The Manticore is in the Serengeti sector where the mining ship,

Kumquat and the Daventry research station were attacked and

neutralized by a nano technology swarm. We attempted to

destroy them, but our torpedoes only made the swarm larger, an

EMP burst only slowed them for a few moments and a software

"back door" shutdown failed. We reprogrammed some of our own

nanites and introduce them into the swarm. The swarm stopped

following Manticore and headed to the nearby red dwarf and are

starting to join together and build ... something.
