STSF_BluRox -> USS Republic Mission Briefing 51305.13 – Season 21 The Republic’s away team has finally been able to return to the ship after being rescued from the damaged tour vessel, deep beneath the surface of Risa on what was supposed to have been a pleasure trip. Something just does not sit right with this, as the entire bow of the vessel, along with pilots had gone missing. The Admiral told the Risan’s that she expected a report on her desk within the hour detailing the facts and why this happened and endangered her crew and those missing. It is definitely something we cannot leave to endanger others.

Jameson Bardolph -> ::back on the ship, feeling worn out and baffled::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::in Sickbay, presumably hoping those leeches will return her to her normal color::

Tory Knight -> ::having made it to her quarters, prepping for a shower, because it was OMG! hot in that shuttle, and it smelled like the gaming room at a 24-hour, weekend convention::

Tory Knight -> ::in the shower, playing back over the events in the shuttle, brain still mulling over the how and why::

Jameson Bardolph -> ::heads into Main Security, sits down at a terminal, and begins looking up computer records of the {can't remember name of the place where they got stuck}::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::sits up:: I still don’t know what happened down there, it didn’t look like explosive decompression. And if they had lifeforms that strong and large down there, someone would have noticed by now. Weird.

STSF_BluRox -> Nurse Betty> ::Sticks big flat black leach onto each of Christina's fingers

STSF_BluRox -> Nurse Betty> Of course it feels awful......the leaches are biting into you, and the secretions from their bucal cavity are causing an anticoagulation effect to make you bleed out some and hopefully pulling out some of that dye as well

LtCmdrRobinson -> Well I didn’t see anything out there both times we went out. So invisible cave spiders it is.

Christina_Nickles -> :: closes eye not wanting to see these creatures::

Capt Rian Kwai -> I've been talking with them. Not sure how much information we'll get back from them. As I understand it, they still do not know what happened. They have however shut down opperations for the time being.

STSF_BluRox -> Nurst Betty> ::picks up a big fat one and turns to Heather:: Are you sure you don't want to give this a try?

Christina_Nickles -> I hope it works.

Heather Jamieson -> No... I've had my fill of them as a child..

Jameson Bardolph -> ::whistling under his breath as he searches for any records of an incident like the one they experienced::

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> Good, see that they do until further notice. We can't take a chance of any one, especially a civilian and getting stuck down there, trying to get out of the ship and then burning to death down there

Ayumu Kasuga -> You did?

Heather Jamieson -> Y..ess.

Ayumu Kasuga -> Oooh... well, at this point, I figure why not? Can get any worse than this can it? ::points to her face::

STSF_BluRox -> Nurse Betty> You're sure? You seemed to have the worst of the color patterns left, you don't' even wan t to give it a go? ::holds up the creature to Heather's face

August Jax Robinson -> Altho... I think I got some wind burn down there.... so I did get some color :D

Heather Jamieson -> No! Keep them away!

Tory Knight -> ::brain still in overdrive, finishes up her shower and works on pulling herself back together before returning to Science and putting some of her thoughts through the system::

Capt Rian Kwai -> You do know we can't regulate what they do as a civilian operation? While Risa is a member of the Federation, we don't make the rules on Risa. About all StarFleet can do is put an advisory out on the cavern tours and make it a no-go for our shoreleave folks.

STSF_BluRox -> We can regulate the fact that they are operating unsafe tourist attractions which are possibly endangering Federation citizens. We have to make sure it's at least shut down until they can prove it's safe

 

LtCmdrRobinson -> Oh that’s about it. ::grins and ducks away::

Heather Jamieson -> :: Briskly walks to the nearest lift and enters :: Lt. Jamieson's quarters. :: The lift moves ::

Capt Rian Kwai -> Not really. They're a self governing entity. We can lodge a complaint with the Federation council, but we can't shut them down.

Christina_Nickles -> ::cringes slightly as one of the leeches hit a nerve before their anesthetic from the creature takes affect.

STSF_BluRox -> If that's the way they want it, rank comes out, and I pull all Fleet and Federation passes. Then, they will have to make sure to determine the issue

Heather Jamieson -> :: Exits the lift and heads to her quarters ::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::winces as a leech continues to suck on her neck::

LtCmdrRobinson -> (I think Blu is trying to get us all Banned from Risa again)

Heather Jamieson -> :: Sits on the edge of her bed, still shaking ::

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::shakes her head:: I didn't say that they wouldn't be willing to deal with it. I'm just pointing out what we can and can't do. You're jumping to assumptions that shouldn't be made now.

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> Well, as I said...it's just a matter if they deliver the report I requested or not. If they do, it may be a moot point

STSF_BluRox -> Nurse Betty> now lets see ::removes one from Kasuga:: Humm...Not quite done yet..Much better. I'd say another treatment or two and we should be able to clean up most of this

Heather Jamieson -> :: Holds on to her pillow, tightly ::

Tory Knight -> ::pinning her hair up in an approximation of a twist -- it really needed another inch to do it properly -- she checks herself over one last time in the mirror, then heads out of her quarters toward the lift::

Jameson Bardolph -> ::makes a frustrated noise and lets the PADD fall on his lap, drumming his fingers on it absently::

Ayumu Kasuga -> I don't know.. to be honest, I don't feel very tired

STSF_BluRox -> Nurse Betty> I think that's enough for both of you today. ::looks at the fat now bluish green creatures. No...that's just you losing adrenaline from being trapped on your shuttle

STSF_BluRox -> ACTION: Christina and Ayumu look much better, having let the leeches suck out much of the dye which has pooled in their extremities. However....... Heathers fingers, legs, toes and.....backside from sitting on the shuttle so much...have become glowing greenish beacons
