STSF_BluRox -> USS Republic Mission Briefing 51308.19 - Season 21 The Republic has rendezvoused with the transfer fleet and is in the process of offloading the last of the refugees, the few prisoners and our own Bardolph to see that they don't escape again before properly put away for their crimes against the rescuers. During the transfer BluRox has been off meeting with Admiral Calvert, and is scheduled to return momentarily and we will then go assess the damages done, and see what salvage can be made of the sector.

Christina_Nickles -> :: walks into main security and to her console to check her patrol route for this shift::

STSF_BluRox -> :: decides to override and attach anyway, knowing it will set off an alarm to wake them up::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Hates being alone now. Logs off and heads to the bridge ::

Ayumu Kasuga -> Aye sir.. +Onza+ This is the Republic. We read you. You are cleared to dock

 

STSF_BluRox -> ACTION: BluRox sends an override code to start the grapple access as the alarm goes off just as Ayumu answers

STSF_BluRox -> Now now Holly...I'm sure you can go ahead and cut it, because Kwai will be louder than any klaxon once she gets ahold of someone for that

Capt Rian Kwai -> Understood. And at what time are you going to let the crew know they can stand down? ::raising a brow::

STSF_BluRox -> ::walks over to Ayumu:: I’m glad you are taking responsibility for your actions. It's only been a few years since we had that terrorist attack, and with these angry settlers, it is in our best interest to be vigilant and cautious.

STSF_BluRox -> I just came from talking with Admiral Calvert. He wants us back out there to assess the damage, to see if we've lost that main transit route, and if we've lost that entire belt of dilitium ore

August Jax Robinson -> That isn't always a good thing William ::walks down the opposite way smirking::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Works on her report ::

STSF_BluRox -> I see the last of the refugees have been offloaded, the prisoners and Bardolph. So unless you have any reservations or reasons to delay, then I'd like to get underway as soon as you feel we possibly can secure everything and do so

Capt Rian Kwai -> So we're going back in, hmm? How are we going to know it's safe to enter the region?

STSF_BluRox -> Well, that's the trick, now isn't it? We've lost all the readings from the long range sensor buoys. We're hoping as we get partially out there, we'll pick up some of the midrange ones that might give us a clue or something we can pick up as a final reading...

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::taps at her console:: Course has been plotted. We're ready to go.

STSF_BluRox -> My suggestion would be to travel in segments, stopping occasionally and scanning as best we can to make sure we're not flying into...nothingness....

Christina_Nickles -> ::out loud but more to herself:: I’m glad those folks are gone. Wish Bardolf didn’t have to stay but I’m sure he will be back soon

Capt Rian Kwai -> We might be able to use what they've done....I hope.

Heather Jamieson -> We are nearly completed. From our sensors alone the damage is extensive

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::heads into security himself:: I will be glad when we are out of this sector.

Heather Jamieson -> We should lay out buoys as we go. We can collect long-term readings.

Capt Rian Kwai -> Do we have enough?

Heather Jamieson -> We will make due with what we have sir.

 

STSF_BluRox -> ::takes a seat:: Rian, you need anything else here from the transfer ships before we go?

Heather Jamieson -> We can't cover the area as it once was, but we can let a future mission by another ship to place additional buoys once the long-term data is collected.

Holly>:: shows up in Security:: So...looking over at Will and Christina:: How did you like our tactical breach this evening?

Heather Jamieson -> Safe to say travel back into that area will be a challenge.

Holly> I'm sure you enjoyed that ship wide Klaxon waking your nap eh Willie?

Capt Rian Kwai -> But if we have the raw materials, we could construct more buoys. Have you all coordinated with engineering?

Heather Jamieson -> One buoy takes about 10 hours to construct. We could do three at one time.

Heather Jamieson -> We can construct 3 at a time, each taking 10 hours. Our current 14 will hold us for a while.
