Now Who Has the Prize and Who is Suprised?

“Rekkhai, we’ve arrived in system, dropping to impulse power and requesting permissions for standard orbit coordinates,” the helmsman reported.

“Menkha, once we have achieved standard orbit, inform me. I will be taking the pair of dheno with me to carry our ‘Prize’ to present to my uncle,” tr’Gilas turned to look at each of them. “We shall all earn an honored spot in the new regime for what we have done upon this mission. I will see that each of au names are written into the Book of Honor at headquarters.”

“Rekkhai, my apologies, but au requested to know when we had been given permission. We have also been contacted by the Deihu’s staff, and he wishes for au to hteij down immediately and attend to an audience with him.”

“Vhria menkha, dheno, come with me. I will need au to carry our package down with us for delivery, though I do expect her to be waking sometime hrrau the near future.”

tr’Gilas and the pair of dheno turned and each slid down the ladder access to the hold below, where he had left the unconscious woman bound and wrapped up hrrau a sheet. “Pick her up and carry her between au, unless io of au just wishes to toss her over aur shoulder. Be quick about it, I do na wish to keep my uncle waiting.”

Reaching up to hit his t’Liss, tr’Gilas informed the Deihu’s staff that he was ready to be hteij’d directly to his uncle’s location and that there were four to transport. The machinery began its mechanical whine, and soon, the transport officer in charge of the Deihu’s facility watched as they swirled out in a vortex of red sparkling light to reform before him. He too reached up to tap a t’Liss, letting the Deihu know that they had arrived. “Nobel Deihu, those au have awaited have arrived, shall I send them up to au now? Ei. At once.’

The transport officer turned to tr’Gilas, “The Deihu would like for au and au guests to join him in his library at once. If au need someone to show au the way, I can arrange for an escort.”

tr’Gilas scowled at the officer, “The day I need an escort in my own family holdings, will be the day au make Enarrain.” tr’Gilas turned and motioned for the two dheno to pick up the woman and bring her along with them, exiting as the transport officer was contemplating what that veruul would look like with a kaleh protruding from between his scapula.

Entering the mansion, it did take him two wrong turns to actually remember the way, but his dheno also knew na to mention it, instead thanking him for the tour of his families holdings while they were visiting, but finally they made it to the door of the library. Two guards stood before the doors, saluting and opening them to allow him access, then entering behind him and the dheno, closing the doors behind them and standing at vaed’rae.

tr’Tronius sat in a large blackwood chair, glaring at tr’Gilas, the anger rising the more so when he saw that the two dheno carried with them a body wrapped hrrau a sheet.

“Uncle, I bring you a great prize. Io that will do much to weaken au foes, and push the Othan to where we rightfully belong.” Walking over, he pulled the body from the dheno, letting it drop to the floor, the sheet coming loose from part of the body, revealing a woman dressed only in a short stained shift that any house servant might wear. Bruises and burn marks covered her back, arms and feet, where he had tortured her, for no other reason than wanting to break her. “I so wanted to test her cell’s reproduction and repair rates, but I promised au I would do na cutting before I was able to transfer her to au, so that we did na run the risk of an infection that might yy’a her before au scientists could have at her.”

“Veruul! What have au done?!” tr’Tronius walked over and knelt before the unconscious woman. “Is she alive still?” as he reached to feel for a pulse at her neck, all the while noting the abuse she had taken.

“Vriha much so Uncle. She is just unconscious. To make it easier to handle her, I’ve kept her on large quantities of Defloxo, mixed with a mind altering, or rather a mind-numbing agent to keep her under control. She was proving quite difficult at first, and fought almost every suggestion and order I gave her.”

“What have au done!? tr’Tronius asked again, this time in a more angry tone of voice. “Do au know what au have done to us? Au have brought ruin to us all,” as he ran his fingers across the damaged areas of skin. “Au sadistic little veruul. There was na reason to treat her thusly. Au either have the honor to yy’a her, or au respect her rank and just imprison her, but this. Only a coward…”

“Uncle, au said auself, she is but a clone. A replica, na a true person, so how can au accuse me of cowardice, when this…..this thing, has na rights to even be pretending to lead the life she has. She has fooled na only the Daise’Khre’Riov of Galae, but all those Maenaks from Galae and even the Fvillah, but we know what au think of him as well. Rejoice Uncle, I bring au the means to hurt au adversaries, and then, once they are shown to be weak-minded and corrupt, au will take au place.”

“And what of Talon? Au have led them all the way fahd from the homeworld. Au have made every mistake au could, and au have now compromised our plans.”

“As for Talon, I do na fully understand that situation. I had been given to believe that her crew hated her, and that her XO had even assassinated her once already, hence the clone replacement, and several others had attempted to do the same. I’d have never suspected they’d have chased so far after her to win her back.”

“Even if her core crew were na so enamored with her, au have to remember, they all respect her bondmate, and many would do anything to complete the task he’s set for them. Surely they followed her for him. However, there is na way we can keep her hna, and we can na give her back the way she is.”

“Uncle, I do na understand what you mean by ‘giving her back’? Surely you can spring au plan hna, yy’a her, harvest her cells, and ship her head back to her bondmate. That would surely break his will.”

“And knowing tr’Vatrix as I do, it would also give him a cause, to wipe out anyone and everyone that could have possible connection to what was done with her. The man is hrrau jol with her, au veruul!!”

“If au will na yy’a her, but can na give her back as she is, I do na understand. Do au wish me to take her and continue with my testing? My ship can be underway within the hour.”

“Au misunderstand me tr’Gilas. Au see, at this point, I have na choice, than to be her ‘rescuer’; her ‘savior’ as it were. My men will have rescued her from the fate of a sick individual, with schemes of wanting to be the io that saved the Empire from the ‘Evil Space Clone’, that is subverting our people.”

“Uncle, surely au don’t mean to….,” tr’Gilas turned to see the two guards approaching from behind him, his own dheno unsure and hesitating to see if they should draw their own weapons. That io siuren they waited, was all that was needed by tr’Tronius’s house guard to vaporize the two dheno, while tr’Gilas stood watching, suddenly realizing that this was to be his fate as well. He turned to run, only to find that the door was locked and he had no route of escape. “Uncle. Fhaen. Really…it was just a lack of judgement. I can take her away and hide her for some time, until they believe that she truly is yy’a and give up on looking for,” his hand suddenly flew to his face, as tr’Tronius backhanded him.”

“Na, I’m afraid the only recourse I have, is to return her and let them know we rescued her from au,” tr’Tronius nodded to the guards, who both fired at once fully disrupting tr’Gilas so that only an outline of ash remained upon the floor.

tr’Tronius turned to his aide, “She is to be taken to the medical bay and a maenak to see to her immediately. I want dermal repair upon these burns and bruises, and start to detoxify her system of the defloxo. However, keep giving her the mind-numbing agent that tr’Gilas was giving her. We can’t have her waking and remembering everything. Once we get a few doses hrrau her, she’ll be quite addled and anything she thinks she remembers, we can put off as her just hearing our voices while in our medical bay.”

“Nobel Deihu, might I remind au of au council’s suggestions as well, of the matter of tr’Gilas’s ship hrrau orbit, and au had best make that call to the Talon, before they arrive.”

“I will attend to it hrrau a siuren,” tr’Tronius turned to his guards, “Has anyone else seen the woman that was brought fhad today?”

“Ie Rekkhai, the hteij operator saw them bring in the woman, should we handle him, hrrau the same matter?”

“Na, he had always provided menkha service and has never had a single slip of the tongue when it comes to who is coming or going at all hour. I have a different idea instead, tell him he is promoted to the rank of Enarrain and he is to take command of the Myrista and take it to the Hoetzlim Repair Facility, where he is to have the ship overhauled and the remaining traitors onboard, put to yy’a. Assign him a pair of dheno to take care of this from our household staff.”

“That is a very opportune promotion for the officer,” the aide noted.

“Ie, and how I reward good service. Now go see to my wishes. The Khre’Riov is to be repaired by the time Talon arrives.”

“When will that be Rekkhai?”

“Soon. Because I am going to contact them and invite them to come visit and explain…what exactly has happened here, and how we were able to rescue her. They will be happy to have her back, which should prevent too many questions. Now go, see to my wishes.”

“It will be as au order Deihu.”
