RES Talon Mission Briefing 51303.07 - Season 18

 

As the away team had been given a bit of a tour on the way to the Khre’Riov’s location, tr’Tronius’s attitude of welcome has been worn thin by the apparent lack of appreciation shown by those that came down at his behest. However, they now approach the hospital wing where the previous captive has been held, maenaks frantically trying to correct as much of the inflicted dermal damage as possible before the party arrives. The maenaks have kept the woman sedated to help her pass over the withdrawal effects of the Defloxo that she had been heavily dosed with, but also, as the chemicals’ she was given to ‘help her’, also has the effect of severely limiting short term memory.

We were able to heal up most of the dermal injuries, caused by her captors, though na sure if it was during some sort of interrogation technique or self inflicted. However, as many were on her back, I would have to rule out the self inflicted.

Kheinsa Maec -> No, there was na previous substance abuse issues. She passed her last physical, it having been given by two independent maenak, passing with flying colors.

tr'Tronius> We should let her rest and the Maenaks back to their treatments. We can discuss this na, in the middle of medical bay. I'm afraid we're still awaiting word from the home world from her commanding officer and bond mate. We sent the messages and should be hearing back from them in the next week or so.

Laehval tTemarr -> There is little need for authorization from the home world. We are ultimately responsible for her care and well being, as well as her return transport to ch'Rihan. ::Laehval threw a glance at Maec and t'Mahren.:: But au are correct in that we should speak of these things elsewhere. Our maenaks will continue to confer with yours while au and I speak privately.

tr’Tronius-> And we have had a few incursions in our space lately from Kll'inghannsu...it would be a terrible thing to send her off too soon, and then au end up in a battle and she unable to facilitate an escape...But ie, let us adjourn to the briefing room down the corridor ::can NA wait to get rid of her and this bothersome Enarrain as well::

Forgive me if I speak far more bluntly than to which au are accustomed, but as au say... I am na diplomat. I am na certain why au feel the need to stall us from collecting our Enarrain, but I think that, perhaps, au fear some of the blame of her abduction will fall upon au. Of course, that is na the case. We only wish to return her to ch'Rihan and are truly thankful for the assistance au have provided.

tr'Tronius> Why would au think that? Nor, why would I feel that I would take the blame for a minor officer, be he of a minor house related to my house, as I certainly had nothing to do with this, other than seeing to the Yy'a of the veruul that did this. Trust me, he paid the price. Au must understand that we take this responsibility quite serious. She has been hrrau our care, and do na wish to take responsibility for her ill health if au take her before she has finished healing. We will need for au to acknowledge that au did na heed the advice of our maenaks, and that any adverse issues that arise, are clearly na our fault. If au will take the responsibility, we will transfer her to au. However, remember what the maenaks said, she may have some memory issues due to the mixture of the drugs. Enough so, that she my had delusions of what has happened, or gaps in her memories. By na letting her totally heal, au do run the risk of permanent damage.

Laehval tTemarr -> I would na think of doing otherwise, Deihu. We have traveled far and experienced much turmoil to return her to her proper place on the ship. Au must forgive us if we are anxious to see her transferred where she belongs. We, of any, would na put her health in jeopardy. If the maenaks think that she will suffer from being returned to the Talon, then they will suggest as much. However, I think au underestimate the medical facilities on our ship. She will be well cared for, in every way imaginable. Draw up the release and I shall sign it immediately, for I have full confidence that our medical staff will be able to care for her as well as yours... if na better, for they have served with her for years and know her well.
