Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 14 February 2014

4 August 2387 - Stardate 2387.217

TBS was 9 hours

The time at sim begin is 0700 hours (7:00 am).

Mr. Roberts is in command, waiting for Counselor Davis’s psychological evaluation of Captain Chirakis, who is still under house arrest.

Rov and SubCommander Jorahl are collaborating on plans for a new station. In testimony to the station’s disrepair, SubCommander tr’Korjata is in the medical suite with significant injuries from a gas explosion in the lower section of a pylon. That section has been detached from the station.

Aegis’ Chief Science Officer Lawliet is receiving data directly from the patrol vessels that are investigating the random concentration of tachyons in the area of space where KraH’kHn first appeared.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 21 February 2014

6 August 2387 - Stardate 2387.218

TBS was 2 days.

After a psychological review by Counselor Davis, Captain Chirakis has been released from custody.

SubCommander tr’Korjata is in stable condition in sick bay’s ICU, recovering from severe burns he sustained during a plasma blast. Medical personnel are doing their best to comfort and encourage Annisha.

Lieutenant Lawliet has determined that the random tachyon levels detected in Aegis space were from an intersection of realities. The attacking ship and its crew were from an alternate reality and the tachyons should have dissipated within 48 hours.

Meanwhile, engineering is exhausted, having been left with the mess. They are investigating alternatives to station repair, IE: a new or “gently used” station that can be moved into position near Aegis, configured to our needs, and occupied fairly easily when ready.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 28 February 2014

20 September 2387 - Stardate 2387.263

TBS was 6 weeks.

Because it is dangerous to remain on the disabled and disintegrating station, everyone from Aegis - crew and civilians - have been moved to the shipyard. A used station that will suit our purposes for both living and defense is en route to Aegis space, where it will be renovated and refurbished for our use.

Otherwise, it is business as usual at the shipyard.

At sim begin, everyone will be on regular shift (whatever that is at the shipyard).

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 7 March 2014

20 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.293

TBS was 4 weeks.

The crew is feeling the effects of being cloistered at the shipyard for two months. The new station is slowly moving into what will eventually be its permanent mooring. Aegis Engineering, the Imperial Corps of Engineers, and Starfleet Corps of Engineers are under the direction of SubCommander Jorahl, working around the clock to make the station operational within the next two to four weeks.

Everything else is fairly quiet. So far.

22 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.295

TBS was 2 days.

The crew is preparing to move into the new station. Much of the materiel has been moved to the station. Engineering has been aboard for about a week. What little materiel remains, along with the crew who have not yet moved over, will beam during the game.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 28 March 2014

25 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.298

TBS was one hour.

Station personnel continue familiarizing themselves with their new environment. Because of the station’s precarious perch along the border and the need for constant vigilance, our top priority is readiness and defense. To that end, all crew are encouraged to acquaint themselves with safe havens, exits, and escape routes.

SubCommander Jorahl has received word that “a number of personal ships are en route to Aegis” and that “the term carpetbagger may apply.” Measures are being taken to prevent scams and other nefarious activities.

The Medical Complex has received its first visitors after the minor collision of one child, one engineer, and one counselor. The science department’s equipment has been fully calibrated; SrLtn Lawliet reports all ready. Final touches are being put on the security complex. Engineering’s tasks are ongoing.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 4 April 2014

27 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.300

TBS was 2 days.

The first station drill did not go well, but familiarity with the station and additional drills seem to have ironed out most of the wrinkles.

As soon as the dust settled, SubCommander Jorahl put Commander Coleridge in command of a science and engineering team that will install a transwarp transporter connecting TKR-117 to Aegis. The question in everyone’s mind is who will draw the short straw to test it.

At sim begin, the team will be on TKR-117 in the first stage of installing the transporter.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 11 April 2014

28 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.301

TBS was 1 day.

The engineering and science teams are still at TKR-117, assembling, configuring, and testing the transwarp transport system.

Elsewhere, crew are still adjusting to the new station. Businesses are beginning to move in and commerce is flowing surprisingly well, considering this station has been operational for less than a week.

It’s quiet. For now.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 18 April 2014

29 October 2387 - Stardate 2387.302

TBS was 1 day.

Everyone breathed a collective sigh of relief when SubCommander Jorahl materialized - intact - on TKR-117 from Aegis via the transwarp transportation system . His transport was ten seconds over the projected time, there was a minor change in his body chemistry that disappeared within an hour. Aegis’ sensors detected a subspace feature that had not been detected before. Science is investigating.

The next step is to test the transporter with a human. So far we have no volunteers.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 25 April 2014

1 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.303

TBS was 3 days.

On the second test of the transwarp transporter, this time from TKR-117 to Aegis, our human volunteer, Commander Coleridge, materialized 25 seconds late and shaken on Aegis. Science and engineering have yet to determine the cause of the problem, but nothing shows in diagnostics and everything should be working perfectly. Testing will continue until the problem is solved.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 2 May 2014

1 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.305

TBS was 2 hours.

The same subspace anomaly that appeared during two transwarp transporter tests appeared during the third test. The crew, with the exception of a very few, were knocked unconscious and awoke in a totally alien world with no idea where they were or how they got there.

The place is familiar, yet unfamiliar. The constellations give them no clues, but the constellation configuration is constantly changing and the stars are often obscured by an aurora borealis. Time is difficult to judge because they are in perpetual half-light.

The crew has begun to walk in the direction of what appears to be a city. At sim begin we will be on its outskirts.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 9 May 2014

1 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.305

TBS was 5 minutes.

We are not on Aegis, but exactly where we are is not clear. It appears that we are on a planet that is inhabited with tall, slender beings who have extremely advanced technology. They are aware of our presence, but they do not speak. Instead, they point us in the direction of a spire in the middle of an ethereal city. Upon touching the spire, a door to a descending staircase was opened.

Our resident El-Aurian, Lt. Lawliet, says he feels the past, the present, and the future combined. Captain Chirakis has a “familiar feeling” about the staircase, but she does not know why. Everything on the planet changes periodically, especially the configuration of the stars.

At the moment, the crew is descending the staircase….

...into darkness.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 16 May 2014

1 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.305

There was no TBS.

We went.

We saw.

We arrived back at the exact place and moment we left. In other words, we were transported outside the boundaries of time and space.

While testing the transwarp transport system between Sky Harbor Aegis and its satellite colony on TKR-117, something other than the transport system transported most of Aegis’ crew somewhere else. After a series of interesting encounters, we were transported back to the exact place and time that we left. Our memory of the experience remains but those around us say we never left.

At sim begin we will have been back a few seconds and you will be where you were when you left - either in sick bay, in the CnC, or on TKR-117.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 30 May 2014

2 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.306

TBS was 24 hours.

Captain Chirakis has ordered all who had the strange experience to be examined by medical personnel, then to take time from duty to formulate a complete report of their recollections, as detailed as possible.

We still have no idea what happened. We do know that Captain Chirakis is now minus the granite oval that she insists was in her pocket, and the disappearance of something from her pocket is documented in the security tapes from the CnC.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 6 June 2014

2 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.306

TBS was 4 hours.

Neural scans of those who were transported “elsewhere” have revealed something that may explain the experience. Suggestions as to the nature of the experience range from something involving an “Artificial Temporal Focal Point” to a mass hallucination. So far, no concrete explanation has been found.

On TKR-117, the transwarp transport system is fully operational. Aegean has found a new area on sub-surface scans of the planet; SrLtn Lawliet has taken a science crew to investigate. SubCommander tr’Korjata is returning engineering equipment to Aegis aboard Nei’rrh.

On a lighter note:

Ensign Lackey has been plying OPS officer Lt Kital with copious quantities of freshly brewed high-test coffee.

The flower shop, Blooms and Buds, has ordered numerous crates of quality whisky for their grand opening, suggesting that “a little nip in the vases really perks up the blossoms”. LtCdr Harada has sent a security detail to investigate.

Annisha has expressed a desire to learn Klingon fighting techniques.

At sim begin, Nei’rrh will be arriving at Aegis.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 13 June 2014

4 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.308

TBS was 2 days.

Those who were transported “elsewhere” still don’t know what happened, and may not for some time. Neurological scans reveal that they were not dreaming. The investigation is ongoing.

Nei’rrh has returned from TKR-117, as has the remaining members of the away team.

Engineering continues fine-tuning the station. They’re hooking up the public transporter terminals into the transwarp transport system and they plan an inspection and overhaul of the defense grid to bring it in line with the new station.

In other news, Pan Universe Flight 001 is due to arrive.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 20 June 2014

6 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.310

TBS was 2 days.

Our new chief of security, Commander Marx, has arrived with his family. Dr. Sandero’s cousin, Alexis, has also arrived and seems to have made a connection with Annisha. The owner of the flower shop and perfumery, Kelsa Viegnor, SF Captain (Ret.), is preparing for a grand opening.

Lt Lawliet and Ens Morgan have set up an area of the holodeck, trying to recreate the place and events that some of the crew experienced “elsewhere” while Drs Pavilion and Schawnsee use the medical data they gathered.

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 1 day.

Our new Chief of Security’s first security issue had to do with children. Fortunately, Commander Marx has three of his own and handled the situation admirably. The perpetrator, Annisha, and her new friend, Alexis, are in the custody of their guardians.

Per orders from Dr. Pavilion, Lieutenant Lawliet is recovering from exhaustion after studying the phenomenon now known as the “otherworld experience”.

Elsewhere, things went smoothly. Mostly.

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 1 hour.

More noise from the broadcasts. Operations and Engineering are continuing to search for where and how these broadcasts are getting into the station, while the new Chief of Security signed out a lab in the Industrial sector.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 18 July 2014

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 5 minutes.

Uncontrolled transmissions from Ealriana and Alrian continue, disrupting sleep patterns, distracting personnel, and, in general, driving some insane - except for those who are into early polka-disco and Biismog Accordion-o-Music.

Ear defenders have become useless, modulating the suppression array to their communication frequencies has not worked.

The transmission is heard throughout the station, by ships in the area, and by personnel in the shipyard. We have been unable to trace their origin, stop them, or at least lower their volume.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 25 July 2014

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 10 minutes.

Chaos breaks loose on the station as transmissions continue to overwhelm and disrupt communication. Fights break out on the midway and sick bay is overrun with minor injuries and not-so-minor headaches.

Chief Science Officer Sr. Ltn Lawliet has determined that the transmissions may predate any known civilization and a curious twist is added to the mix. The usual annoying soap operas and what has been loosely called “music” was interrupted by a news flash: an attack upon Kairan. We have no idea who, what, or where this Kairan is, but ships in Aegis space have still armed their weapons to prepare for the worst.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 1 August 2014

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 2 hours.

The ceaseless radio transmissions ended abruptly with the sounds of an attack followed by a massive explosion, then static. No energy from the weapon reached or affected our systems. Incoming ships reported that the signal was strongest a parsec and a half out, but five to ten parsecs out the transmission was garbled. Engineering and science are still working to pinpoint the origin.

In response to the threat of attack, sixteen ships of the Caledonian Defense Force arrived. Their Commanding Officer, Rear Admiral Nynaeve, was welcomed aboard Aegis, the ships are in orbit, and various ships’ companies are rotating through the transporters for leave on the station.

Security and medical are relieved that barroom brawls, midway scuffles and fights, as well as domestic quarrels have subsided with cessation of the transmissions. However, the Defense Force has been on cruise for a long time, with little opportunity to spend their pay. Commander Marx has ordered extra security to the midway, especially the bars.

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 8 August 2014

7 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 2 hours.

The time is 1800 local.

The transmissions stopped.

Nothing in our area exploded.

Despite rumors to the contrary and the desires of our enemies, we are still alive.

Those injured in the fighting and hysteria that overtook the station have filtered out of sick bay.

Rear Admiral Nynaeve and the Caledonian Defense Force are enjoying leave on the station, courtesy of the generosity of Starfleet (though HQ won’t know it until the bill arrives).

Engineering’s effort to pinpoint the source points back to the station. Ships in the area have forwarded enough scans for triangulation, but the results have been puzzling to the novice.

To sort through all the theories and quell rumors, the captain has called a staff meeting to commence five minutes after sim begin, in the C&C conference room.

=Season 19 Finale=

Mission Brief | Sky Harbor Aegis | 15 August 2014

8 November 2387 - Stardate 2387.313

TBS was 14 hours.

The time at sim begin is 0600, begin Alpha Watch.

The Caledonian Defense Force remains in orbit; many are enjoying liberty on the station.

A staff meeting discussed the possible origin of the transmissions that disrupted communications in Aegis space for 48 hours. The disruption probably came from an amplification of the signal by our experimental power cores. Chances of a recurrence are slim and should post no significant threat to the station.

One theory is that we were hearing the final moments of a civilization that lived on a planet in the area. Millennia ago a war broke out and the planet was destroyed, creating the present asteroid field. The field is now known as the Ealriana Asteroid Field.

Science will conduct a thorough survey of the asteroid field while engineering investigates the power core.
