STSF_BluRox -> USS Republic Mission Briefing 51301.28 The Admiral has returned to the Republic along with a delegation of Risan officials who are demanding answers, and want to verify information given to them by the admiral, by independently verifying other crew members versions of the facts. Senior officers and any of their subordinates which had been involved have been ordered to the large conference room.

STSF_BluRox -> Prime Minister, I'm sure we'll be able to assure you that this was no accident on our part, that we were just happy to be nearby and able to deter what could have been a serious .....situation

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> I'm surprised that you would be in the area, given the directive that your crew avoid out planet, due to earlier ...... occasions....

STSF_BluRox -> Prime Minister, it is a large sector, and there are other planets and things to tend to in the area as well...

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> Well, I'll like to hear from those that were involved as well....

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::is grateful that the shenanigans that were taking place before Blu arrived have stopped just in time:;

 

STSF_BluRox -> ACTION> :: Two of the delegation lean together motioning towards the green women, then back to something on their padd::

Jameson Bardolph -> ::reflects that he's still not quite clear on all the details about said weapon even now::

Capt Rian Kwai -> :;covers her mouth, trying not to laugh as no one seems to want to actually *say* anything....just head shakes and nods::

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> I see, and there has also been some commotion at the Pleasure Dome with three Orion .....actors...for want of a better term, in a holovid that's taken the planet by storm....I see them here today

Capt Rian Kwai -> In all honestly, while I was on the planet, I was not involved in the incident. I only heard about the weapons after the fact.

Jameson Bardolph -> ::listening quietly::

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied Staffer> And would they care to sign a release for the video, it's become popular and many of our guests have asked about it... ::stops when he sees the look from the Prime Minister, as he interrupts the First Officer:::

Jameson Bardolph -> ::almost chokes suddenly trying not to laugh::

Christina_Nickles -> ::looks to heather whishing she would not have said that out loud although its kind of hard to get around it:

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> ::rubs a paw over her face, wishing they'd have left that part out, as they were disguised, but too late now::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::video's already out... at least maybe they could get a few strips of latium outof it!::

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::makes note - Heather = Worse. Spy. Ever.::

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> ::sighs and gives Rian 'that look' that there would be a 'discussion' of her keeping the crew under control when this was over.......

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::shrugs, as if to say 'what's she gonna do?'::

STSF_BluRox -> Prime Minister, if we could get back to the matter at hand....

Capt Rian Kwai -> ;:besides duct taping Heather's mouth shut::

STSF_BluRox -> ::wishing she could indicate the airlock, but can not with company aboard::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::Glances over at Heather, wondering what actually happened at Minos Korva::

STSF_BluRox -> Prime Minister, as my first officer mentioned..... We were in the area, and recieved orders from Admiral Calvert, that they had received intelligence of a weapons auction, and that a potentially dangerous weapon might be involved.....

STSF_BluRox -> That is when we diverted the ship to Risa, so that we could take a team down, with myself included in disguise to try to determine if there were such a threat, and if so, nueturalize it

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::hoping the crew will take the blatant hint that Blu has laid out on the table for them and follow her story instead of the 'spies like us' mission they were on earlier::

Jameson Bardolph -> ::angles head casually towards Blu for a moment, absorbing this::

 

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> ::raises voice a bit:: You're trying to tell me, that you knew there was this horrible weapon, and decided to chance solving it, without involving us?

Jameson Bardolph -> ::then looks back towards the PM, expression unreadable::

LtCmdrRobinson -> ::speaks up:: We weren’t sure who all was involved.

STSF_BluRox -> Cardboard Tisa>> Wonders if Rian is constipated from the looks she is giving the crew::

Christina_Nickles -> :: cringes at the raised voice::

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::listens::

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::is trying Jedi mind-tricks on the crew...or Force choke on those who'd speak out of turn....hence the constipated look 'cause this is Star Trek not Star Wars::

LtCmdrRobinson -> Couldn’t risk tipping our hand if someone in your government was involved.

STSF_BluRox -> Prime Minister.... let me assure you, if there had been time, we would have, but even the little bit of time we had, we barely were able to retrive it and get it off the planet…as it was, several of those attempting to move these weapons, and 2 of our security staff were casualties from this incident.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Listening ::

STSF_BluRox -> Besides........yes, exactly as Mr Robinson has stated. Will is our Chief of Security. Will, could you please explain to the Prime Minister how you were able to remove the weapon from the planet, and dispose of it,a nd why you did not try it disarm it on the planet. I'd like your team members to pitch in as well

Jameson Bardolph -> ::steeples his hands thoughtfully, getting his head around what seems to be the story du jour::

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> yes, I've very much like to hear your crew's version

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied Staffer> ::wonders if he could ask one of the green girls out if they were allowed to come back down to the planet::

LtCmdrRobinson -> Well we went to the planet under cover of course, posing as people who were invited to the auction. When the time was right, we grabbed the case and managed to get it off planet on a...borrowed...transport.

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> ::looks at Bardolph, and see's the wheels turning, knowing he's analyzing what's already been said and working on his explanation:: smiles::

Christina_Nickles -> :: nods at the last part as she was with him fr that::

LtCmdrRobinson -> We examined the case, planet side. Both myself and our chief engineer. We concurred that it would be ill-advised to attempt a disarm on the planet. The device had a number of failsafes.

LtCmdrRobinson -> We managed to get it a safe distance away from the planet before it was detonated.

LtCmdrRobinson -> This was the only available safe method we had at our disposal that wouldnt risk a body count on your planet.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Raises a hand :: I piloted one of our shuttles to assist in removal of the weapon as backup and brought more of our crew down to help.

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> Safely detonated, and now there is what, a radioactive cloud that could endanger incoming traffic?

Heather Jamieson -> :: She was not sure if the context of her assistance helped at that part of the story, but her part in all of this is what they wanted ::

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> I will confirm she did, she took me down when I went to assist, which is why my fur is still a bit ....with the dye::

Capt Rian Kwai -> The cloud will disperse in a few days. And it's high enough in the atomospher to cause no long term affects.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Sees Ayumu's glance, she did not tell her that she piloted a shuttle ::

LtCmdrRobinson -> As you well know, there is already a large amount of radiation in space as it is. This radioactivity will disperse on its on very quickly.

Jameson Bardolph -> ::stirs thoughtfully in his chair and then speaks up to add:: We were also able to disable a launch facility hidden in the {{name of resort complex}}.

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::hm, always nice to have more shuttle pilots::

LtCmdrRobinson -> It was only a danger to the ships nearest to the explosion at the time, which was just the Republic.

Jameson Bardolph -> *launch control facility

Heather Jamieson -> To add about the radiation danger, if the explosion has occurred in the atmosphere, along with those killed instantly, much of the continent would have to be evacuated. The resulting radiation would have taken decided to disappear on it's own.

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiid> ::looks at Bardolph:: Launch facility? Then...it was not just being sold, they were going to use it on 'our PLANET?' How could they, the loss of life, the ruin of such beauty of htis region

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> Luckily, they chose an isolated area, to make a point....and probably because they thought it would be more secluded

Jameson Bardolph -> I can't speak to their exact intention. ::quietly:: Just to what we saw and shut down.

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> There are some here that are not venturing much information.:: turns to Jax:: Could you tell me who you are, and what part you took in this?

Capt Rian Kwai -> :;wondering the same thing, like how this was done under their noses::

Heather Jamieson -> :: She did not get to what damage to the weather modification net it would have caused.. more study would have been needed, but likely Risa as a vacation destination would have been a thing of the past ::

STSF_BluRox -> (note, we will be starting a new mission very very very soon)

LtCmdrRobinson -> Not everyone involved was ever fully read into the operation. That is the nature of Deep Cover operations. Those involved were only told what was necessary to maintain their cover and assist in the mission. The Admiral, Captain Kwai and myself are the 3 most knowledgeable.

Heather Jamieson -> :: Heather thought she may have been the least knowledgeable, on more than one count ::

STSF_BluRox -> Dengaran Saiied> Security tapes show you running with the weapon, and also firing a weapon, was that wise? Could you have not set it off, or shot a bystander?

Ayumu Kasuga -> ::was with Lt Grey for most of their time on Risa in their hotel room or hiking::

STSF_BluRox -> Blu> Prime Minister, I think we're digressing. As you can see, it's as I told you, we received orders to try to come save your planet from a major disaster, one that could have ruined a major portion of your eastern continent...as it was, we were able to do so, with minimal loss of life, stopped the guilty from doing their act, saved our own ship, and very, very few people even realize what went on.

 

 

Capt Rian Kwai -> Most of the tourist in the area assumed it was part of the nightly light show.

STSF_BluRox -> In fact, I bet you could get away with saying that you just had fans trying to ....meet the Green Women...:::motions to those at the far end:: and that the big guys with the weapons were just part of a acting body buard, to make it look more.....official...all a 'Publicity Stunt'

STSF_BluRox -> No need to worry people and make them think your planet is unsafe

Capt Rian Kwai -> ::winces at the thought of the 'green' girls would actually pay off::
