A View from the Captain's Cabin

Aboard the United Nations Spaceship Bounty

 

Audraya floated out of the bridge, and into the rather small captain's cabin...probably the equivalent of an old At Sea cabin from the days of terrestrial navies. A desk and chair, a couple of cabinets with a bunk between them, a private head aft with a largish chunk of blue ice floating with several orbiting fragments. Chuckling quietly to herself, she floated back and turned her attention to the desk area. A couple tablets sat secured to the surface, batteries long since drained. Several photos of a middle aged male and an attractive brunette, presumably his wife, were taped to the bulkhead, including one taken after some semi-official function, with friends photobombing it. At least that was what Scooter thought she was looking it. Granted, the fact that he was wearing an Air Force dress uniform added weight to that hypothesis.

“I want to know where they were headed, why they were in cryo sleep, and what happened,” she muttered. Leaving the captain's cabin, Audraya floated quietly out.
