STSF_BluRox -> USS Republic Mission Briefing 514.3.17 - Season 22 As the remaining crew return from the surface of the terraformed Gorn planet, science and engineering have been instructed to complete repairs on the orbital holoimaging platforms, that will continue to help hide the planet from regular traffic. Meanwhile......Holly is considering tossing a party.......Just maybe......

Capt Rian Kwai -> It looks like repairs to our ship are nearly complete. ::looking up in time to see fruit being lobbed at her head, manages to grab it before she has a near miss:: I can tell. ::waves her hand to get the juice off of it from the broken skin of the fruit:: Thanks.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Heather enters a science lab. Logs on to see what is needed for the repairs to the Klingon devices ::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::heads into her quarters for a quick change and sonic shower::

STSF_BluRox -> ::Grins:: Oh don't look so perturbed.....it's really pretty good. Though seriously, you missed a nice diplomatic situation. The main thing now, is doing any damage control we can to cover our trip here. It's become a bit of a First Contact situation. It's an old breakoff colony from back when the Klingon's had conquered the Gorn home world. They fled, found this place to terra-form, and make their own, yet hide it so they would not be found again.

LtCmdrRobinson -> Nickles, go ahead and complete your after-mission report, then take the rest of the day off. We had a long day.

 

STSF_BluRox -> I want to have engineering and science repair the malfunctioning platform, as well as check the others to see what state of repair they are in. I'm going to send a diplomatic packet to Headquarters informing them of their wishes to be left alone.

Heather Jamieson -> :: As she looks at the data, it seems she will need to physically get to the satellite they found. Perhaps bring it into the shuttle bay ::

STSF_BluRox -> Had you sent any messages to SF about our location while we were gone?

Capt Rian Kwai -> Oh, I believe HQ has had about a dozen. Considering we had no response from the away team and were in the process of sending in an retrieval team when you all finally checked in.

Christina_Nickles -> Yes sir Thank you sir.

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::steps out of the shower, feels nice after that stay in the underground prison, changes into a new uniform::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Sends a message to engineering to mentioning her intention to bring the most damaged satellite into the shuttle bay to repair it ::

STSF_BluRox -> Crud.....that's going to be messy to hide....ok....where's Ayumu....I need to get her to send some information back home to help squelch this location. Had you sent anything cancelling the alerts that our picnic went wrong? ::winks::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::heads up to the bridge::

STSF_BluRox -> I still say you should have came. Some nice quiet time off the ship would have done you good

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::enters the bridge, and takes her seat::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::heads into his office to start on the novel length report he'll have to write about the mission::

STSF_BluRox -> Ah good, Kasuga....I had prepared these on the shuttle on the way back up from the planet. Would you please be so kind as to encrypt these and send these back to headquarters for me?

Heather Jamieson -> :: Examines the scans of the devices to devise a repair plan ::

Christina_Nickles -> :: goes to her work station and begins writing the ordered report::

STSF_BluRox -> ::walks over to her office and enters, setting the fruit down into a bowl on the corner of her desk...

Ayumu Kasuga -> Yes sir. ::encrypts the files the Admiral sent her and sends it on to Starfleet HQ::

Capt Rian Kwai -> What do you need, Blu? ::tucking her PADD under her arm::

Christina_Nickles -> Mr Robinson? Did you get a chance to taste the fruit while you down there?

STSF_BluRox -> :: motions to the couch over to the side of the room:: Please...have a seat... .::walks to the replicator and orders a pot of hot tea and 2 cups::

LtCmdrRobinson -> I usually abstain from eating the local food on the first go through. If you all survive then I'll give it a shot. ::grins::

STSF_BluRox -> Just wanted to debrief you on what went on below, you seemed a bit defensive when I mentioned squelching the reports. It's not for us, I want to try to respect these people's wishes, that they be left alone. with the improvements in technology...we can't promise them that it will be forever, but we can try to delay the inevitable

Heather Jamieson -> :: Loads the data she has on her padd and heads to the shuttle bay ::

STSF_BluRox -> ::sets the tea down, and heads back over for a small plate of pastries::

Christina_Nickles -> Well so far there are no issues. It was very good. I was a bit leery at first then I saw them eat it and then the Admiral.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Enters a lift ::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Defensive? I'm not going to lie to HQ. Especially after the Admiral of the ship disappears for nearly twenty-four hours.

STSF_BluRox -> Not sure if these are the ones you like or not....some apple tarts and blueberry scones ::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Leaned against the lift, she'd been up hours on the bridge ::

 

STSF_BluRox -> Oh...there is no lie, everything is in the report...I just want to keep news of this place quiet, so half of Starfleet Science and Engineering doesn't come out here poking and probing into what these people are doing.... Why would you think I'd lie in my report? It's fine you informed them......I'd likely have done the same....report to headquarters is fine.... but you know how stuff get into the public records....don't want this becoming some sort of ant farm project for some wet behind the ears LT.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Exits the lift and makes her way back to the shuttle bay ::

LtCmdrRobinson -> Well hopefully now we can just concentrate on getting the ship repaired and moving on.

Holly> :: making some last minute arrangements in Holodeck one:: yes...that should do it....

Capt Rian Kwai -> I'm not interested in a tea party right now. You can keep the scones and tarts. I don't know how you think you're going to be able to control how the information is handled, but if you can prevent it from going into the public record after all the communiques we sent, then more power to you. If you want to keep this quiet, then we're just lucky another ship hasn't been rerouted this way. You're an Admiral of the fleet. You were missing. I think it's going to be rather difficult to keep that on the down low.

Christina_Nickles -> :: working on her report to give the specifics correct.::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Heck, the Risa incident kept me busy with paperwork for a full two weeks. And we *knew* where you were then. Do you have any idea what this is going to do?

August Jax Robinson -> ::Walks back onto the lift::

Christina_Nickles -> Cmdr Robinson do you want the reports given to you? And do we place these in our personal log since we are supposed to remain quiet of this place?

STSF_BluRox -> What's done is done. I've applied for First Contact protocol Captain. I've made the call, and am invoking that privilege here and have sent it to command for review and confirmation. I'm sorry if you disagree

STSF_BluRox -> We'll just have to reset the platforms and see what fleet says.

LtCmdrRobinson -> I have not been informed of any further away missions. You'd have to ask the Captain, but I’m sure the Gorn would like us to remain as hands-off as possible.

Christina_Nickles -> :: receives Holly invite and smiles thinking this could be fun::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Sees Holly's invite as well, torn between repairing that one satellite and the party, if only to sit for a moment ::

STSF_BluRox -> Ms Kasuga........::walks over to the center seat and settles into the seat::: Please forwards my report you sent to Captain Kwai, and once you are done, you are relieved. I have the bridge. Why don’t' you go grab some of those that had been down on planet and take them over to Holly's party to relax after all of that.
