. The Khiensa was doing a scan of the area ::jerks her head in Maec's direction::

M_K_tKsa -> t'Culli, take whomever you can down to the auxiliary medical bay and get it opened.

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> Internal sensors show at least two life signs still in the medical lab, trapped there when the safety measures engaged after the explosion.

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> One of the Othan ships that Koga was trying to avoid changed course on a path that would cause them to collide with the Talon.

 

tAehjae -> ::grabs a suit presented to her and gets into it:: quickly there’s no time to waste.

M_K_tKsa -> Every io else out! ::herding her staff out the door::

Kheinsa Maec -> ::coughs and nods his head as he agrees with t'Ksa::

Koga S'Bien -> He's moved in front of us. I'll need to move out of their way.

Laehval tTemarr -> Au are the pilot. ::Giving S'Bien leave to do what he felt was necessary to get them safely to ch'Rihan.::

tAehjae -> tKsa, Which lab are they in? We will get them out.

Koga S'Bien -> ::slows speed and initiates a course correction to move out of the Othan ship's path::

M_K_tKsa -> Lab 3. Straight down the corridor, fifth door on au's left.

tAehjae -> Ie :: motions for her team to follow her::

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> Lifesigns in the lab were starting to fade as the toxic fumes started to overwhelm them. Neither had been able to make to the emergency equipment before they passed out.

 

tAehjae -> :: gets help trying to get the door open::

Koga S'Bien -> ::sigh of relief, glad he had enough space to move safely out of the way::M_K_tKsa -> ::coughing mildly herself, moves to assist the Khiensa out out into the corridor by putting his arm around her shoulder, grabbing his wrist and with her free arm around his waist walks him out to the outside cooridor and leans him against the wall:: Stay here. I'm going to go check on the dhenos.

M_K_tKsa -> +tr'Pexil+ Do we have enough reserve power to initiate a site to site transport from the medical bay to the auxiliary medical bay?

Laehval tTemarr -> (( We left t'Rex looking over intelligence data, presumably in the Enarrain's chambers. As they were heading in, one of the power nodes in the medical lab overloaded and caused a toxic explosion. The cloak fluctuated, but Pexil got it stable before they were spotted. ))

Lerak trPexil -> :: Watching all of the events in medical :: +Oria+ Pexil here. I may be able to beam out some of the toxins.

tAehjae -> ::gets the door open as her team rushes in looking for the fallen medics::

M_K_tKsa -> ::grabs the helmet of one of the EVA suits in storage near the front entrance of medical and uses it as a breathing device to re-enter the main lobby to await t'Aehjae and the dhenos::

 

Laehval tTemarr -> ACTION> As t'Aehjae's team rushes in, the unventilated gas pours out into the corridor and rolls toward the others on the deck.

 

KhreRiovtRex -> ::having felt the tremor vibrating threw the ship, stood and quickly headed towards the Oira ::

tAehjae -> +tKsa+ The gas is thick au may want to get all off this deck until it can be cleared::

M_K_tKsa -> Fvadt ::seeing the wave of gas heading her way, shuts the main medical door, trying to contain some of the damage::

Laehval tTemarr -> Talon: ::Turns back to t'Rex.:: Na, rekkhai. We have avoided ship and detection so far, but one of the power nodes in the medical lab has overloaded and caused internal damage.

Koga S'Bien -> Talon: ::locks onto all persons in the affected deck and beams them out::

M_K_tKsa -> Talon: +t'Aehjae+ tr'Pexil hasn't answer to whether or na a transport is possible. I'm in the lobby of medical, can au bring him here.

Laehval tTemarr -> Talon: Likely it was damaged during io of the ship's battles and only just showed signs of distress.

Talon: ACTION> The rescued medical team member still lives. The other, still in the lab, has stopped showing up on internal sensors. No lifesigns.
