Why Are Au Fahd?

Walking silently beside tr’Vatrix’s armsman, she felt her stomach roil as she tried to keep her nerves still. It was a bit unsettling being back on this ship, where she once awaited her execution for the crimes that she had committed. Crimes she had committed however, in the service to the Empire she loyally served, in an attempt to keep her cover and not expose others who would surely die if their true loyalties were to be discovered.

“It surprises me to see au fahd Daise’Erei’Riov,” tr’Shalor said as he stepped in front of her a siuren to halt her progression.

“It surprises me to see au fahd Daise’Erei’Riov,” she relied back to him. “Why are au na with the io that au were obviously sent fahd to stand guard over? Everyone knew au commitment to the Daise’Khre’Riov, that au were inseparable from au station, and that he was as safe as possible with au by his side, and au devotion to au duty was unquestionable. He must really jol the woman he bonded with, to have entrusted au with her care.”

“What of it?” tr’Shalor narrowed his eyes at her, and grabbed her shoulder.

“tr’Vatrix must have truly jol the woman, for him to give up his most trusted aid, as well as to entrust her to au care.”

“Ie, he jols her greatly, and we are trying to get her back. I’m hoping that is why au are fahd, and na hrrau some th’ann camp,” he relaxed his grip and stepped back.

“I do my duty, just…..hrrau a different manner than au. I serve the Empire, and I serve the Daise’Khre’Riov. Just as au do. We each serve hrrau our own way, which is why......I am fahd now.”

“There is truth hrrau au words, but why are au fahd now?” I sent word to the Daise’Khre’Riov, and he only sends au?”

“I could ask au the same, why au are here now as well? Why are au na out there with her? I have never known au to na follow through with au task, but this time, au have failed, and au are na by her side protecting her.” She gave him an accusatory glance, and gently pushed his hand from her shoulder.

“If au read my report, than au know she left rhea her own, and ordered me to remain. She was ordered by the Fvillah to be captured, and try to leave some sort of trail back to her captors If possible. I wanted to go with her, but she knew the truth, if I were with her when she was captured, I’d have either na allowed that to happen and foiled the Fvillah’s plan, or they’d have yy’a me immediately,” his voice was tight and heavy with anger at her questioning of his duty.

She held a hand up to him to him halt his rebuff, “Easy Na’Tick, I only wanted to hear it from au, yourself; I needed to hear the conviction hrrau au voice. However; we both know that If they were just planning to use her as a pawn against Galae or tr’Vatrix, we could assume she’d still be alive and held for some sort of ransom. What worries me, is that from what I understood from the files I was sent, it is possible she is only wanted as a test subject. They are interested hrrau her or the Daise Maenak, for what they may or may na know of her regeneration. The fact that both have been abducted, and an attempt had been made earlier on both of them, tells much.”

“Agreed, but why have they only sent au?” he questioned her.

“Because a larger force would be too easy to give ourselves away. Do na worry, a small detachment is standing by and I can discuss that more with au Enarrain,” she paused a siuren, “and na hrrau the corridors, where often walls have ears.”

“Fine, let us then join the Enarrain, and discuss au motives and the plans to retrieve her.”

“I understand, that the former Enarrain, io that had once tried to yy’a au charge, was also injured and na longer aboard this vessel?” schooling herself to keep a straight face, without letting her dislike for the man to show. “But au have another that is Enarrain now, that also at io point tried to yy’a the woman that is the Daise’Khre’Riov’s bondmate? In fact, isn’t she the io that actually was able to finally do what so many had in the past tried and failed, or simply just wanted to do?”

“Ie, it is true, N’Dak lies recovering from a shoulder wound, received the day the Daise Maenak was taken,” he replied.

“Ie, I read that part of the report as well. I just meant to ask, do au na find it difficult to stand guard over the woman, with her worst enemies standing beside her? How can au trust them to be that close to her? For that matter, it makes me wonder why tr’Vatrix would even put her into that situation.”

“Au have heard the saying about keeping au friends close but our enemies even closer? It might surprise au, but I was there when she asked him, she actually requested both of them, even ‘after’ what they had done. ”

“Curious….na wonder she always intrigued the man…..,”

“We’d best get moving, I told the Enarrain I’d bring au up to speak with her,” he stepped back aside.

“Very well, we have much to discuss anyway,” she said resuming her course towards the lift.
