RES Talon Mission Briefing 51309.06 - Season 18 As the crew of the Stonereaver install the odd device and install it's algorithm into the Talon's system and etrehh, the Talon crew become wary and have now interfered with the installation and upgrading of the necessary software it requires. The crews are at an impasse as to what to do.

Lerak trPexil -> +Temarr+ I have gone over their data several times. I can't be 100% sure their algorithms and devices won't have an effect on the ship. According to their specifications we can't modify our own systems either.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She arched a brow at tr'Dario.:: Ie, we do, but na at the risk of our ship. Engineering has picked up on some strange readings with our AQS during the installation of the device. If this was to be expected, then au should have informed us of that ahead of time.

Lerak trPexil -> :: The AQS status sits in the upper left corner. Normally the pulsing is very slight and uniform. ::

KhreRiovtRex -> tr'Dario> Basically, as au know, the device and the algorithm is looking for a rather rare element. If it were something normal, then I'm sure everyone would be scanning for it. Thing is, this algorithm, when properly installed, runs a counter intuitive program, that appears that it is interferring with the AQS, and it does have the side effect of interfering with some of au normal sensor ranges and scans

KhreRiovtRex -> However, it's the only way to scan for the Trevalyan. That's putting the simple spin on it. I'm sure my science officer could explain in much more boring detail...of which myself, I could care less

The Othan veruuls almost took it from us during io of our last inspections, however, when they turned it on, and saw the discordant waves it was throwing off, we told them we had tried installing a way to find ore, but it failed and we were in the process of disassembling it...they left it alone

KhreRiovtRex -> SR Crewman 8> :: goes over to speak with Ops and steps over to Koga:: I wanted to show au what the waves will look like once the device is activated, it will appear that it is damaging our sensors, but it is na. This is just a cover for the real waves.

Lerak trPexil -> :: The activity around him reminded him of main engineering. The players and scene were different, but they danced all the same ::

Laehval tTemarr -> The Othan have become a rather unpleasant and annoying obstacle for us. They seem to turn up at the worst times, as well.

ACTION: SR crew gets back to installing the device and algorithms, quickly finishing up, and just needing to run the test runs, but will wait and let that be done with tr'Dario present
