"The Second Time this Week"

Off. On. Off. On. Off. On. THWAM! Click. A somewhat rounded view of Zertz’ quarters can be seen, chairs here and there, replicated books on the coffee table, and a steaming cup of coffee in Julian’s hands. One thing is missing, the replicated 20th century lamp. Julian approaches the view point and grabs something behind it, the view point moves with his adjustment. Sitting down and opening a green covered book, the engineer begins to read. Time passes. A chime is heard, “It is now 1500”. Julian gets up  and walks out the door. A few seconds pass. A mumbling Julian enters the door and approaches the view point again. Click. The view goes dark. The door opens and a figure leaves.

Hours pass, the door opens and a figure slips in, it is Julian. “Lights, 90%”. Computer tone. For a third time the viewpoint is approached and the familiar click is heard again. The area begins to glow a little brighter. An out of sight Julian can be heard singing to himself, probably the sonic shower. After a little while he returns, approaching the view point and pulling at something, but no click. A sound is heard, but more of a breaking noise. The engineer can be heard saying something about that being the second time this week, and another comment about replicating a new lamp.
