Academies...

Greets. I'm interested in joining one of your sims. (Preferably a late night Tuesday one.) But the problem is.. due to my work schedule..I am unable to attend ANY of your Academies. I am a seasoned simmer (with almost 6 years experience) and I really don't think I NEED the Academy, but I know rules are rules.. so I am wondering what can be done about this?

I know there are some discussions in the work to expand the Academy schedule in the near future. I'd suggest you keep an eye out for updates. :(

Awww, there is no way I could get onto a sim? Bah. I am an impatient sort. :( I've been in SFOL previously, which I know this group is an off-shoot .. if that helps any.

I don't know if you could really call this an "off-shoot" of SFOL.  Many of the GMs of STSF were (and some still are) involved with SFOL on AOL.  However, this forum is a completely new entity that has no allegiance or ties to AOL or SFOL.  A lot of simming concepts and conventions are universal across the Internet, there's no real way to trace back to any definitive source.

 

We are, however, associated with Paramount, the home of Star Trek™ and that is why we can use their names and chat room for our purposes.  Thanks.

I hope you don't take offense of me saying it's an offshoot. It was just the word I thought of at the time. I just knew that some of the sims here were originally there .. (or not, I've only been involved in simming since 1997, so I can only go by my personal knowledge.) and hence..the word offshoot came out.

 

Sorry if I wrinkled any feathers. I'm not involved much with any forum drama of any sort.. I'm only here for the love of a game. (And the need for escape..I work retail ferchrissakes!)
