Audraya limped into the offices of the deep space recovery company at Harrington station, leaning on her cane. "Can I help you, Commander," the perky young girl behind the counter asked.

 

"Yes, I'd like to know why the Comanche Creek hasn't been brought in to one of the drydocks yet."

 

"Ma'am, we're not scheduled to recover your ship until Tuesday. At least that's what the contract signed by Colonel O'Hara says." She pulled it up on the monitor and showed it to the Commander.

 

"Look, Britanny is it?" She nodded. "That's my ship out there, floating abandoned and dead in space. The faster it gets back into a drydock, the faster it can get repaired, and the faster we can get out of the station's management's hair.”

 

“Ma'am, we'd like to help you, but the contract states that recovery of your ship is scheduled for next Tuesday.”

 

“Even though Comanche Creek was left abandoned and drifting into shipping lanes?”

 

“The contract states...”

 

“Next Tuesday. Yes I get it. Thank you.” Audraya turned, and hobbled out of the contractor's office, cane clicking against the polished metal deck of the station. Grumbling under her breath in Low Kolari, she made her way towards the spaces that the station commander had granted the crew as temporary offices and quarters. “Looks like it'll be next Tuesday...”
