STSF_BluRox -> USS Republic Mission Briefing 51408.04 - Season 22: The USS Republic has left DS09 after taking on supplies and getting more details on their new mission. This mission entails checking on the colonies that are situated between Bajor, Cardassia and the Badlands, but nothing has been heard from them of late. It is possible that the main communications relay station may have a malfunction, or it could be something worse. Worse being......raiders, privateers, fighting between colonies, or ......from the other side of the Badlands....the Breen.

STSF_BluRox -> ACTION: We are about 15 minutes from the first of the main communications array

Heather Jamieson -> :: Tries logging into the array ::

LtCmdrRobinson -> Just going over the plans for all of these places we'll be visiting. Good to know the layouts before we go in.

LtCmdrRobinson -> They pretty much listed everything they could think of, which means they have no clue.

STSF_BluRox -> Funny...::gives her a sour look:: Let me check on this..

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::checks course and stuff like that::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Looking closely at her scanner ::

LtCmdrRobinson -> If I had to guess I would say just a technical error in the communication systems, but... they don’t usually send 'us' for something that simple.

Christina_Nickles -> I know I don’t think we have ever gotten that lucky.

STSF_BluRox -> :: walks over to the others: W hat have you found?

Heather Jamieson -> Kasuga, I may need you to orbit around the array for more detailed scans. The array is not responding Admiral. I am hopeful more will be revealed when we approach.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Sure thing

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::starts getting his gear around:: Make sure you are ready to roll.

Ayumu Kasuga -> We will be arriving at the array shortly. I can move us in closer if you wish\

Heather Jamieson -> Given all of the backups I'm puzzled as to why it has stopped functioning.

STSF_BluRox -> : looks at Heather:: We knew that at DS9, that's why we’re here. Now....give me a reason

Heather Jamieson -> Damage, sabotage.

Christina_Nickles -> Yes sir anything specific you want me to get?

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::Shrugs::

STSF_BluRox -> Yes Kasuga. I'd hate to have to go back to DS9 and tell them that we couldn’t' figure it out because we didn’t' get closer to investigate

Dr Tisa Sen -> ::listens in to get caught up::

Heather Jamieson -> As for the reason it has failed, we do not know yet.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Ah. Okay.. ::moves in closer to the array and stops:: We're here

Heather Jamieson -> Giving the scans all they have.

LtCmdrRobinson -> Since we are not sure yet, just assume combat search and rescue. A few of the essentials.

Heather Jamieson -> (Is this an array one people can walk in?)

Christina_Nickles -> Aye sir. ::heads to the armory to get ready ::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::grabs a phaser and a small medkit::

Heather Jamieson -> I am not detecting any visible damage on the exterior.

STSF_BluRox -> (this is a midsize one, there is another larger one later but this would hold a few people if a repair crew would need to come staff it)

 

Christina_Nickles -> :: enters the armory and picks up a hand phaser and a searching tricorder::

Heather Jamieson -> I'm reading no power to the main core.

STSF_BluRox -> I want you to get close, scan and find out what you can, and then I want you three...::points at Heather, Ayumu and Christiana to accompany Commander Robinson. He will be leading the away team to check it out

Heather Jamieson -> Aye :: Recounts the items she'll need :: The array does have a breathable interior, but we need to power the environmental system.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Aye aye

Heather Jamieson -> Two portable power sources, one for that and the other to power the computer. The logs may reveal what happened.

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::grabs one last item from the armory:: Ok, now we just wait for the call

Heather Jamieson -> :: Gets up :: I will transfer out scans into our tricorders as well.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Right. ::heads to the lift with Heather::

STSF_BluRox -> +Will+ We 'have reached the array and they're not picking up any power on it. I've assigned you a team, so I'm going to have you lead them over and have a look around and see if it's just mechanical or something else.
