SFC III

Hello, those of you who play star fleet command 3,

yesterday i was playing it ehh? i used defiant against excelsior, like yesterday's ds9 episode, but in the game those two ships had the same size, on tv excelsior was like 3 or 4 times that of a defiant, and i looked at the size comparision it is even smaller, then i got very sad, because they are not to the right size.....and the sovereign is almost same size as excelsior, that is just sad.

                    :dead:

Hey there,

I believe the Sovereign Class is actually supposed to be just slightly larger than the Constitution Class. Given previous size review, that would make it about equal to that of the Excelsior Class. Both ships have around 25 decks, give or take.

Yea, deck wise, but the soverign is way longer...I cant remember what the excelsior is, but I know the soverign is about 604 meters.

is your size resolution equal to what your program needs? Because word on the street is that if you don't, your ships could look smaller and/or larger than advertised by the marketers.

actually 700 meters, what i meant by size is length, the defiant is alot less shorter and smaller than excelsior, but in the game they look the same size. Excelsior is about 450 meters.

Okay. But if they really had an accurate size comparison, you would see your Excelsior class fine and the Defiant Class would just look like a tiny dot.

It probably wasn't practical to make them really accurate.

There was a DS9 episode where the Defiant fought an Excelsior-class ship (They were told the Defiant was piloted by shape-shifters.)  This looks like about the size ratio depected on TV.
