Crash Calestorm

Cheezy Doodles!

The following log takes place during and immediately after our 04.29.13 Sim...

Calestorm watched the situation play out on the main bridge viewer with a mixture of sympathy and amusement as she silently thanked the Great Bird of the Galaxy that she didn’t have to ride point on this one.

Lt. Tifa Kvar, Lt. Shan Shalin and Ensign TShia Khora were handling things quite well and the guards accompanying the dispatched support team consisted of two enlisted personnel, one representing the MARDET* and the other representing Security.

Considering Crash and Scooter had been referred to as “Old Lady” and “Green Lady” by the wayward teens and they’d also inferred that Wesley was from the Orion Cartel, it was best the two command officers not get involved as things would not end well, thank you very much.

Crewman Saunders wore a mobile tactical combat headset to record the mission and Private Hudson would occasionally come into the camera view with an appropriate smirk or sarcastic eyebrow. Crash admitted it was difficult to keep a straight face at the whole situation, the Hudson Commentary aside.

She’d taken to calling the two ringleaders of the traveling teens – siblings Shannon and Shane – “Sherlock” and “Watson” respectively, off the record and only on the private team channel of course.

Hudson’s ugly mug appeared in the HUD* display again with the comment, “Cheezy Doodles incoming, I suggest the entire Away Team take cover immediately.” He then pulled back out of the frame and Saunders zoomed the tactical camera in to reveal…a raging battle of Doodles winging back and forth across the cargo area of the shuttle.

Oh Dear….the Captain did an Epic Facepalm gesture.

Tifa and Shan were tag teaming like pros, the officers asking the necessary questions to get the whole truth out of the kids. Khora as well asked the occasional question, more so interested in the health and general well-being of the kids. The bottom line was the teens hailed from the local Human colony in sector, had intended to ‘catch some waves’ on a survey world deemed off limits in recent months and weren’t supposed to be where they were. They’d run into mechanical troubles with their older model courier shuttle, used as a planet-hopper, and needed some help.

And they probably didn’t file any sort of flight plan to boot, she mused to herself.

Crash sympathized as she’d had some interesting adventures in her own youth, but the ‘Creek would likely be escorting the kids and that so-called transport back to their colony planet once repairs were made and she grinned wickedly at that thought.

Nothing like the line ship of the Border Patrol riding herd on y’all, ya think?

She turned her attention to the officer manning bridge FOPS*. “Bailey, inform the Deck Chief to expect incoming to the Hanger Bay, gonna be making some repairs to a well-used puddle jumper.”

Her next statement winged over to Communications. “Maya, let Chef know the Mess Deck is going to have company of the civilian variety.” She sighed and commented as her attention focused again on the live feed, “…least we can do is feed ‘em while they’re on board for repairs…”

On the main bridge view screen, a cheezy snack zoomed past the camera feed as Crewman Saunders focused further in on Kvar and Shalin as the officers continued speaking with Shane and Shannon.

Cheezy Doodles. Indeed.
