Capt Rian Kwai -> Mission Brief: The Republic celebrates a brief respite in its crazy history with the human holiday of Thanksgiving (which should be interesting considering the command staff aren't human) Drinks and a food buffet have been set up.

Christina_Nickles -> :: heads for the party after completing her shift::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Ooooh....what strange concoction is this? ::looking at a mound of fluffy white stuff::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::sitting at a table with the wife®, with way more food then he can possibly eat::

Christina_Nickles -> :: enters the party area:: wow look at all of the food.

August Jax Robinson -> ::Glad this is a grown ups only party, since they are bad parents and need to drink::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Yeoman Steve> In my family's tradition, we throw this stuff here. For good luck. ::trying to incite a food fight::

Christina_Nickles -> ;; walks over to the buffet and starts filling a plate::

August Jax Robinson -> ::leans over to Will:: (w) shoot Steve

Capt Rian Kwai -> Sure, right. Seriously, what is it?

Christina_Nickles -> What’s what Captain??

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::scoops a bit of it onto her plate and tries it::

Capt Rian Kwai -> The white stuff there. ::points:: It's the consistency of engineering puddy.

LtCmdrRobinson -> No I will not.

August Jax Robinson -> Those are mashed potatoes

Christina_Nickles -> Oh That’s mashed potatoes. Its best with brown gravy on it

LtCmdrRobinson -> Yet.

Capt Rian Kwai -> Yeoman Steve>::makes a face, was looking for some fun....oh well, there's always the open bar::

August Jax Robinson -> Isn’t all gravy brown?

Christina_Nickles -> Nope there is a White gravy also

Ayumu Kasuga -> Really? Wow.

August Jax Robinson -> yeah, gray turns brown after it sits for a month

Capt Rian Kwai -> Depends on where you're from, I guess. We have a form of gravy, but it's green.

Christina_Nickles -> actually 2 white gravies, one is a chicken gravy and another white gravy can be a sausage gravy

Ayumu Kasuga -> Mmmm.. sausage gravy

Heather Jamieson -> :: takes a drink ::

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::confused:: Why do you need two white ones?

August Jax Robinson -> ::gets a drink and sits back down::

Christina_Nickles -> :: taking her plate over to the table:: I have a recipe that my mom handed down to me. A sausage gravy that tastes real good. Depends on what you are eating it on Sir. Or what meat you’re having

Capt Rian Kwai -> What's with the jiggly green thing with fruit suspended in it?

Christina_Nickles -> A sausage gravy is more of a breakfast type gravy. That’s a fruit Jello I believe

Ayumu Kasuga -> I think that is Jello.

Christina_Nickles -> I bet its Lime

Ayumu Kasuga -> Could be green apple

Christina_Nickles -> Green apple wouldn’t taste that good with other fruits

Capt Rian Kwai -> Still doesn't explain the fruit inside of it. ::tilts her head::

Ayumu Kasuga -> Hmm. Perhaps you are right. We don’t usually have Jello in Japan.

Capt Rian Kwai -> ((We're just doing Thanksgiving dinner, Blu. ))

August Jax Robinson -> ::Gets her drink in a much larger glass if it is limited to cups, not cup size::

Christina_Nickles -> :: moves back to get her a drink::

Christina_Nickles -> :: gets a soda and returns to the table:: Arent you going to Eat Captain?

Tory Knight -> ::enters, glancing about before heading to the rep to order a nice hot cup of tea::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::helps August drinks her alcohol::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::takes a bite of the stuffing::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Not until I identify what all this is.

Christina_Nickles -> what else are you questioning Sir?

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::lathers some cranberries onto her turkey, and adds gravy::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Um. Well. There seems to be a strange topping to those green beans. And why is she putting fruit on her protein?

Tory Knight -> ::glancing at the chrono on her wrist, looks over the assembled crowd with a rueful grin::

Christina_Nickles -> Some like to do that. I like mine plain or with a touch of gravy

Capt Rian Kwai -> But the fried bits on top?

August Jax Robinson -> ::takes a bite from Will's plate::

Christina_Nickles -> The topping on the Green beans looks to be a Cracker crust

Ayumu Kasuga -> I find turkey to be a little dry for me, so the gravy and cranberries add flavor.

Christina_Nickles -> Everyone hs their own tastes Sir

Capt Rian Kwai -> I could go for some pie though. Pie is good.

Christina_Nickles -> :: places a bit of butter on her roll::

August Jax Robinson -> ::Sips drink:: So Will, have you thought about how we are going to explain Gunner's growth spurt to the other kids?

Tory Knight -> ::tea in hand, moves to an empty chair, eyeing the spread as she does so::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Yeoman Steve> Pie. Did someone say pie?

Christina_Nickles -> Aye Chocolate pie, Custard pie and Pumpkin pies are the best.

LtCmdrRobinson -> They should know by now that weird stuff happens around here.

Capt Rian Kwai -> What's mince meat pie?

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::shrugs:: We'll figure something out. I'm not sure what to say. We dont know yet if we can fix it or not.

Christina_Nickles -> Im not sure I have never tried it.

Ayumu Kasuga -> I haven't either. What is it?

August Jax Robinson -> is there a Mince animal?

Christina_Nickles -> Anyone know what Mince meat pie is? Or what it’s made of?

stsf_blurox -> ::quietly observing the room, and remember those that they lost

Tory Knight -> A bit of this; a bit of that. Sometimes a bit of suet.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Very helpful.

Capt Rian Kwai -> How....appetizing

 

Tory Knight -> More often than not, some fruits and nuts with a savory sauce or gravy.

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::shakes head:: Not gonna happen. Looks weird.

August Jax Robinson -> scared of Pie? I thought you were Brave?

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::smirks, watching Will and Jax:: Perhaps he's not that brave

Ayumu Kasuga -> Be a man. Do the right thing.

stsf_blurox -> I though everyone liked pie...?

LtCmdrRobinson -> This sounds like a trick, and I shall have no part of it

Christina_Nickles -> Is it a dessert pie?

August Jax Robinson -> Sissy. Try it and you might get lucky tonight
